Hi Julie! Really enjoyed this vlog, thank you for sharing! I'm 65 years old, like you mentioned, I'm also an avid reader & always have been! I enjoy detective stories & cozy mysteries the best, but I'm open to other subjects as well. My husband & myself are also watching House of Dragons, we enjoyed Game of Thrones, so we are enjoying this one as well. I enjoy watching a few of you lovely ladies on UA-cam, you truly have become my friends...even though I'm in America! Baking is something else I enjoy, I love making some of my mom's tried & true recipes, especially at the holidays. I love shopping at thrift shops & going for walks, just appreciating the beauty of nature around us. Have a wonderful rest of your day, Julie 💕

I love gardening, reading, watching UA-cam, baking and I taught myself to crochet from watching UA-cam a couple of years back and I love it, always have something on the go usually a baby blanket or cardigan 😊 xx

I really enjoyed this video! It's so nice to hear how you spend your spare time outside of UA-cam with such a great mix of hobbies. Your passion for books, crafts, and gardening truly shines through. It's never too late to discover new interests and embrace creativity is it. I mostly penpal which I've been doing for years and like to collect nice stationery to write on as well as print my own (I'm a huge stationery addict 🤣) and watching UA-cam and also making my own wax melts which is a new hobby I only started doing since February but I'm really enjoying it and seeing the results. I loved hearing about your hobbies Julie. ❤ It's very hard to find time to do things for ourselves isn't it? I work full time running a business so down time is important. I love reading and doing my step videos, plus hubby and I are always doing stuff in the house and garden. We are currently part way through a massive project, laying cobbles and creating oval patio areas. It's a big learning curve and hard work, but it's really starting to look great now. I think it's very satisfying to see something taking shape that you've worked hard on. Take care Julie. Xx

Oh my word, we do so many things the same, so far the only thing I don’t do is colouring and I absolutely love true crime. 😊😊😊
Isn’t the true crime thing strange , I love it and yet I’m such a scaredy cat 🙀
Hi Julie, I never did any gardening my husband always did it, I basically just sat in it. Three years ago we downsized into a tiny bungalow and totally raised the garden and put in raised beds and a small lawn, they are mine and I love them. At the moment everything seems to be pink 🤣 but it is my favourite colour. 😊😊😊

I enjoy gardening too but I think I am a fair weather gardener I struggle when it’s cold outside ..We do have a dog and so l do a lot of walking which I really enjoy doing too..
I would love to crochet when Winter comes I think it is a lovely hobby but I haven’t tried it yet so thank you for your suggestions Julie

Julie, we’re the same, I’ve only recently discovered plants 😂 like you, I’d always admire other people’s gardens but never really bothered with my own. Also, like you, I can’t get down due to osteoarthritis in my knees and fibromyalgia so I’m having to use pots but we do have plans for raised beds maybe for next year xx

How lovely that you listen to an audio book and do jigsaw together. My partner is dyslexic he’s never known the enjoyment of reading books. I also do adult colouring and encourage my little grandson to do this when he comes round, although he prefers to draw dinosaurs at least he’s quiet then! Hope you’re finding the anti inflammatory book interesting xx

Hi Julie, that was a nice relaxing watch. Thank you for sharing your life. Like you I subscribe to Audible and mainly listen in the car as I go between Lincolnshire and Cheshire most weeks. My favourite author is Ellie Griffiths and the Dr Ruth Galloway series of 15 books. She also has written other detective/mystery type series. I am relative,y new to UA-cam but like you often watch instead of the TV. Viewing TV programmes has changed as you mentioned. I am a fair weather gardener also, and have difficulty getting up and down, so have a cushioned kneeler with arms or supports. It is so useful and I am able to plant at ground level with it. It also comes in useful in the house if I need to kneel, and not sure how I am going to get up again! Thanks for the video. Carry on your lovely life.
