Sadly Richard Macphail - Genesis's irreplaceable tour manager , roadie and very good friend - died suddenly in August this year (2024).
I put together this video as a kind of In Memoriam piece.
These are edited outtakes from our 2014 filming session with Richard.
He tells the story of the band's first trip to America in 1972. And then discusses the reasons why Peter Gabriel left the band after "the Lamb Lies Down On Broadway".
