As many times as I've replaced my wipers, this time I was having a massive brain fart and of all the videos I found, yours was the only one that clearly showed what you were doing!!! Thank you!!
I agree
No tr really there no clip that you push to remove the blade
I heard that it's a good idea to put a towel down on the windshield so if the wiper falls down it won't break your windshield. It's my first time changing my windshield wipers so I'll use this video as a guide as well as the towel advice. Very much appreciate the video, it couldn't be any clearer, I'm a visual person so it really helps to see it done step by step.
Best to put a piece of cardboard to cover the windshield where you are replacing the blade. The blade slipped out of my hand due to the strong spring at the base.
Jim The Car Guy coming in clutch!! Thank you for the help.
This was my 1st time doing this and I watched a few other videos prior to finding yours and
now I feel like a pro 😄
Thanks for clear and thorough directions.
Thanks , it was easy to change them out.
I appreciate the advice about the metal piece hitting the windshield. I would've had no idea if I didn't watch this video lol.
Hey Jim thank you so much. This video was a life saver. It took all of five minutes for me to do this myself and saved me thirty bucks. Thank you for your help.
Glad it helped
This video was extremely helpful! I just changed the wipers on my daughters 1999 CRV! Thank you!
Thank you. Today’s my first time changing it and it helped me a lot !!! :)
Glad it helped!
Thanks for this, it took me a while only because the wipers on my 2006 Honda CR-V hadn't been replaced in so long, just needed some WD-40 & that did the trick!
Hey Jim, A very cool video. Thanks for sharing it. Many thumbs up my friend. I hope you have a blessed week.
1ST VIDEO THAT SHOWS HOW TO TAKE OFF WIPER AND REPLACE WITH DIRECT FIT... THANKS MAN !!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for watching
Thank you so much for helping me with installing new windshield wipers. I was so afraid to do it myself. Now , I can install the wipers myself.
Glad I could help
Thanks Jim! I was able to change my wiper blades thanks to your video!
Extremely helpful and simple explanation, you saved me man
Great video. Easy to follow along. Thanks for posting.
Excellent video. Perfect instructions. Thank you so much.
Thank you..I just changed my wiper blades for the first time after watching this video 😃😃
Thank you so much! Very informative and helped me successfully change my blades.
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate having a great video to follow. So clear and thorough. I watched some others first and all left unclear some point of the process. Good job and God bless
I agree
Thank you so much! I was really struggling and this made it so much easier. I really appreciate it!
Glad it helped!
You my sir a Wizard. Super easy instructions and explanation.
I was able to install my blades after watching your video. Thanks!
Glad I could help
Great tip about being careful not to let the blade drop on to the windshield and break the windshield. I didn't see that tip on any other video's. I put a towel along the windshield just in case the arm slipped out of my hand. That way it wouldn't make direct contact with the windshield.
Glad it helped!
Good idea with the towel, thanks!
Thank you for this. I was having issues watching other videos
Thank you Jim!!! I would have never figured it out on my own.
The only accurate video for Honda/Acura. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
I knew when i saw the tape measure come out i could trust this guy.
Hi Jim, I have a diy video req on the CRV/Accord can you show us how to replace the timing chain tensioner on the k24? It seems simple enough but i've read theres a possibility of the chain jumping a tooth.
Great video, hope it works for me. Thanks to you I will be trying to do this this week. Thank you..
Did it and wanted to thank you. I changed the windshield wiper blades with almost no problem. Had a slight problem snapping the Rain X blades to lock them in place. They just needed to be seated all the way down on the blade in order to close it securely. Thanks again for the video.
Your the best Jimmy. Thanks
Thanks for the tutorial, it is the best one.
Thanks man 👍
Thank you, great explanation :)
Hi Jim sorry I missed your live show, today the strangest thing happened to my 2007 AT outback i, I was driving at low speed towards a red light, felt like the front end of the car run over a boulder and the ABS light came on. I came to a stop at the red light. I put the car into park the ABS light turned OFF!!!!??? I did not drive over a pothole or nothing, I checked! Been driving since no problem. I am probably due for new brakes, is that it, or could it be something else? Thanks for your help. In retrospect perhaps the brakes seized for a second, is that possible?!!
Thank you so much - really helpful for a first timer!
Glad it was helpful!
Very helpful thanks
Thanks Jim! This was my great time changing them on my civic - great video!
Thank you..
Great job!
Thanks take care, blessings.🤗
On my 2017 CRV, I do not bend the blade perpendicular to the arm. I almost broke it trying that. Just tilt a little bit and depress the tab and unhook.
Thanks Jim
Thanks jim
Thank you 🙏🏻
Hi Sir. Do you think i can replace my 2015 crv 4th generation with a different brand of wiper? I really like to try the silicon blade. Do u think it will fit without a problem
Thank for the help, here in 2022

Jim The Car Guy, YOU ARE MY HERO!!! Thanks so much for this video!💖
Love the cricket!!!
Thanks for watching.
Mahalo plenty, and I placed a towel up against the windshield.........just in case.
My 09 Honda CRV has a Honda frame for all three wipers. One only has to replace the rubber insert, not the entire assembly. I don’t see that mentioned here.
Awesome. Took me 4 seconds.
2010 honda crv. The wipers are unique. The do not sit directly under the arms. Replacement arms quickly reveal that you need the OEM arms that have an offset. The OEM blades have the offset built into them. Replacement blades do not. So the blades sit cockeyed no matter what you do. All the literature from blade manufacturers claim their replacement blades will work. They do not. Buying new arms from Honda is hundreds of dollars. The rubber inserts from Honda dealer are cheap. About $20 for the set of 3. It is a little tedious to slide the old blades out and load the metal bracket into the rubber. But I've done it many times.
A nice easy job in T-shirt weather.
Thank's dad.
👍
You a real one no 🧢
Glad you enjoyed it
Will this work on '98 crv? Idk squat about cars. Are the blades different depending on the car year?
Yes it is the same. Thanks for watching
@@jimthecarguy 🙂 thanks again!
Put a folded towel on the bottom of the windshield! I have a friend who broke his windshield.
Then how to do the rear one
same blades I just happen to buy. haha
Clean and lightly lube junction . .
Is the passenger side always 1" smaller than driver side?
most of the time it is smaller. Thanks for watching.
Thanks, Dad.
Thanks for watching. I'm happy to help.
I don't have the tiny clip on my Michelin Wiper
Broke my windshield before seeing this video
Bought the same wiper blades lol
Thanks for watching.
How about on 2003 etc Accord - totally different
Oooop mine dropped down and hit the window 😓
Step 1 -Lift the W/S wiper arm and put a cushion, such as thick towel or blanket ,down to protect the windshield.
Step 2 - On the 2014 Accord with OEM blades, do NOT turn the blade perpendicular to the arm.
Just press the release clip and push the blade toward the arm pivot, kind of like he shows in the video.
(The blade should slide down easily. Mine did even tho it hadn't been changed in 8 years.)
You will probably have a good grip on the blade, but the spring-loaded arm will surprise you and crash down.
Step 3 - Breath a sigh of relief that you put a cushion down.
Step 4 - Reverse the process. Again, do NOT turn the blade perpendicular to the arm. It should be almost parallel. The hook on the arm goes over the plastic hinge piece with the clip.
Step 5- Push/pull it until the clip snaps in place. It should take very little effort.
Step 6- Remove the cushion.
Step 7- Test the wiper. Better to find out if it works or not now, rather then when it's raining on you.
Uhhh, there is a rear blade, too...
Should already be out of the package sir.

I'm tired of people talking about this little clip that doesn't exist. There's no freaking clip.
On this one they have clips. If you want to send me a picture of yours I would be happy to take a look at it?
@Jimthecarguy I got it done, it's hard to remove some of them. I had to move the wiper to the up position. Then drag the clip off. It was rusted in three of them so had to break it off. Then did 2 wipers on SUV, one on my car. The 4th one is a different style and not in the direction or videos. It's an endura rain x now have to go to the mechanic for this I e. It's really weird and different. Not even in companies' videos.
This is not how you change a 2014 Honda CR-V windshield wiper.. so don’t do this.
Very helpful thank you
Thank you
You're welcome
