Engineers were down yesterday afternoon. That part is all done and dusted. I'm now waiting on an engine part coming, once I receive that, we shouldn't be too far away from going to sea....at last!🙏💪😉👍

See the nylon you are using for whipping the flags on Barry. If you run boiling water over the whippings then run under cold water the nylon will shrink and come tighter on the Dan pole.

I usually do both, 1 x nylon and 1 x 1.2 mm braided. That way, it's not coming out when it's having to put up with the REAL elements. 😁👌

Hi Barry great blogs regards one man fishing which i know from past experience 30yrs on the water potting and gill nets etc Years ago around 1960 s there was a coble fishing out of the tyne called barry b owned by a man called Jackie Brunton and then sold to Chester Wood same job inshore fishing Any relation curious thanks Win Brown

I certainly know the Coble you're on about. I've seen a few photos of her.
I do believe she was in Dunbar ( long before my time!)
There were 2 sets of Bruntons fishing from Dunbar at that time, and unfortunately, I don't think I'm related.
But, do not quote me on that.
My family tree is a complicated one, and I'm basically related to everyone in Dunbar, in some shape or form.
But to my knowledge, it's nothing to do with us.🤷♂️🙈😂😂😂😁👌

Anyway, LH138 used to be my old boats numbers the, " Rockhopper of percuel" it was an old prawn trawler I sold, to start making this journey. ( I'll be changing these numbers on the flags to the Lynsey B's numbers)
Also, I usually antifoul the flags as well to stop marine growth over the season, and that usually works a treat.😁👌
I hope I'm correct at explaining the points you require .🤣🤣🤣
Next vlog, I'll try not to speak as thick a Scottish accent...either that, I'll put up subtitles 🤣🤣🤣😉👍

@@onemanandhisboat , Thanks for explaining the numbers. Here in Maryland our commercial numbers move with us from boat to boat should we change boats. They are assigned to a person not the vessel.

I think it's more of a fire resistant fiberglass type cloth.
But it certainly does the job, that's for sure.

Hi baz,if ya paint the cladding with 2 or 3 coats of cheap emulsion and when it hardens a coat of gloss stops the edges fraying,keeps the heat in and stops oil,fuel and water soaking in,the colour you use is obviously a personal choice,😀
could you do a video of you making the creels
A whole step by step series will be coming on the subject bud.
Unfortunately, that will not be getting started until after the summer season.
