    My 2014 Cruze 2LT is quite nimble, fast off the line,and efficient, the changes with economy speed and safety, rear space, styling, comfort, even more refined than mine,all good!

    Andre looks sharp in a suit. I'm glad the TFL team is giving him the opportunity to get out there and do more of this stuff. Practice makes perfect and he's getting there. The Chevrolet rep was also very knowledgeable and informative. The Cruze premier looks great inside, the rear not so hot but can't wait to see it in person.

      I love how when new cars look fairy similar it's copying. It's no! Do you ever see how most cars from the 60's look the same the 70's look the same the 80's look the same. It is innovation. The new generation brings similar things in ever brand and every model

      They only make it in an auto with the diesel sadly:( I got to the dealership last night and was building one to order and they don't have it:/ the L base model is very nice really, and the 158 hp and 177lb/ft of torque are nice with a good 6 spd stick shift! They got lighter too! They don't make a diesel 2016 yet, but they have always had an auto with the diesel

    The 2016 Cruze stresses my wife. She just bought today a 2015 Cruze 2LT. Now I showed her the upgraded front and she loves it more. Maybe we sell the 2015 next year.....maybe not. We have the 1.4 turbo and only 2 mpg less and it has the leather everything and the sunroof and 4G + WiFi + OnStar start locator + remote start + +++. Compact cars are finally "growing up" so to speak. All the Manufacturers are putting some serious thought & investment into their smaller cars. Hope they bring the diesel version to the US. Love that awesome torque off the line & around town with a diesel powerplant in a small car.

    • @1guyin10
      @1guyin10 9 років тому

      Tim Schmidt They have said a diesel is in the works, just not at launch. With 250 lbs less to pull it should do a bit better than the current model in mpg though with the gas model hitting 40 mpg that may not be the reason you would buy it. The diesel does have some really nice torque for highway cruising though.

    BUT taking a look at what Chevy has done to the new Cruze I find it very disappointing.

    This car simply does not have good rear leg room, and the previous model also did not. Why are the seats wrinkled and puckered looking? They call that Premium? About the only thing premium will be the price and the high priced fuel it takes to keep that turbo motor happy.

    I'd really want to know more about what they're going to do about reliability issues concerning their ignition switch and previous common issues with the Cruze. Honestly this car is beautiful, and all aspects of it look like its going to look great and drive very well - but how long is that going to keep you happy until things start going bad or breaking? I had an 2009 Aveo5 for only 4 months (got wrecked) with all maintenance kept and no accidents, and it was riddled with issues that cost me over $1000 when the car was already over $7000 and had only 50,000 miles on it. Later on I was graciously given a 1997 Corolla with over 200,000 miles, had been sitting for almost a year, bad and low oil, cracked windshield, a leaking power-steering system and bad gas. It drove for 2 1/2 hours home without issue. $400 later to replace those two issues, and after an oil change, fresh gas and a new air filter this thing has been going strong and driving like a dream for months.
    I've never been a car brand loyalist, but I would love to own a Chevy and support a Domestic company. But I'm afraid of whats going to happen in the long term when I own one. What will Chevy do to help with that issue and build consumer confidence? If they can work on that, i'd probably pick one up without hesitation.

    • @Mathicuss
      @Mathicuss 9 років тому

      Pibbmasta I own one of the newer platformed with the 1.4l (not this one current gen) and have had 0 issues with it. You have to understand that the aveo was a cheap import for GM from a european devision that was really a desperate attempt for GM to become relevant in the small car space. They were rebadged and not good cars. This vehicle and basically everything from GM after 2009 is built well and for the most part in North America. General Motors makes really great cars now. As for ignition switch issues, the only major one they ever had was for the cobalt. And the fact GM has allot of recalls now is a good thing simply because they are no longer letting anything slide. Go try one out you'll be pleasantly surprised how far they have come.

    • @Pibbmasta
      @Pibbmasta 9 років тому

      matthebest018 I'm looking forward to getting a chance to test drive one of these actually - I'd like to see how it compares to the Focus also seeing as its probably its top competitor. Its just tough to decide - so many people I know tell me to avoid Chevy or GM for that matter at all costs. Its probably just past experience, but all I hear is "Go with Honda or Toyota if you want a car that will just keep going without major issue. Get a Chevy or a Ford if you like nice cars, but have a lot of money to keep them running." I do have a friend that had a 97 Chevy Trailblazer for almost 15 years and had close to 300k miles on it with no issue... and even he told me to stick with Honda or Toyota haha.

      Pibbmasta Its the complete opposite, chevy's can be fixed with a hammer lol Parts are very cheap to buy when they need to be fixed and 90% of the time they are very accessible. Imports are starting to get cheaper to fix but you will find yourself with a hefty bill if something major goes wrong.

    I don't know if it's just me, but I think this new Cruze looks a lot like the Hyundai Elantra that's been on sale for the past four years. A lot of design elements and lines inside and out are very similar to the Hyundai. Put the two side by side, and you can see what I mean. It's also interesting that the Cruze is getting rear heated seats..just like the Hyundai. No one else in the compact mainstream segment had those except for Hyundai/Kia. It seems to me that GM has run out of original ideas, and they are looking to copy off the Asian brands. GM may be able to copy design, but they sure haven't been able to copy Asian brand reliability records.

    why you guys left europe anyway? chevrolet was doing great in this market. I live in europe and have 2011 chevy cruze and am still driving it with no problems such as service or spare parts. However what if I want to trade my car with 2016 chevy cruze? where do I have to go? to the US? C'mon guys come back to europe again please I really love to own a brand new chevy cruze 2016 which is the best among it's competitors such as civic.corolla etc.

    I hate that they changed the Chevy Cruze like the old saying don't fix it if it ain't broken

    They stole the frontend from the updated 2015 Camry and the backend from the the 2014 Camry. They didn't even bother changing cars lol

    this drives me crazy on every GM cars i see... why does GM have the need to put a ugly black front lip on every car they make?...
    this new cruze just look like they kinda took best of everything in the class put it together and try to sell it... front kinda looks like a corolla, rear kinda looks like a focus and sentra, interior kinda looks like a focus...

    Nice car. Too bad Chevrolet cheats people in other countries by selling the old model leftovers as a new "2016"

    The Cruze is far from compact. It is a 3000 lb plus pig with a blown tiny four, and we don't know a manual is optional. To add insult to injury, I doubt the LTZ will be less than 30k...with no cd player
    YAY!
    Government motors tells us what a compact is, what qualified as mid sized in 1992.

    • @TheACCHRM
      @TheACCHRM 8 років тому

      Premier is the new LTZ, it DOES have a cd player, even though nobody uses that anymore. and a fully loaded vehicle with every single option is less than 30k. PS It does have a manual transmission option.

    American cars are becoming more like Japanese cars. Why? Sales is the factor. People like Japanese styles better. Toyota, Honda and Nissan are eating their market shares.

    • @QuantumCairo
      @QuantumCairo 9 років тому

      I agree with you, I think the previous model was nicer and hope I'll be able to afford it instead of this model. My only concern is does the 2016 Chevy Cruze come with Android Auto?

    • @SwishaSilva
      @SwishaSilva 9 років тому

      I'm not sure, it'll probably come with Chevy's My Link. You can already find some Cruze's that are in good condition for around 10-11k, within the next year it'll probably drop even more in price.

    • @QuantumCairo
      @QuantumCairo 9 років тому

      It'd be amazing if the Android Auto wasn't specifically for the infotainment unit in the 2016 Second Generation, like I could install it through software in the 2015 or 2016 First Generation. That'd solve my problem perfectly!
