Nicely done documentary video. I did visit Waylon’s grave site about 10 years ago. This is the first that I heard that he gave himself to Christ in his last days. I appreciate hearing that.
Storms Never Last is one of my favorite songs. I recently saw a clip of them performing it live and it was awesome. Miranda Lambert did it once on the Grand Ole Opry too. One of the best covers I've ever heard.
I heard Waylon say to Miriam "Lisa was a pretty woman wasn't she?" The reply was "Yes, Waylon, she was." So there was a real Lisa in Waylon's life at some point. He also told me he owed his sobriety and his life to Miriam.
Shooter, you mentioned you worked for a country music station here in Phoenix. Which one did you work for. Back in 1961 to about 1962-63 (don't remember when he left) but Waylon worked as a DJ at KHAT in Phoenix, for Ray Odom.
She is one of the most beautiful women I ever seen. I wished Waylon had lived longer for her sake.
Miss you every day, dad. Wish you got to see your video get over 40K views. You’d be so proud! I know I am. RIP Scooter Pops. 🖤

Me too. So glad to hear that he gave his self to Christ and was a Christian!
The picture of her record is the one I have, and Jessi (Miriam) autographed it for me while we were still in high school.
