Japan grind was shit because of the turret bug but now i don't think amagi and izumo would be much of a problem since you can angle a bit instead of fully showing your sides to fire all guns
Yes, we effectively had the Nagato, which was great, then Amagi, which was a T8 Nagato with poor armour, and Izumo, which was a T9 Nagato with poor armour and only 6 guns effectively. I'll be re-testing Izumo, now that the bug has been fixed, and I'll probably look at Amagi again as well.
As a BB main, I mainly agree with what is stated in this breakdown. Only that UK traditional BBs are long biased to be HE spammers. They hit pretty hard (well, not that on par with other BB lines tho, especially USN and USSR) with AP especially at the range of 9-12km. They are surprisingly accurate if equipped with reduced dispersion in the first slot (I consistently score 5-7 hits per salvo from 10+km on flanking BBs and sometimes CLs). My Monarch is the best vessel in my treasury so far, it hits the hell out of enemy BBs and CLs. I can easily get 2 cits per game, quite unconventional tho.
UK BB AP is often underappreciated, especially after the recent buffs. KGV and Monarch can hurt quite a bit now, still, due to lower AP alpha, maybe not quite as much, but it's still enough to get through deck plating. I personally don't like the T9 & 10 much, Conqueror's AP doesn't feel quite as punchy per tier as the lower ones, and while she can dish out some damage still, the lack of manoeuvrability makes it a chore.
Yeah, I've sort of glossed over a lot of lower tier particularities. Most ship skills don't show up until 5, and some lines change quite drastically around 7.
Fantastic breakdown of the ship lines. The British light cruiser line remains my favorite with the Neptune my favorite overall ship. The only thing I disagree with is on the British Battleship line, the Monarch at teir 8 is a very good ship. No need to go higher than that though.
Only that the pain of Lion leads to the glory of Conqueror. But yes, finally someone shout out for Monarch. I have to admit that she has a completely opposite reputation in Blitz over the PC version.
I've had to gloss over quite some details when it comes to individual ships, otherwise this would have been a 90m video :) Completely agree with you, KGV and Monarch are fun, after that, it becomes distinctly average. Especially KGV's guns, after the recent AP buff, are monstrous close up.
Completely agree with all comments except for the Kremlin. Your comments about the line are true until you reach the Kremlin actually. This ship is close to the Yamato in terms of play style, a bit less precise but definitely more tanky and got decent secondaries, especially with the legendary commander. I have the republic, the Yamato and the Kremlin is my best one in terms of win rate.
Tell me your experiences and opinions about the ships if you want to share them and I'm a new player and I'm a gamer who enjoys video games only when I know something about it. I just have downloaded it and I don't know what to grind. For now I will watch UA-cam videos to gather information
@@ashab4444 well, my experiences range from really fun ships, like NC, Yamato, Napoli, to ships that suck like Hawkins (by the way, never, EVER go up the British heavy cruisers) Honestly, for new players, I recommend going up the American battleship line (to Montana) German cruisers, American DD,s, I find they are the easier ships to grasp, and they taught me a lot of things through out my experience in wows Blitz
Great vid Terry buuuuuuut . New US BB line coming , likely Ijn cruisers , etc . Release rate has juuuuumped in pace . Amazing guide that covers the basics . I would add.... Italian BB is a grind for skilled players . They are amazing played right but among the wooooooorst grinds . If you hate destroyers , choose British BB , keep HE loaded and absolutely ruin destroyers all day with low effort. Gotten several 1 salvo kills with Monarch . QE is op vs dd at ger tier 😂 If Terry's advice was complex it comes down to ships work best at certain ranges , example IJN are long range ships usually , German are close range . Usa is average everything but amazing AA . New UK and German BC lines are fantastic. Thanks for vid Terry, very gooooood description of ship lines .
Thanks! I've got to keep it brief, since I'm covering a lot, otherwise the video would end up 2h long 😁 I still maintain that the Italian BBs have superseded the British. We don't get the same SAP penetration mechanics against DDs as on PC, where they very quickly realised that it's broken - it's still pretty much broken here, you can one-shot a careless DD halfway across the map. In a close quarters scenario, the Brits may have the advantage from the higher firing rate, but Italian SAP savages lightly armoured targets.
At least in game, the line with torps is the UK battlecruiser one - unfortunately, the game classifies both as "battleships", so for clarification, the Conqueror line doesn't have torpedoes, but the St. Vincent line does.
@@FunandGameswithTerry Since the battlecruiser line is out, are you gonna do a video on the Duncan? It is similar to St. Vincent, both placements and guns. Also are the single torps. even good? They are single.
@@FunandGameswithTerry Also I think I made a mistake on the time, so now it’s corrected now to the RN battlecruiser. I know the BATTLESHIPS don’t have torps.
Great vid and it explains what each line if good for. As a Dutchy, I of course went for the Dutch line to start with. I still like it, with the Haarlem as highest tiered ship in the harbour, but I'm working my way up now on the other lines. I need to find weak spots. (which I usually do by getting blown out of the water ;) ) I was wondering, with the missions, could you do a vid about which ships would be perfect for task like torp damage, flood damage, fire damage,... How to tick those tasks off (especially when just starting) BTW I like the IJN and German CVs for getting rid of the torp/dive bomber hit tasks.
I started by paying Wargaming 99,99EUR for Thunderer. (i am an experienced PC world of warships player, so i know what i'm doing most of the time tho :))
In your opinion what’s ships do you think is worth grinding for. Currently I’m grinding for all US ships and the battleships from Germany and destroy from Japan’s and battleship. Is there another line I should grind for? I enjoy playing battleships and cruisers.
I play mostly solo (since I don't team up on Press for fairness reasons), but couldn't you just ... remove them from your friends list if they turn out to be jerks? You don't owe anyone anything :)
There used to be a Facebook login, but it was removed after Facebook made changes that broke it. I'd recommend creating an account at wargaming.net, you can then use that to log in or link it to other authentications, I think just Google at this time
I’m new and can anyone tell me which line to choose ,I’m kinda stuck between torpedos and battleships..as a battleship I stay at the point and guard it if anyone comes near I sink them immediately and if no one does I snipe them,on my torpedos I’m charging into battle and trying my best to destroy many ships, I don’t kill any but I get many on low hp, I’m on American
Nagato, and Yamato makes this grind worth the effort
With the turret bug is gone, amagi is good now
I truly hate the Amagi grind.... Us Fattleship line has been a BREEEEZE compared to Amagi 😂😂😂 FDG isn't soo bad anymore
This is a very useful video that should be a reference piece for anyone looking for new lines to grind. Great work!

In the Deutsch battlecruiser line, the gimmick of secondaries shooting both ap and he.
I love that.
Schlieffen is a menace.
As Mountbatten would say, it was a spanish galleon worth of secondaries.

Let's see the British and French Heavy Cruises in a head to head showdown over who is the worst!
I may need alcohol for that one...
LOL - The French are hands down better than the British heavies. HOWEVER, neither are recommended for newbies
😂😂😂@@FunandGameswithTerry
Very helpful video Terry! A word for the Dutch cruisers, they don't get airstrikes until T6. Maybe it was just me but felt like a slog to get there.

The Minotaur is one of the very best ships in the game. I not great with CLs but this ship fun to play and dishes out massive damage
Absolutely. The firepower is exceptional, the utility is decent, and she's got smoke screens and manoeuvrability to compensate for the squishy hull
