Nah, most likely an American dentist who did work on both the victim and sister, as they were most likely in the states on US spousal visas at the time. Since the fall of USSR to circa. 2010, oral hygiene maintenance was terrible in most former USSR states, including Russia, and lapsed as a public health priority. I recall doing such work on a lot of clients originally from former USSR states who came here for dental work after immigration. And also, US (and Canadian as I was one) medical professions are required by law to keep and maintain records (min. 7 or 8 years worth on each patient/works/surgeries) and promptly hand them over (through proper legal channels/warrants) to law enforcement for investigative/identification purposes. The only thing openly shared between those countries are scientific studies and medical advances, but for individual patient records through international channels,... ugh... be ready for 6-18 month wait as your request for dental/medical records can be an overtly burdensome bureaucratic nightmare, and after your request, may or may not be granted, or no such records are found. Rather than just wait, just start from scratch in North America and do your own examinations rather than wait for dental record transfers from haphazardly maintained records over there if you're looking for anything post-1991 USSR.
When the Berlin wall fell, a dentist could tell if a certain German was from the former eastern block by simply checking their teeth. Any dental from the USSR was sloppy as heck

5:42 You mean he got dental records from Russia? This guy is good.
I like that old haircut mariska had
She almost got fired for it...

Oooh, this episode was good but tragic af.
This was so sad, I felt for the family.
Considering it was a mail order bride service that he spent 2 weeks in the country meeting 8 ladies a day until he picked one…yeah I’d say possible he didn’t know her very well.
Bros really be pulling an Ini Miney lmaoo
Nice video
Charon is a coroner before alligning with The High Table and Winston.
This man looks like a twin of Dan Scavino, former #45's Deputy Chief of Staff! As soon as I saw Scavino (never really paid any attention to him before, he made me think of this episode. Good episode!
Lol this happened on the OG Law & Order, as well.
The husband is the jaguar executive in mad Men who demands to sleep with Joan to get the business
I never hear that pronunciation of Ava. Such a great name.
This episode was one of the great ones
Hi do you know what episode us this
look up marie hilley, this is the true story this is based on . . . even more bizarre than the fiction
That’s the craziest story I’ve ever heard. Wow.
@@LadyBelladonnaStorm yeah, poisoning her kids, blowing all the money, killing her husband, nicking off, dying then coming back as her own twin sister . . .
The thing is, twins who have been inseparable and essentially know each other by heart, can actually pass off as each other easily. I know a pair, named Isaiah and Gabriel, and they did this all the time. One twin went to seminary, the other became an engineer. Personality-wise, could not be alike at all. Yet, they manage to switch places and, heck, unless you put them side-by-side and take a very very close look, you can't tell. Even their cousin whom they're close with like a brother, sometimes mistook one for the other. There was even one incident that Gabby's SO kissed Isaiah because he got them mixed up. 😅😅We still laugh about that.
Boy, I hope that they found her.
Nice, Lance Reddick! The gamers here know him better as Sylens from the Horizon games.
Destiny Zavala being a medical examiner
She is the killer the twin sister?what season and episode of this
Commander Zavala, is that you?
I have an identical twin sister...nobody I've ever been in a relationship with would EVER confuse the two of us...this is just silly.
As someone married to a twin I would know automatically they move different
Great episode
The wrath of the year gone
Could this one possibly be based on a true story?!
I believe it said so in the episode, yes. Don’t quote me on that though. I could be wrong.
@@DeathofSnoopy most of the cases on the shows are based on real life ones so prob
@@john4ever01 Not most. Almost all of them have a thing at the end or beginning that says the story was “completely fictional and doesn’t depict any person or actual event.”
Only a select few say that they’re based on a true event as opposed to the above message. And even then, it says “partially based.”
@@DeathofSnoopy There are tons of episodes that have the disclaimer and yet are very similar to real life cases. They just change enough that they can say that
I will always make sure my twin sister is safe! She is the other half of my heart. I am a orgin donor. It would never be my lungs I could give away.
Are you a broken record?
Why make the same comment multiple times clout chaser 🙄

I hate to be that guy but...neither Ava nor Irina are Romanian names. Neither, for that matter, is Parulis. Parulis is an ethnically slavic name that is almost completely confined to usage in Lithuania. Also, the idea that this is a Romanian accent is like getting a cartoon skunk to speak for the french.
The only accent they get right on this show is Bay Ridge Italian
Apparently this was Cedric Daniels first job before working with Pol-licee.
Sounds like one of the court cases in Phoenix wright - the one with Iny Mini
