Thursday: Not sure yet, but there will be sins.

Sure, but this movie has barely anything to do with Star Wars except for some of these references. Star wars didnt have driving cities now, did they?

Fun fact: the weapon depicted at the end of the film was pre-fired in the book and used to destroy a city way larger than London, but was cut due to screentime.

You can't just judge the movie by how it looks. There's a lot of people who love Mortal Engines, including myself.
In the book, she had a huge scare that went clear across her face, hitting an eye, and disfigured her nose. In this version... it's literally a facial mark that is fairly common people who work around a lot of machinery. So there is no way she's the only one with that kind of mark in a movie where its literally cities on treads.

Tbh this is one of those films where you kinda need to read the book to have any sort of clue as to what's really going on. Also they missed out so much from the book and I was really bummed about that as it's one of my favourite books
Exactly.
Eh kinda thought that too. Never read the books but informed myself on a few things before right now watching the movie. Which uh. Sure is shit at explaining literally anything. The fact of how little is explained about the cities way of life and the differences between them and so on also messes up allot. Like i cant put the casualties into context. When in the movie this Shrike lad fuckin destroys Airhaven its like, oh really? Youre just gonna destroy a giant fucking flying city for this one fucking gal. My god. This seems pretty much out of proportion. Like the coolest of the cities we've had the chance of seeing gets destroyed within minutes by one fucking dude, that dies in the process, achieving nothing but a short sweet moment of him accepting the bitch Hester or whatever wont become his robot daughter. Great. Thousands of people dead. .. years... of academy training... wasted.
Anyway movie fucked my mind so hard im going to university. Thats bound to be easier than understanding what the fuck the Directors had in mind when producing this movie.
@@flax9999lp They should have made two movies out of the first book, there’s just way too much stuff to go through that incorporating it all makes the move cluttered and unwatchable. And they DID cut out a lot of stuff, and yet it’s still a mess. The entire Tunbridge Wheels part is just gone, as well as Bayreuth, and London doesn’t blow up in the end. How would the second movie even work if the Anti Tractionists make peace with London!? I was hoping they would make movies out of the books when I first read them but damn I’m disappointed, because now nobody will try to give the series another chance, and we will be stuck with this pile of rubbish forever.
@@kingchicken8232 Yeah quite true. I have quite a good amount of fantasy, and the spectacle in the Movie got me hooked, so one day i might read the books and see what the movie could have become. - i mean it really didnt look bad, and if properlly done, fantasy makes you believe shit thats more unrealistic than citys on tracks so uh... maybe some producer will pick it up again in 10-20 years when CGI reaches its absolute peak and itll be easier to make movies pretty much just consisting of CGI and with a smaller budget. Until then yeah we're left with this.

The book was crap, and 100x crap is still crap.
the whole final battle was basically a new hope
I expected the Sin Counter to go absolutely _bananas_ at 1:55...
9:46 Are you kidding me? *HELIUM IS AN INERT GAS!!!*
Exactly!
Some inert gasses can still be flammable. The phrase you're thinking of is a Noble Gas. Nobles gasses arent flammable or explosive.
Now I am remebering the archer episode where he is afraid lf the blimp blowing up but it was explained it can't because it's full of Helium.
@@hydrophobicspider Inert means non-reactive, but they can still be flammable. Depending on what your definition of inert gases is, it could mean the noble gases, or any other relatively inert gases, such as the asphyxiant gases. You may have thought of noble gases, as they were known as the inert gases in the past. However, butane and propane are examples of flammable axphyxiant gases, which again, are relatively inert. Anyways, in this case, using the term Noble Gas for Helium would be more correct.
Rosinante Donquixote no thats hydrogen
Beautiful woman with "grotesque" scars/disfigurements cliche. DING
Charlize Theron in "Mad Max: Fury Road."
Pob Lowe In the book she’s supposed to be missing an eye, her nose, and have her face twisted in a way the curves her mouth. They REALLY underplayed the scars in the movie.
The girl in ready player one is the only one i can think of actually
Dam I didn't think that was a cliche! Now I gotta rewrite my character.
@@ty_teynium I'd like to clarify for you that the cliche is when a woman who has scars that are meant to signify less value/attractiveness she's usually played by a beautiful actress and the scarring/disfigurement makeup is purposefully minimal so that they don't look any less attractive. So if you're writing a character who is genuinely disfigured, thats fine.
Bro I have watched at least all your videos 😂😂 you deserve an oscar!! All of y'all need a Grammy 😂😂
On the overlay for 'Give me everything you got' I expected a line from the Gibraltar scene of 'Das Boot' - "Alles was drin ist LI, alles was drin ist!"
We need a "Jeremy mentions college girlfriend" sin and a compilation bc he brings her up in evey vid lol
Glad to know Klaus made it out of the apocalypse....
Well he is immortal Nathan after all
Well, God doesn't like his company, so there wasn't a choice
I really love the spoofs at the end.
I mean, I was impressed as a 9 year old, but then I read the books at thought "wtf have you done!??? First LOTR now this."
"I WOULD RATHER DIE"
THIS PART HAD ME ROLLING!!! I LOVE THIS!
How did the Necrons jump to an entirely new and seperate universe?
plot twist, the necrons originated on earth, and this is actually a prequel.
Warp travel is unpredictable.
Yup
"Warhammer" takes place in our universe. Edit: As I post that, it strikes me that I don't know if the movie takes place in our universe (haven't seen it).
One rouge Tomb World woke up nearby
She didn't try to escape the city, the small town tried to escape the city, she's basically a hitchhiker
my dad and i went to see this, having no idea what it was, just showed up at the theatre and picked something, and we were the only ones in there so we got to yell at the screen and make sarcastic comments all the way thru it. it was great.
also all those call-outs to the star wars rip-offs but not the "i'm your father" moment? that surprsied me
