I’m in Ontario and wanted to get a owner ship for my 81 ATC 250r. The service Ontario has a form called a “self declaration of ownership.” This includes atvs sleds atcs mopeds and a few others. This form is for these things 1984 or before. Run the vin if it’s clean pickup the “self declaration of ownership” form and get your title for your 1984 or before vehicle
If you buy a vehicle with an ownership with white out on it. You can go to a few mechanic shops where they have a sticker that covers half the ownership and just forge the signature on the new sticker. If you dont have a ownership at all and your trying to find the last owner go to service Ontario and ask for a used vehicle package and it will show you who the last owner is

But still need the old ownership to do the forging part cus thats where u are getting the info needed to fill out the letter of authorization like the drivers license number, street address, gender, postal code etc. I say a notary of the public is the way to go even if you have no bill of sale and dont have the old permit to transfer the vehicle to your name.

Go to service Ontario, tell them you are looking at buying this, provide them the vin and get a used vehicle package. Don’t tell them you already have it just in case it is stolen, always say you are looking at buying.

All you get is a name and city and province. Its doesn't give you anything else useful to find the previous owner to have that owner print it out.
