- Crow may have accidentally made a wish that Riven granted. He’s done it in the past as Uldren, but now mistakenly as Crow! Crow has had quite the journey over the last couple of years. Rising as a Guardian, being freed from the Spiders grasp, learning his Darkness corrupted past from Uldren and how he killed Cayde. Crow is different, but the events Uldren took part in have changed this universe over time. Long ago, Uldren Sov made a wish to Riven. Scorn were created, Cayde Killed because of it. From a new ship released this season, we learn about another Wish Crow has just made that may have been granted once more by an Ahamkara.

The moment Mara said to Crow in the distance O brother mine, it was an oh crud moment. Riven might be dead but she can still be a troll like how she attempted to troll Mara by impersonating Shaxx.
The idea that the Cayde we saw within the Traveler that Ikora was talking to might be from Crow's unintended wish here could be very neat.
Our guardian to riven: “I would like you to do something”
Riven: “what should you have me do?”
Our guardian: *thunder brewing behind us* “you should…”

I always thought that Cayde was in the afterlife and the afterlife was inside the traveler
Here’s what I think
The wish we have is to follow the witness yes we could have cayde wished back to life but I think that the traveler does that. In the showcase for final shape they say that the traveler recreates important things from the guardian’s journey maybe it will do the same with cayde

The line "I just wish I could tell him I shouldn't have done it." combined with the fact that "Mara's" eyes shone afterwards, really makes me think this truly is a granted wish.

@@Bustuhh This is especially relevant now that we know Crow is going in first. That would indeed enable him to "tell him he shouldn't have done it" directly. This also explains why Cayde is taken-ish in the FS trailer, like the fanatic, he's been resurected through "unconventional" means.

People say Uldren is bad but look at this lore. Dude is more empathetic than most guardians I have talked with. He was bad to US cause he hated guardians and he killed Cayde (who was a guardian too) while was corrupted. But for his people he was a hero and loved person (kinda funny person too😂). Would love to see more adventure histories about him when he was Uldren.

He's not bad... He's just supporting an oppressive secretive and kinda racist monarchy who hunt down everyone who finds out about their actual territory.

He may have a nice heart, but what surrounds it is so twisted. I kinda pity him the way I pity a pitbull that's aggressive, poor thing probably loved everyone but that love was just beaten or trained out of him and it's just, kinda sad.

@@PoppyGaming43 They dont grant wishes as meant, just a twist on as stated. Him being able to tell cayde he shouldnt have done it could be used as reason to revive cayde in some manner if riven so desires.

I mean, there had to be an explanation to how Cayde came back. The Wish probably has entailed that Cayde now cannot leave the Traveler, so while he is back, he wont be coming back to the city
Also love how you can subtly tell that it's Riven posing as Mara.
1. Mourning. Mara literally said that she was angry, but didn't mourn
2. Mara would not say that she manipulated anyone. She would not admit to have done that or a mistake, even to her Brother.
3. The whole shimmering bit
Mara took responsibility for her actions in the great hunt, and directly stated she takes responsibility for separating Taranis and Riven, but Mara said she doesn't regret why she did it, just that she takes responsibility
So if Riven has any plans for revenge for the great hunt, Mara wants the finger pointed at her
Maybe that was the plan all along maybe Cayde is the key to enter the portal that the Witness made or any other way. So Cayde's death was planned from Savathun with Riven? who knows they seem to like posing as other people to proceed with the grand plan
I'd say it's more likely that since he killed Cayde the plan will be to make him forgive Crow and make him the Hunter Vanguard or Crow gets to sacrifice himself to bring Cayde back at the end of the season.
I still think Uldren being swallowed by essentially a giant asshole was a bit disturbing.
The energy around caydes eyes is kinda similar to the weird energy on uldrens face in forsaken

Interesting how Riven told us that Savathun's wish would be the last one she grants. How she said it at the time would imply that it would the one she grants... and no more...
But thinking back on it... she only said it would be the last one she grants... so if she's pretending about her beyond-the-grave weakness... then her granting more wishes like this could be interesting... and quite fascinating...
We are actively working with a dead Ahamkara that can shape shift and grant wishes from the grave AND THIS MF GONNA SAY “I wish blah blah blah”?! I LIKE CROW AS A CHARACTER BUT THATS EXACTLY WHAT LANDED YOUR ASS HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE
What if, this is Riven paying forwards the deal in her own twisted way? She revives Cayde for Uldren, but doesn't make the portal to give Mara the middle claw. Rather, maybe the portal's formed elsehow and Riven knows this will be the case.
Riven is like the Q, a trickster, whose granting of wishes (like so many of the AHAMKARA) allows her to feed on the difference between the desire and the reality. But I get the feeling Riven adds a little 'twist' in what she grants, not just for the chaos that the person did not intend, but also for her own internal amusement.
The Q? Like Picard Q!
So what you're saying is we need a Picard type character to deal with riven, or a Sisko.

I feel like this was bungies plan the whole time with the 15th wish. The description for the triumph read ‘this one you shall cherish’ or something similar. And it makes sense, because we’ll use the wish to get to cayde

Well, since I watched the videos out of sequence, this definitely feels like Riven speaking to me, and perhaps the wish gets Crow shot through into the Traveler rather than the Guardian, as I supposed. That way Crow can apologize to Cayde-6, as wished, and eventually find a way to pull us through into the Pale Heart, as well. Bungie writers, keeping their options open. Huh.

I don't think this is Riven. We've heard mention multiple times this season that many in-universe suspect other Ahamkara may have survived the great hunt. We hear about it from Osiris, some of the seasonal items, and I believe in WR dialogue. Makes me suspect that may be the twist this season.

I think it would be cool for cayde to know what none of us do, the way in, we have his secret message from forsake “it’s on Enceladus” and it would be cool for the wish to bring him back and then have us travel there to find our little key, that won’t happen but I just think it would be interesting
I think that was the Deep Stone Crypt that was on Enceladus, where he was created but changed to Europa.

I'm really hoping that Cayde and Crow get to interact in the final shape. Crow has really grown, and I feel like after TFS he'd be willing to take up the Hunter Vanguard gig. I still have some parts of Crow's character I'm not a fan of, and yes, sometimes he comes off as whiny. That said, he's alright, and I'd be ok with passing the torch onto him in TFS. Just gotta pull it off right...
That said... if this gets twisted by Riven, I'm gonna be genuinely upset. Not at Crow, but Riven. I'd wish to kill her soul... but alas, we all know where that leads.

Not that this has a whole lot to do with this video but it put it in my head if Nathan Fillion a wanted to continue Destiny 2 couldn’t another ghost revive his human body if there was enough of his bones or dna left. I doubt Clovis cared enough to scrub away all the evidence.

My theory is that Cayde is back but trapped in the Traveler because The Traveler can ressurect dead Guardians and use them as a layer of defence to fend off any threats inside the The Pale Heart.

I’m thinking that Riven is manipulating but it’s like one final middle finger to Mara as this is her thing. Yes granting Savathun’s wish is there but Mara can’t stand Riven nor Savathun. I take it as she was shapeshifters as Mara and she’s knows that Uldren knows his past - she actually is apologizing (given that we gave her 1000 different flavours of tea from last wish). I’m just waiting to see which way this goes.
This wish could be used to final-death kill Crow as revenge on Mara, if the theory that in final death guardians have a backup inside the traveler that ghosts are pulling from and that's what Cayde'll be holds true. Since he'd be able to tell him that if he was in the traveler that way as well. Don't think it'll happen but it's a possible eligible clause.
Idc about crow but this backup life thing in the Traveler is an interesting theory and I do very like it

It could make sense that the backups are basically asleep normally, so that they don't change between resurrections. It'd also explain Pujari's visions and the weird things Thanatonauts see

Bruh, if that lore tab was a cutscene it would have been so good. Not only would it give a good reason for Cayde being ‘alive’ in the Pale Heart, but it could also open up potential plot twists, like Crow reverting back to being Uldren, etc. plus it would also revisit the ideas of the power of riven (I.e. shape shifting and twisting wishes) for those who haven’t played Forsaken

Guys remember, the Ahamkara KNOW WE CAN SEE THESE CONVERSATIONS. Always consider that Riven could have not granted the wish to make us get mad at Crow, just for it to turn out that it was a ruse to make us wish for it ourselves.

Because he knew It wasnt Uldren.
He knew that Uldren was on Maras leash just like the fallen, and would easily whip up a whole convo about who his sister is any why no one should utter her name.
Cayde knew he wasnt getting gunned down by an awoken prince, but an ahamkara controlled Awoken Prince.
Cayde really is the one true memory, or guiding light that we need once we enter the portal into the traveler.

You normally only need a piece of one to converse and make a wish, and since we conjured up her dead spirit she can literally speak to whomever she wants makes Riven extremely dangerous...
Personally, i believe Cayde is present inside the traveler because all timelines are flowing and crossing simultaneously. I think we might get to see some of the originals, like Andal Brask and Rezyl Azir as well!!!
