I'm fairly new to the Kansas City area, and it really has been amazing to see the diversity that much of the city has. Immigrants are incredibly hard working people and are so loved by God. I hope this will inspire people to show them that love as well ❤️
This is terrific Oliver. The more we show humanity in stories as you did versus just numbers the more we can connect them with our own, and the more we understand how we are all created equal and uniquely in God's image!

I have worked for immigrants who came to this country with absolutely nothing, not even able to speak english, and worked their way up to be successful business owners within several years. They have been a huge inspiration to me for starting a business of my own, and I hope one day to be as successful as they are.

The 'American' Dream is not so different from anyone's dreams, really. But America is a place where prosperity can be achieved through the mix of good laws, open-minded consumers, and a promise kept that if you work hard, you can make it.
What we often forget is that immigrants move to the US not because they are simply wanting to get in on the money or fortune, but because of the opportunities that are in the country. And most of the time the places where they're moving from have these opportunities absent or even deprived of them.
America often forgets how privileged it is (and in many aspects, privilege that it deserves from its storied history), and I believe immigrants don't *just* get to live the American Dream-it redefines what this dream is and keeps it alive.

Kansas City is definitely filled with the best immigrants, for sure! ...but what kind of immigrant wants to come and live in Kansas City, Kansas? Kansas City, Missouri is NOT a sanctuary city (neither are, actually), in fact, the Missouri side is on the NAACP's no-travel warning! Kansas City, Kansas is a wreck, although, they're working on it... This would be a lot more convincing video if we weren't talking about a place dead in the middle of the Midwest.
I remember when Flushing, Queens in NY was looking like a shuttered factory town with storefront buildings that were mostly empty or in the process of "closeouts". When the Asian immigrants moved into the area in the early 80s, it turned the tide of that commercial drain. Now it's a hub of commerce, residences, and hella good food! That's why I love foodies - they understand that when you break bread with an immigrant, over food made by that immigrant, the world gets smaller. ❣️🌎🌍🌏

Thank you for making this video in such a crucial period for our country. There is a lot of negative rhetoric surrounding the topic of immigration and crime. We need more independent content out here that speaks to the human side of what it means to be an American.
