Going down the Minotaur line after watching Cruisers of Blitz. I’m at the Fiji currently, and thoroughly enjoying the play style, though it does hurt when a bb chunks half my hp when I make a mistake. Thanks BobLyn, your videos were very helpful in learning to play these ships.
You could make the argument that Elbing is the best tech tree cruiser because it doesn’t have a citadel. It has insane AP, long range torps and good detection for a “cruiser”
Tbh I kinda regret not swapping the Elbing for the venezia just for the memes. But in all seriousness, Elbing is one of the best cruiser out there HAHA

Zao. Weak survivability yet shima torps. Good fire starting. Decent at least. If it had a smoke it would be top 3. I’ll add the torp angle isn’t horrible in Zaó… Ibuki I understand horrible. Idk maybe I’m attached to the ship. Mino will be unlocked soon. I’ll come back with my preference then.
I’m absolutely disgusted not to see Elbing on here 🤣 in all seriousness, Elbing doesn’t belong here due to its lack of DD damage. This is a well put together list, I personally hated Neptune so I’ve never even tried the Mino because it never does well against me anyways
I think you would be monster in Mino from what I have heard about you. I skipped neptune, I felt the same way you did. And yes Elbing should honestly have made the list
@@BobLyn I appreciate that, I’ll probably never get it though as Elbing has more gun penetration and I’m more of a gun person then a torpedo person but I have no doubt it’s a fantastic ship when played correctly, some of the guys on our server wreak havoc with Mino.
I would switch the Worcester and the Minotaur only because DD’s have zero chance against a Worcester and the utility of that ship is off the charts. If your playing in a team situation where theirs a cv and you have 2 good Worcester players the cv is useless. With historical camo the gold equipment and artily maintenance expert you can get 12% better dispersion which really helps the guns out. The shell arch are definitely pretty insane but that actually helps when sitting behind an island and shooting over it without being spotted. If you play the ship enough you start to know which island you can use where you’re blind firing and the enemy team can’t see you at all.
All very true and that's also why Worcester got second place. But for me the worcester has a hard time in very snipey team comps. You might have utility but you have to expose a lot of your ship. The mino has to do that too, but mino has a smoke and better surface detection. My personal preference is the worcester, but I think mino is more powerful generally.
Wooster only deals well with DDs within medium to close range. further out, its shells are far too floaty and simply make a dds life easy as they simply dodge
@@Oshawott5 yea and from far away DD’s can’t hit shit with your torps and the can’t get in close enough to use their torps without getting roasted. Worcester aren’t for killings DD’s there use beat for spotting them using sonar to spot incoming torps and burning down bb’s.
@@marcuslarwa9098 well then you can say the same for Minotaur, yet Minotaur has even more tools to deal with other ships than Wooster. My point was simply that people often talk about how good Wooster is ar dealing with DDs, when it is effectively just a strong deterrent at range, and only a relatively good DD killer when the range is very close.
@@BobLyn yea but you said it yourself the smoke doesn’t do much, especially vs good players. You can’t sit inside it and shot especially vs good players. Mino is great for killing DD’s and light CL but not hoot vs bb’s. With the new meta DD’s are in a ruff spot so I much rather be in a ship that can take out bb’s.

I generally agree but depending on server, DM changes positions in or out of the list. It definitely needs some QoL updates.
