Yes, the cop who held down Floyd should done more to help him, but at the same time Floyd shouldn’t be held up as some hero of the community. He was a terrible person before his death. He didn’t deserve to die but he surely does not deserve to be a role model to millions of black children. Race has nothing to do with it. It all comes down to character and Floyd has shown his true colors. There were trace amounts of drugs in his system upon his death which most likely was the cause of death. Even if the cop held him down with his knee on Floyd’s neck it wasn’t the sole reason he passed. Floyd was speaking very clearly the entire time and was shown resisting the cops so it doesn’t take a lot to prove that Floyd was in perfect shape and wasn’t under threat by the cops. It was his own poor choice to take drugs. There are countless other racially based topics of black Americans being harassed by the true racist folks of this country. Those are the stories that should be told, not Floyd’s. We shouldn’t remember a criminal. We should remember the true members of our community and country who have contributed so much. As an Asian American it is hard for me to watch so many of you white people bow down to the oppressing media who call you privileged. You don’t have any. Just because you’re white doesn’t mean your any better than blacks, Asians, Hispanics, etc. The media is the true enemy here. They are the true racists of this country who want to divide us through a slowly implemented system of segregation against all races. They want you to believe whites are superior to blacks and they want you to believe that blacks are the oppressed. This is not for a good cause. They want to brain wash the American society through lies and propaganda. If you can’t see this I’m truly sorry. I don’t hate or dislike you because of your opinion. When you speak about voting local, I think that is the most important thing that I believe 90% of American have no idea about. I NEVER know when to vote unless its every 4 years for the elections. Honestly there is never any information about voting local unless I google it on my states website and even then I never even heard of the people running. How am I supposed to vote for somebody I don't even know....it's a shame.
Omega3 you have to be proactive yourself and learn about your local government. You need to contact them and ask for information. Google your local county and city government and do your research. Yes, the government should be communicating, but it is the citizens who need to be actively involved.

I edit a podcast for someone that does a phenomenal job of being pro-black without being anti-white. He calls things as he sees them. He talks factually about what he and other black face. No embellishment. He sees it. He works it. Working with him has been a huge eye-opener for me. I've learned a lot. I've gotten out of my bubble. I'm proud to call him a friend.
