Deep Purple is more alive than ever before.
Awesome! What a performance.
Best rock group ever on this planet and far beyond 🤘💪🎸👍😉
Simon is such a great player and a perfect fit for this band
Steve Morse will always remain my (guitar)hero - no matter what 😃👏👏I only wish him the very best under the current circumstances!
Simon has fantastic technique but zero emotion in his playing. he plays like he's mocking the band
simon and joe sat.best.❤ with deep purple.
Simon brings life back to purple
Simon is a savage of the six string. And that energy now in the band. Awesome 🙌
Superb guitar playing from Simon! Love it! So fresh!
Well done Ian Gillan , for a man who is grieving the recent death of his wife he still gives it all he can .
That guitarist just gave Deep Purple another Career
Мистер Саймон! Ты! Откуда взялся! Ты же! Черт!... Реинкорнация!...Саймон! Просто Бомба! ❤
This guitarist is so AMAZING, DEEP DEEP PURPLE IS ROCKING !!!!!!!
Great Stuff!
So great to see Mr. Paice doing his thing! The whole band is amazing!!
Ian = still being a cornerstone of the band, after all those years 😃👌👌
Once one of the biggest & best bands on Earth, thank you for the years Deep Purple.
,,,, true
Alright
Sad they're playing a cruise ship very sad
WHO is it you think you are watching from Deep Purple ?
@AUSSIE OUTLAW "Who do we think we are" lol
Pace and Glover always kill it. The guitarist is awesome! Keyboards awesome! What a great sounding lineup
I didn't know who to expect on guitar. Never heard of this guy Simon, but wow, he did not disappoint.
Он просто лучший!!
Some huge holes in his solos, but otherwise, quite adroit at IMMITATING Blackmore, although WAY out front in the mix. I saw Deep Purple perform this live right after Machine Head was released. Blackmore was THE MAN & this guy wishes he could just carry his jock. Over & out.
Guitar player kept playing himself into a corner soloing. Not good at working out of it either. Noticeable.
@@jg6698 "Noticeable" Just like some people's stupidity.
A brutal sound too!Simon is by far the best guitar player Purple has ever had.Of course Ritchie was great 50 years ago but was always a one trick pony.Simon can play anything.
Never thought I would enjoy hearing anyone other than Ritchie play Deep Purple songs. Then I heard Simon. Wow. Just wow.
Simon is a super guitarist. I absolutely agree with you. he brought that flair. which was under the great Blackmore.
Great performance. Deep Purple is still alive.
Congratulations boys !
Awesome Deep Purple. My most favorite band ever .
Awesome to hear my fave band still rocking strong. Great tune, Simon has the touch to bridge the classic purple legacy and keep it current. Keys were great, the rhythm section the best as always and Gillian still knocking it out of the park.. which I was on that cruise
Forever Deep Purple
👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋❤❤❤❤❤
Brilliant!
I am Glad DP still exists. Back in 72-3 they blew my mind. The new guys are great. Thanks.
Yes, you get it. This is Deep Purple, some people don't want to accept that Ritchie himself isn't everything, and the other 3 guys count 😆
Yeah! Now, where is Uriah Heep? & Steppenwolf??
@@bradrock7731 steppenwolf's done, UH is still going
Man, Simon is just totally owning this gig... Fantastic to see.
So cool to have a band this old - kept alive by the addition of simon and Don ... still a purple fan!
I NEVER get tired listening to DEEP PURPLE....every track is a masterpiece 💋💋❤❤
That's right!
@@65tottenham yeah.....❗❗❗
Outstanding deep still rocks especially with Simon mcbride👍🎸
My first true and last love DEEP PURPLE lots of love to all the guys ever since I heard made in Japan and first saw them at knebworth on the perfect strangers tour...RESPECT
Thanks for sharing, Mr. David Huras…that was nice of you. I forgot Ian played harmonica on this song…that was nice to see and hear.
Simon’s sound is Awsome he’s great 🎼🇬🇧
To put up with technical issues such as broken cable and still play perfectly is a MASSIVE challenge, what a talent ✊😊🔥
Well band has a massive reputation for improvising live. So a technical issue like that would hardly ruffle a feather for them.
Massive?
I dont think that was a cable issue more like interference from the various radio signals at sea [since it is a cordless connector]
@@ianinvancouverbc cordless failed...went to corded
Thus are the pitfals of playing live . This is proof that they are actualy playing live ...Well done
what a greatful guitareplayer - WOW !!!
Was There! On the edge of the stage in front of Roger. 3rd of 3 shows. All were great. Roger even gave me a pick. Great cruise, great time, and met some great people. Going in 2025.
Born Again is my favorite Black Sabbath album
Great guitarist!
Very Cool. I like the guitarist
I was standing near you for this video, Thanks.
Simon has been killing it in DP.
Great guitar playing and tone!!
Simon rules, what a tone!!!
I haven't seen Simon play that much but by god he's come along way his confidence has sky-rocketed he's relaxed and getting better and better he's not Morse, or Blackmore and neither he should be he's who he is but he's rockin that stage 🎸.....his giving that band a new life....
Wow, guitar player kicked ass! Keys were great as well. Deep Purple!!!
Amazing to see these guys still out there and making an old classic tune still sound fresh.
I miss the good old day with real music . This one is a favorite .
Hot action 🖤🔥🖤🔥🖤🔥
Nice job keeping the camera steady n the recording is great just like the guy next to me at Brent Mylands memorial concert.the fans videos are the best
love the harmonica from maestro vocalist mr gillen
Man I saw these guys back in the fall of 72 , somewhere down in Memphis , and we was way up there in the nose bleed seats , of this big dome , it was so smoky , and we were high and drunk , so it wasn’t too bad , it was my first of hundreds of over the decades , I saw them , or the most of them , under the name , white snake , in 75 ? , then it was at a small venue , and I was right up front , of the one guitar , I can’t remember his name , but I was right in front of him , a concert at the Johnstown war memorial , was always a great show ! I saw everybody , all the big head liners of the day , and a lot of them were in Johnstown !
Went on my first cruise in 2011 on Liberty of the Seas. Great ship.
It's great to see them all smiling and being their best Deep Purple.
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have huge respect and admiration for Steve Morse. Yet, this guy captures the spirit of the earlier songs for sure. Nice Ritchie attitude with his own character. Don also plays with a lot of "Lord flavor"
Yes, it's absolutely refreshing to be treated back to some more of Ritchie attitude.
And Don is simply the best in the world. It always used to be Lord, Wakeman and Emerson were the big three of RnR keyboards, wasn't it? But Airey is as good as all three put together!
amazing guitarist, silky smooth picking.
Love it, great Guitar work!
Simon is the perfect guy for this gig. He has Blackmore and Morse in his DNA as a player and it fits better in the group right now than either one by themselves would. It's also awesome to see a PRS being played in this band!
I agree,,,..this dude fits,,,perfectly,,,.like the record,....what they need now....and the fact that he's playing a P.R.S..is epic,,,and will be showcased for all to hear...A-PLUS
Damn I thought I was the only one noticing the PRS difference. Lol. I'm curious to hear writing and recording with him.
I totally agree with everything... except about the PRS... 🤣🤣🤣
It's like having part of Ritchie back in the band without all the arguments and ruined gigs!
No Blackmore...No Deep Purple. You must have jumped on the Purple bandwagon just recently hence your comment.
Sensacional , um privilégio para quem estava lá....
😲 Oh, my... february 2023, and they just keep going. Holy cow.
Supreme Guitarist !
No
Made my day ! Old love , never forgotten
McFly has been joined DP successfully!
Great video-thanks for sharing. Well filmed!
Deep Purple is back and better than ever. Simon is the perfect guitarist for them.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Definitely the right man for the job
Longlive DP from Indonesia 🇮🇩
Lazy ♥️🌹 It's Anthology ♥️🌹
Very nice…the new guitar player sounds very 21st Century Ritchie…..grrreat!!
Excellent…
'Machine Head' 💯
Beyond Perfect 🥰 including Guitarist 🎸
Who is that ?
@@alainrosso568 Simon McBride.
SUPERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Damn fine stuff.
No one can replace the legends Richie Blackmore Guitar and Jon Lord Keyboard combo. Simon did his best but stuffed up in a few places but still love Deep Purple.
Fab song, and clip. I feel a wee bit seasick now though!
Truly great guitar sound.
Great guitarist. Love his playing and interpretation of the music.
MY favorite song by DP.
Thanks for the recording. Very good
First heard the song on the Quadrophonic album version of Machine Head in 1972. 50 years later this song still sounds good albeit for a cell phone recording.
Saw DP play Melbourne in 1984. Ian dropp ed axstick and chased it with his hand over the toms. He did not lose time as this occured. A memorable night on the Welcome Strangers tour downunder.
Cheers and thanks for the upload.
🥁
I especially love Ian's intro in "FIREBALL". I must hear it right now, just to refresh..😂
@@rajivduggal9958 Have you listened to the tracks on The Book Of Taliesyn ?
Some of the band's best work imho...
Ah, I last saw them during the Perfect strangers tour in 1985 in Stockholm. Great gig.
Me too. Perfect Strangers Tour at The Worcester Centrum Worcester Massachusetts U.S.A. 1985. And God they were LOUD!
Closest I got was seeing Ian with Sabbath on the Born Again Tour. With Stonehenge. :). Perfect Stranger----killer tunes.
Same, in Chicago. Amazing show!
Wonderful playing by Simon here. A totally different approach than Steve and more reminiscent of Ritchie. Keeping the band relevant and exciting which is a joy!!!!!
I do miss Steve though. Brilliant player!
У Стива даже звук гитары был не пепловский.
Split the difference between Ritchie & Gary Moore and you get Simon!
THIS IS THE REAL TONES OF DP !!!!! THIS GUITARIST BRING DP TO THE REAL DP AGAIN !!!!! (And i think he is a big fans of Ritchie too) ..
Deep Purple,You Boys With the new boy,s are The key to keeping it real....ROCK ON boys....
This is the best music video in years. Good job man ! Cheers!!!
First band I saw live!
LOVE IT!!!!!!!
Years go by and they get better and better.
no they don't....
they peaked between 1970 and 1975....
comment is an insult to JON LORD and
RITCHIE BLACKMORE....
Totally awesome... Great guitarist!
So awesome to relive, I was there RLCX!!! Mahalo for posting!!!
Ian Gillan , Roger Glover , Ian Paice. My oh my. Still Rockin' and sounding great!
"An amateur recording", hell I love it, thank you, my favorite DP song for just over 50 years.
Good single camera audience level coverage. Thanks for posting.
Nice. Good job filming!
Greatest...
Respect to Simon, didn’t let the technical glitch faze him and what a guitar player
wow
Simon is a genius!
Great perfomans!
❤❤❤❤❤
Saw DP last October and Simon fitted in very well and smashed Smoke at the end of the evening.
The Church of Purple is now in house...SIT DOWN
Brilliant 🤩 Thanks for sharing 👏
