    I have been working on cars for 50 years but replacing wiper blades is always puzzling! Slow the video down and show more closeup would help. Here's the trick ... when you push the wiper blade connector into the J-hook of the wiper arm , you will hear and feel a click. Dont stop now. Keep pushing the wiper blade assembly into the hook and you will feel another, much more sturdy click. If you stop after the first click, you will have loose wiper blades that will probably fall off the car within minutes of the first rain storm.

    I am installing the exact blades on my silver 2009 MDX. Coincidence the video shows the same however, please note the wiper blade guide seen 2:34 does not accommodate the rubber cover and wiper blade. The wiper blade guide is the square attachment located approximately mid arm of the car wiper arm.
    @ 2:59 the blade guide seen @ 2:34 is removed to allow installation of the blade.
    The Michelin blades demonstrated in the video are esthetically nice however, modifying the original car equipment to accommodate an aftermarket wiper blade is disappointing.
    Personally, purchasing these blades at Costco yesterday was an impulse buy because they were so inexpensive. I removed the rubber back that covers the wiper frame and still had trouble positioning the blade frame within the wiper guide. This attempt to force the blades to fit will most likely abuse asymmetrical contact.
    I put Rainx silicone advantage on my wife and daughter vehicles over a year ago. Both have RX350’s. Best wipers I’ve ever bought. Blades work just as good as the day I put them on. Wouldn’t be surprised if they will last another 12 months.

    • @JDMRightHandDrive
      @JDMRightHandDrive  3 роки тому +1

      Great response. Yes, that guide did make it so the blades not not fit without either removing the rubber cover or the blade guide. I tried each way in the blades really didn't perform very effectively to my opinion. They were mediocre at best. Just like you I also purchased some high-end Rain-X windshield wipers and installed them and they're worth the extra $8 a piece that they cost. a month later after installing new wipers we traded in the car for a brand new 2021 CX9.

    I've purchased these Michelin blades from costco for my 2013 honda accord coupe the last two years, i don't like them. They last maybe 6 months before they streak to the point of it being unsafe to use. They streaked a lil bit when new also...I live on SoCal btw so your mileage may vary.

    • @JDMRightHandDrive
      @JDMRightHandDrive  2 роки тому

      Yes, I am getting similar results with my Costco blades. I have purchased the Costco Michelin blades a couple of different times, usually when my blades are bad and I happen to walk by them. I usually only use them through one winter and then replace them with some $15 rainx blades or some nicer michelins. The $15 blade seem to last like 4 or 5 years compared to these inexpensive Costco blades.
