Loved this. Hello Dale. I love the Fairy Garden!! I agree Chad is a great person. Down to earth.
Hello, glad to meet ya. Yes, Chad is a cool dude and I’m so happy to call him my friend.
I only ever ate okra fried because I couldn't stand the slime of stewed okra. When I started growing my own okra, I found a super simple recipe for oven roasted okra. Roasted okra is now my favorite way to eat okra. No slime, and extremely simple to make.
Fried Okra, yeah man!!
It so NICE when you get to meet like minded gardeners and share. And to become good buddies.
Thank You 🤗💚🌿💚🌿💚
I’m so going to be famous now!!! lol. I can’t wait to get home and check out the video buddy. It was my pleasure to meet y’all and I can’t wait to do it again. 👍🏻
That was a great time, first of many💯👍🤘
Chad reminds me of some of my cousins, just a down to earth good man !! Enjoyed your video as always !!
Thank you, I appreciate that💯🤗👍
Collect your coriander (cilantro seed) and then sow them out in late September/early October. I had the most stunningly gorgeous cilantro plants growing all winter long. I always knew cilantro preferred cooler weather, but I learned last year (experimenting) that cilantro can withstand extreme hard freeze conditions (subjective to south Texas hard freezes) without protection. They are good down to about 18-20 degrees and even colder with protection.
Garden is great everybody has some failures but it looks really good ,in your Garden 🌱Awesome.., My backyard is kind of like in section but I have no grass in the whole back of it is asphalt ,back in the day. My mother decided to stop cutting grass and put asphalt all in the back .so we only know the house is next to the Business property that we have so that’s why you see a red like a warehouse type thing next to my house in my back ,but I do nothing nothing but a container planning. I have done with some raised beds, but they have to be pretty deep, so the soil can help because I have no soil There’s nothing underneath .Raised bed. All of them are deep that’s why I have big containers pretty big enough to grow onions and grow carrots..and …🌱🌱💚 Houston 🇺🇸

Good thing he's from Louisiana or he'd have passed out in this heat!😂
🤣🤣
Thank you. And you are 100% correct about the heat. 🥵
Enjoyed the video. It’s wonderful you guys got to meet face to face.
Ok that’s great! Potato in the fairy garden! I think if I had left potatoes I missed from last yr maybe they would’ve grown, but I moved them and they did not grow. Oh well! Great video! Cool meeting an online friend in person!
It’s really fun meeting someone you interact with on social media.
When I was younger, I was really good and having a flower garden I mean, I have flowers all over the place in my front yard my backyard I had. I made a section of flowers when I was younger and it was beautiful. You know cut flowers to put in a bouquet and all that and then as I got older and you know you get busy with life and kids so I started planning again pretty much when the pandemic hit so I’m already on my. I’m thinking third or fourth season but my first year I was such a failure and vegetables. I was such a failure. Nothing was growing. I couldn’t get anything nothing and I almost wanted to throw in the towel, but I said no I’m gonna keep trying and I’ve learned so much so right about the container. You have to amend a little bit more liquid fertilizers great and you have to know what the plant looks like and it looks like I’ve learned all that I think I’ve gotten pretty good, plenty a lot of melons the canary Mallard or melon it’s pretty good. I’ve done a few sugar melons all kinds of melons all kinds of squash, except zucchini and a lot of other squash of course that bug gets to it. I actually had to pull it out. I will pop something else in its place and that’s another thing I do a lot of companion planning just like you I like the garden to look lush and full💚🌱🌱
I think you hit the nail on the head... gardening can be difficult, it can be very frustrating! But not giving up, keeping at it is what it's all about. 💯 Thank you for sharing that lesson with us all. 🤗
You might need sum shade cloth .. Sum of my beds are up under a tree
Do the vine borers get those zucchini
Looking good! My Kajari melons are doing amazing this year! Knock on wood, I think they’re pretty vine borers resistant. I have one getting ready to harvest. I have more tomatoes, cucumbers, and eggplant than I know what to do with in my arched trellis bed. It shades everything in it and has really helped dramatically!
My upside down tomato isn’t doing that good either
It still alive but… vine borers got my squash & zucchini plants the last 3 years … squash is my favorite veggie … I’m gonna cover mine with a mesh screen and pollinate them myself …. I’m Mad that I can’t get any squash or zucchini
I thought you were going to say your biggest fail was the single seed challenge fail. Too soon? 😅
🤣🤣🤣 Yeah, that was epic... but, on a bigger picture, it's for sure the squash💯💯💯
Where is Dale from , is he a Texan too?
Louisiana
Natchitoches, Louisiana. Home of meat pies, a huge Christmas festival and Steel Magnolias (among many other small town set movies).
This is so awesome!!! Great video men! @oskg2023 I bet that was a heck of a trip!
We live about 3.5-4 hours from each other, so it wasn’t a bad drive. It was a great lil road trip and something I hope to do again. And they are welcome to come visit us in our small, little historical town anytime.
