Great comparison! Excellent review. I have the original Delta 1300 version too and the EcoFlow gas Generator for back up and really enjoy both of them along with my other EcoFlow units. Your reviews are the closest to real every day uses in emergency situations. Thank you for doing what you do 👍

I have a Delta River 2 Delta 2s I accidently ordered 2 and they they are so incredible I just kept both Delta 2s and the river..
We are 1500 miles from home with limited power supply to our 38 ft boat in colder than comfortable conditions , so with even with the heater at 1500 watts we can recharge the D2 at 200 watts and then we can unplug it and use it for our toaster and the Induction cook top simultaneously for morning coffee and breakfast , plus we power our 85 liter 12 volt fridge in our pickup with either the pro or the the D2 .
Not cheap in Canada , $1495 for the D2 and almost $600 for the river .
We supplement recharging with a 100 watt solar panel or the truck's power system.
Cooking on the cooktop saves us a considerable amount of money because we would be cooking with propane and we already pay for electricity anyway..

They are both pretty good power stations. Definitely worth the money.
I do like them both since they do both charge fast and has a pretty big capacity.
I use my deltas to charge up power tool batteries when outside. When a storm is coming I make sure to top off all my battery power stations beforehand.
Nice Jason, definitely use solar when you can to recharge does PowerStations don’t save your much, but it does save you some

Very good review. I've had the original Delta for a couple of years now, and after purchasing an extra battery recently, I realized it only works for the Delta 2. Well, I now have a Delta 2 on the way for my battery 😅. This makes me feel I made a good choice because what I paid for the original Delta is about the same as what I'm paying for the Delta 2 and battery combined. Now, if I can get the smart generator, I should be golden 👍

A very cool comparison on two great solar generators. In my view, the Delta 2 wins in a knockout with the LFP battery chemistry, app, and 5-year warranty. EcoFlow is not sitting still.

I have made the same purchase as you and I got a 160 watt solar panel with it. In this video it is reported no solar cable comes with the Delta2, but mine had the solar cable. A few days after I unboxed the solar panel I noticed another small cardboard box in the bottom of original solar panel shipping box. I checked it and found another solar cable. So I got AC owner cord, a cigarette lighter cord, a 12 V. barrel cord and 2 solar panel cords.
I bought this all in a package deal on Black Fri. extension sale for 970$.
I am very happy with this purchase and had been studying solar generators likeJackery, Anker, Bluetti & Ecoflow for a couple of years. I do believe I got the very best product at the best price. I am looking to get the extra battery DELTA Max soon. I have made a choice I am very satisfied with. Soon to get the ECOFLOW GAS GENERATOR. I WANT AN ECOFLOW T SHIRT NOW!

@@TechMadeEzy I am building a overlanding suburban with a 12 foot trailer. I was planning to get the Delta 2 for my suburban for short trips and be able to add a Delta max expansion battery for longer trips. I am also planning on getting the wave 2 for my heating and cooling needs. The dual fuel generator for bad days with no sun. I am planning on being able to move this system from my suburban to my trailer when on longer trips. 4 years to retirement to get ready.

I have a bluetti, but looking to upgrade to ecoflow delta 2 for truck canopy camping.
The Delta 2 is a very nice system I like that it's expandable and I definitely like that that battery will last a long time

Looks like about $1399
After eight hundred cycles that Delta still has more capacity than a brand new Delta at 2. I purchased the Delta 4 $699 off HSN. I have seen the Delta 2 for is little as $799. With a hundred dollars in my pocket for two-and-a-half years of cycling at once a day (all of those cycles with more capacity) I think the Delta is so much better of adeal. Also offered at time of purchase was a 110 watt panel for 100 more dollars. (Added capacity/less cycling) I took it !!! $799 for both. My buddy bought a factory reman for 499. Beat that. !!!

You would get more run time connecting the battery via the DC port then plugging in one Delta 2 to another. The ac inverter uses more power then the DC connection of the extra battery

I'm living in the Philippines, Just purchased a new Delta OG for $530 USD the Delta 2 is $816 USD here. I love the new battery LFP battery but for the price of the OG currently I couldn't resist.

Does the EV X-stream adapter Delta for charging from an EV station work with the Delta 2? How does the ground cable work when charging a Delta 2 at an EV station.

Wonderful comparison. Two fine products. But one has to be a winner and technology evolution means Delta 2 is the winner. Delta 2 wins because of a APP that is Wi-Fi & Bluetooth, LifePo battery chemistry, additional battery expansion capability and finally Dual fuel gas generator compatibility. The Delta wins. Hands down. Still if I was to see an OG Delta in a garage sell, I would buy it in a second. Thank you for the wonderful presentation. Brooklyn is a fine co-pilot.

@@TechMadeEzy After 6 months of research I purchased a EcoFlow Delta 2 with the EcoFlow Delta expansion battery and refurbished EcoFlow 110-watt solar cells. I have a WEN 2350 pure sign wave gas generator that I paid $289.00. The entire set up is less than $2,500 tax included and I hope my tax man can write it off. I've connected the EcoFlows up to my 2009 SEARS 21 cu.ft home refrigerator and can power the home refrigerator from my EcoFlows for two days easy before I would need to connect them to my WEN gasoline generator in the garage. A two-hour event. My home computer will run on my EcoFlow River Max for days. The power grid is undependable, and people need to think ahead. Thanks for asking. Take care.

@@TechMadeEzy When I connected the new EcoFlow Delta 2 to the new EcoFlow Delta Max extra battery the APP implied I only had 2,000 watts (2kW) and the APP should have implied about 3,000 watts (3kW). I contacted EcoFlow customer service. I sent them some screen shots and over a week of emails back and forth EcoFlow informed me it was an APP software issue, and they would correct it and they did! As a thank you EcoFlow gave me a small EcoFlow light power bank gizmo. Great customer service!

I recently purchased the OG (refurbished) unit directly from EcoFlow for $425 during a sale. It’s in new condition with all accessories.
Debating if I should keep the OG unit since it’s such a great price or return and pay an additional $250 for a refurbished delta 2 also directly from EcoFlow

Simple question; in case of a power outage, AFTER disabling the main breaker, could I connect the Delta outlet to any inlet at the house, for powering some lights etc on that string (no heavy users) for a while?

@@TechMadeEzy Thx for the reply, I do a bit of electric in my house so I can imagine that a battery which delivers 220v and I deliver that (output) to an outlet in the house which has no power at that moment the outlet would get 220v from the battery and everything connected to that outlet's string like a lamp, a TV etc would run on the battery... The outlet and wires in the house would then just act as an extention cable, right?

Yes, you can simply plug one into another. Using a battery would be more efficient since it will use DC vs AC

@@TechMadeEzy So I am assuming that total wattage output will not increase. I have two "Vigorpool, Captain 1200's" that I can connect together with an optional cable. Each one provides 1200 total watts. When connected, the Total Output Wattage doubles to 2400 Watts or 2.4 KW 's. The benefit to that is that they can also be used independent of one another. To me, that's a better deal. Thanks anyway.
Wattage isn’t affected in anyway they are simply batteries, no inverters no mppt controllers nothing

I don't really know your wattage requirements, you just need to make sure you understand how much wattage your device is full and if there's any kind of surge but in general the delta 2 would be nice and it's expandable
Is Delta 2 max expandable battery compatible with Delta 2? Instead of getting the delta 2 spare battery, I may want to upgrade for wh in the near future.

With only 2X surge capacity for only a few milliseconds in such a lightweight package, these power stations obviously use a low cost, transformer-less, high frequency inverter in their design. High frequency inverters are not designed for powering inductive loads such as large power tools, air conditioning units, microwave ovens, large refrigerators, air compressors, etc. You may be able to start and run these types of loads when these units are new, but over time, after repeated use, the MOSFETs in these units will fail. A much better choice would be to invest in a power station that uses low frequency, transformer based technology in its design. Low frequency inverters can handle high surge loads for at least 3x their continuous rated capacity and they can do this repeatedly, without sustaining damages, for minutes, rather than milliseconds
Great test. Thank you! Had the delta 1 last month but I've sent it back and got the delta 2 instead because of all the great features.. But unfortunately the charging from the cigarette socket stopped working/charging and that's on every other car or van which it's quite annoying as I'm driving daily about 3-4 hours and that will be enoto top up the battery without to have to carry inside the house every evening.. Any thoughts on this? Thanks

I would contact support I also believe you can adjust the power it pulls from a cigarette lighter that might work as well and maybe be better for you. Also solar, any opportunity to put a solar panel on the vehicle somewhere?
Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with this device (Delta 2). It is broken after just 3 months of work and they don't want to provide warranty in Ukraine. It was bought in Spain and transferred to Ukraine.
Personally, i prefer units with NO wifi. I trust neither the govt OR corporate hackers.
If it can be controlled with a phone, it can be hacked or locked down/out!
If a bad actor ever hacks the app? The word "screwed" comes to mind!
