haha this seems healthier (except the food coloring), also Cinnamon is not red. So I wonder why they made store cinnamon red? So they can get subsidized I bet.
@Camilleiam, Hi. outside of altitude, indoor temperature, and barometric pressure, and a few other things, the microwave cook times will vary. So, to help me know how to estimate how to convert the times for use in a different microwave, how many watts was the microwave used in the making of the caramels? Did it have a turn-table? And, do you know its square inches capacity?
Chris Wheat dang it! I've never had that happen before! After you take them out of the fridge you sometimes have to let them sit out for a little bit to soften up before cutting them, you could also try microwaving them for a little less time, maybe your microwave runs hotter than mine! I'm sad they didn't work out for you!😢
So I tried this recipe, very easy and the caramel came out perfectly, but I had be watchful of the candy boiling over in the microwave. Maybe I’m at a lower altitude and my microwave is higher wattage… I had to put another microwave safe dish under the other to catch the mess. When it gets close to spilling over, take it out, stir, and microwave again.
This is awesome, a lady on instagram pretty much took your recipe and reposted as her own and won’t give out the list of ingredients unless you comment. She then sends you a link to her website. 😒
You're actually not supposed to stir caramel made on the stove the normal way. After the heat is on, you don't touch it until it's done. Stirring causes sugar crystals to accumulate. Some recipes call for stirring, but when you're making candy, you shouldn't stir unless your recipe contains corn syrup because that helps prevent sugar crystallization. Most people stir to prevent sugar burning and sticking to the pan, but this isn't a problem if you constantly watch the temperature and don't scrape the pan when you pour it into the dish for setting.
The white sugar is unnecessary you just double the Brown sugar the corn syrup is unnecessary and very bad for you And the condensed milk is unnecessary to make microwaved caramel...brown sugar, heavy cream and butter and vanilla all you need
Made the Vanilla Carmels...they're fantastic!
I loved it and will be trying this

Great question. Pity there's no response.

Do you have any idea what the temperature of the caramel is, before you pour into the glass pans?
Super helpful Vanilla very good.

If I wanted to make caramel apples would I just dip them in while it's hot?
Let it cool a little bit then dip. Here is a video that I made caramel apples using this same recipe ua-cam.com/video/EIZsv5rZMHc/v-deo.html :)
@@Camilleiam thank you!
Anyone know what it is in grams?
can i do this without corn syrup?
I used a substitute but the mixture was very wet in the end. Also cause my brown sugar was the hard one so I had to melt it.But I mean you can try.

Don't forget to drink your Cyanide that is good to know! I will try doing that the next time I make caramel that way! 😊
