Respect on this interviewer she asked the right questions and didn't sugarcoat anything. I appreciate that, keep asking the questions we want to know as true car enthusiasts and this channel will definitely thrive!
Forget connectivity. Can I drive it from Maine to San Diego without any problems? Is it quiet, are the seats comfortable, is the suspension up to the task, can the drivetrain handle 10 hours at 70-80 mph? That's what I'm looking for in a car, not can I update my Facebook
Actually I quite like the car. For a compact it not only looks spacious but it also looks upscale. Its great to see an American car manufacturer offer a high quality, great looking vehicle at a decent price. Thank god they didn't go in the direction of Ford with those HUGE fish mouth grilles
I really really want this so bad but my dad said it's expensive so he'd rather get the Spark which is half the price of Cruze here in the Philippines :| is it worth it?
Emme, great questions about the 4G connectivity. I was wondering if it was going to be (for lack of a better word) complimentary because you bought a GM, or a separate bill, like we pay for satellite radio. I still enjoy free radio, and my phone is connected to to my car via bluetooth, so......
I have always liked the Cruze, except for the concrete-hard seats! My son and I test drove one two years ago, and after a 10-minute drive, I was very happy to get out of the car. Perhaps the leather interior is a bit more comfy? I'll give it another look when I am car shopping again next year, especially the diesel.
Funny how everyone used to complain about my old Gm cars seats being to soft lol. Nowadays everyone complains about my cruze's hard seats, and vice versa my Trans am has seats that are two soft for them.
Bullshit statement, they got recalled for one reason. Passenger airbag issue, and not even all just a particular "batch" any brand suffers from such things, recalls. You pretend, it's unique to Chevrolet....
The Cruze is a compact car, but these have never been economy cars. The 2014 Diesel is about $25,000 brand-new and has leather seats. The last economy car GM made was the Cavalier.
I bought the diesel for my wife in 2014; it's amazing, very fast -- It goes 90 and you hardly notice it. $27,000 and worth it. Unfortunaetly, they changed the style on it; the new style is so hideous they had to shut the plant down.
Danny Contreras Just because it's in every video doesn't make it right. They need to crop their footage just a tiny tiny amount so those black bars aren't prominent and the "flickering" stops.
They manage to screw the front of the car that was pretty good. That's is going to cost quite a bit on non-american markets. The rest it's pretty much the same. Some people say with reason: If it ain't broken... don't fix it. Thats clearly the case here. I'm betting that european sales will go down with that new front.
Excuse me, but looking at a touch screen is just as distracting as looking at your phone. Here's a bright idea, configure your phone to turn-off some functions while you're driving. Hmmm
GM should ditch its inefficient and underpowered N/A Ecotec's (i.e. 1.2L, 1.4t, and 1.8L) for smaller displacement, turbocharged engines. All having VVT, SIDI, IVVL, and VTM. The Cruze should get: 1.3t I4 with 150HP and 160-175LB-FT 2.0tdi I4 with 170HP and 270-285LB-FT 7-Speed DCT Active Grille Shutters Stop-Start Fuel Economy: 1.3t FWD- 35 City and 47 Highway (41mpg Combined) 2.0tdi FWD- 32 City and 52 Highway (42mpg Combined)
Come on GM. You could've made the update's on the exterior more patent. The car is basically the same thing as the previous model year, you just added a few touches here and there.
Emmett Adams Yeah, I seen the one that debuted in China. If that is the one also coming to America, its a very good-looking car but I hope GM makes it look a little more masculine. And are you a employee of GM or something, because you have either recommended a GM vehicle, defended a comment about GM or corrected me about a GM vehicle.
Emmett Adams I have personal experiences with GM too. My mom owns some kind of Saturn(I think it is called the L series or something) which she had for over 10 years. But she constantly has problems with it so she drives it less than her other car. GM has descent cars but quality is something that GM lacks.
Emmett Adams Oh she is looking for another vehicle but she is getting the Chevy SS, which I know is a GM vehicle. Hopefully it will last her for over 3 years. But she just brought the 2014 Mazda 6 last year so she will probably buy the car later this year.
Emmett Adams Yeah she is looking at the Chevrolet SS because she wants something fast. The Mazda 6 is holding up good so far. My mom said it is very fun to drive and has good fuel economy with some kind of SkyActiv engine.
Why not ask about the future integrity and safety of this car that replaced the Cobalt? Anyone thinking about a GM product? Take a ride through their service lot and look at the scores of Cobalts, HHR's and Saturn Ion's lined up and left there for recall repairs by the current owners, then decide if you would like to purchase their product.
Tell that to the families of the 13 dead from a faulty substandard ignition switch GM did not want to acknowledge. These cars were not made that long ago. I'm sure they were impressed when test driven or they would not have bought them.
We are living in an era where these items exist: Wireless 4G routers with batteries, Smartphone tethering & Pocket Wifi, Quite sure you won't be using torrent in your car too. I just don't know what's so exciting about that. Just saying.
I hope the next generation is an all around more comfortable car. The current model has a horribly hard seat with no lower back support. I bang my head every time I enter/exit and I'm only 5'9". Very cramped with head room and rear leg room. The 1.4L turbo and 6-spd auto perform horribly together. Feels very busy and unsettled. Always shifting and the power delivery is not smooth and uniform. The Sentra I drove is not as nice of a car to look at inside, but drove a million times better, even with less power.
Diesel the way to go... sure if you buy it but be smart. Do not do like us in Europe, Put diesel engines in cars that travels. If People in NYC, San Francisco for exemple buy diesel cars, if you buy small diesel cars, you will end up like us with particules pollutions alert in town.
an honest feedback, I really don't think that having a WIFI in the car is a good idea. almost all mobile phones have a wifi hotspot function in them and can activate it in your car for others to use it. Diesel, Siri, text messages reading are awesome features !!!
Manual transmission diesel Cruze would be a smart move for GM they would sell great. They can't see it. What a mistake not to offer a manual transmission :-(
the worst mistake was even making all of these shit unibody basic bitch cars that are made specifically for elderly people the looks on all the new cars are stupid theres like 500 curves and edges i feel like all the smooth body lined cars from the 90s just look so much better and look at the front ends on all new cars they get giant on the grill everything about these new futuristic cars looks stupid the only people that modify or race cruises got stuck with them nobody in the entire world would use a cruise for anything other than piking the kids up from school then looking retarted on the way home in the time machine/ chevy cruise and i sa a commercial that said they were a sporty performance cars if the cruise is a sports car then the geo metro is a full blown race car from the factory because thats bullshit whoever designed the cruze and all the unibody shit suvs like the equinox should be fired immediately for having such stupid ideas
the blazer if it was a 2005 and had low miles thats by far the best year with no complaints and a fine vehicle ready for modifications i wish mine was a 2wd bc there made for speed and mine is a uphill battle to make it fast being a 4wd and a 2000 i have 135k miles and ive replaced all 4 tires rims 4 balljoints all brakes new cat new fuel pump new battery new serpentine belt new shock new wheel bearing yeah my 2000 has allot of problems so i would choose the cruise over a 2000 for reliability but a 2005 is a different story
the typhoon is the inspiration for my blazer i wish i could afford any of the gmc supertrucks there the shit i will 1 day have a 1st gen 2door blazer 2wd v8 on c5 corvette rims siting next to my blazer
Don't like when they change just for the sake of change cruise still looked fresh you can keep it the same . Nisan did it with the versa now I wouldn't buy one ,totally screwed it up.
Really Chevy???? No projector led or hid headlights? Led tails? Same interior and rear end. No new wheel choices it looks like either. Guess I'll go with a Mazda 3 that has way more technology.
(1:38) I mean that's great because there's so many times when like hey where you wanna eat hey where can we order a pizza hey I just ran that stop sign hey I just ran over that old lady blah blah...pinhead.
Did you even watch 'till the end of the video. They say the manual isn't present in the Diesel version at the moment, but it is available in other trim lines
That's the problem, dude. A manual diesel is the best combination. I don't care about the other trims, I only care about this car because it has a diesel.
Darkmatter28031 my manual 1.4t is pretty economical, I get 25 mpg of strictly city driving. Also I'm a 16 year old with a manual, I trash it sometimes, so 25 is still pretty good
the wifi would bother me....these people are sorry as hell but they're not stupid, so why wifi?........... most mobile internet "people" have a wifi device in their pocket so why pay for two? one dedicated to the car & the other on their smartphone, and to top it off, the one in the car can't possibly be used unless you're IN the car. the ONLY thing that makes any sense is that the wifi is installed, not for the owners use, but for the use of "who knows who". & for "who knows what" And there's the hackers. And there's the question of "what all in my car is linked to the internet?"
Why are they just BARELY getting the text read out on their 2015 models. Which by the way are horribly ugly. The old model looked better. Focus has had text read out since like 2012 probably even before on their sync models. I just don't see the point in getting a cruze when there are better cars out there. Mazda gets better mileage, focus has a more comfortable and useful interior, vw TDI has been around forever and has been refined to near perfection.
No car is perfect. Chances are the majority of you are just exaggerating or lying about your experiences. Yeah this car is a piece of junk, but it's built for poor people. What do you expect?
evilpeach2 . I don't know. She didn't really mention any changes beyond the front end and WiFi. Sounds like a midcycle refresh rather than a significant power train or dynamics update.
eh its got a little pep to it just not with the automatic mode on the transmission. use the gated shifter if you want to pull ahead quickly. they did mess with the front end which is sad though if you see the leaked 2016 model that one is worse ::shudders:: though the 2016 will have the impala style interior. (why they dont have an impala-esk front end i dont know)
*Even worse car than the 2014* I do like the 2014 front better. *Uglier front end* Perhaps you should look at a Mazda 3, or Veloster Hyundai, tell me once again how the 2014 looks horrible?! *same terrible ride and handling* Handling is just fine, turns on a dime. You probably drive the bottom line Cruze, with the "steel" wheels. Not the alloy ones, with Firestone tires. *plastic interior* Any car has plastic, Cruze(s) all of them, combines plastic and SOFT TOUCH interior, not sure now if you even got into one at all. *gutless vibration ridden engine* The 1.4L Turbo, is a fine little engine no vibrations. The 1.8l is a disaster, i agree with you on that only for the 1.8. *and spongey ride* You're totally confusing a commuter with a race styl car. To give you an idea, i have a new 2014 Cruze with Mylink full option. 1.4l Turbo, i drove the 1.8l which was horrible. My other car i own, is a 2012 Mustang, that car is like superglue to the road and makes cornering like a go cart. The difference is, that is a sport/muscle car, the Cruze is clearly intended for a smooth commuter feel car. If you, get into a cruze (and you're young i am sure of) for a sporty intend? Then indeed you get, a sad face. It's not intended to be that.
Respect on this interviewer she asked the right questions and didn't sugarcoat anything. I appreciate that, keep asking the questions we want to know as true car enthusiasts and this channel will definitely thrive!
This car is certain to be number one in it's class, for manufacturer recalls.
Lol that was funny
I wish I could get my money back lmao
Forget connectivity. Can I drive it from Maine to San Diego without any problems? Is it quiet, are the seats comfortable, is the suspension up to the task, can the drivetrain handle 10 hours at 70-80 mph? That's what I'm looking for in a car, not can I update my Facebook
i have a 2012 cruze and I've driven ir from OK to AZ 16 hours and its great no problems
I do love all of these VIP interviews with EMME!!!
Actually I quite like the car. For a compact it not only looks spacious but it also looks upscale. Its great to see an American car manufacturer offer a high quality, great looking vehicle at a decent price. Thank god they didn't go in the direction of Ford with those HUGE fish mouth grilles
chevy cruze looking pretty bad ass
and they coudent have given it better lights? halogen?
I think the interior needed a slight refresh. However, my 2012 LT was averaging 39MPG.
I'm proud to own a 2010 Chevy Cruze
Gnydan
So will the old Cruze's get a mylink update to use the new text messaging features?
They always had that already, mine does it's a 2014 so ya...
Leona Nicole + Which Chevy Cruze did you get? I'm looking at trading my old car in for one.
I love my new cruze
Keona Ogwo-West me too
I really really want this so bad but my dad said it's expensive so he'd rather get the Spark which is half the price of Cruze here in the Philippines :| is it worth it?
Hey I'm Filipino I have the Cruze and drives so great!!
Emme, great questions about the 4G connectivity. I was wondering if it was going to be (for lack of a better word) complimentary because you bought a GM, or a separate bill, like we pay for satellite radio. I still enjoy free radio, and my phone is connected to to my car via bluetooth, so......
42mpg on regular unleaded! I'm curious to know what is the horsepower rating on this car.
138hp, with 148 ibs torque
@@mrps3fan No, 163hp with 265 ibs torque
I have always liked the Cruze, except for the concrete-hard seats! My son and I test drove one two years ago, and after a 10-minute drive, I was very happy to get out of the car. Perhaps the leather interior is a bit more comfy? I'll give it another look when I am car shopping again next year, especially the diesel.
No my mother has a cruze ltz with leather and the seats are hard as a brick. Looks nice inside and out, but it's not comfortable at all.
Funny how everyone used to complain about my old Gm cars seats being to soft lol. Nowadays everyone complains about my cruze's hard seats, and vice versa my Trans am has seats that are two soft for them.
1:00 quote "so many of our consumers are excited about that..." yeah... they are excited about your recalls too :))) :D
hahaha!
At the beginning of the video, was somebody farting ????????
Lol
MrKeyboardCommando hahaha dude i totally think someone ripped One lol
It be alot cooler if they were😂
you know car culture has changed for the worse when all people care about is a stupid infotainment system as opposed to actual vehicle dynamics.
Im sticking with my 2012.
Im sticking with my 2013 Manual trans.
Flyleafrocksfan
I'll stick with my 2014 Auto, this one does not look good.
I bought the diesel for my wife in 2014; it's amazing, very fast -- It goes 90 and you hardly notice it. $27,000 and worth it. Unfortunaetly, they changed the style on it; the new style is so hideous they had to shut the plant down.
Back to the drawing board. Why bother with updates if the rear goes unchanged? The front looks horrible and led lights look cheap.
hey guys what's going on with the quality of your video encoding? I see "flickering" at the top and bottom like if this were a VHS tape. WTF
Danny Contreras
Just because it's in every video doesn't make it right. They need to crop their footage just a tiny tiny amount so those black bars aren't prominent and the "flickering" stops.
i thought my computer was trippin. that got on my nerves too
They manage to screw the front of the car that was pretty good. That's is going to cost quite a bit on non-american markets. The rest it's pretty much the same.
Some people say with reason: If it ain't broken... don't fix it. Thats clearly the case here.
I'm betting that european sales will go down with that new front.
I wish you would have asked her way they didn't make it a option for hands free texting on Android because everybody doesn't have an iphone.
Please make a manual gearbox!
Idk who remade the front end grill is to big for car much . Rather have a 2014
Excuse me, but looking at a touch screen is just as distracting as looking at your phone. Here's a bright idea, configure your phone to turn-off some functions while you're driving. Hmmm
Just don't get it why update for 1 model year and get a complete new generation in 2016.
GM should ditch its inefficient and underpowered N/A Ecotec's (i.e. 1.2L, 1.4t, and 1.8L) for smaller displacement, turbocharged engines. All having VVT, SIDI, IVVL, and VTM.
The Cruze should get:
1.3t I4 with 150HP and 160-175LB-FT
2.0tdi I4 with 170HP and 270-285LB-FT
7-Speed DCT
Active Grille Shutters
Stop-Start
Fuel Economy:
1.3t FWD- 35 City and 47 Highway (41mpg Combined)
2.0tdi FWD- 32 City and 52 Highway (42mpg Combined)
Evan Ganske the 1.4 t is turbo charged
watch out it will catch on fire!!!!!
Come on GM. You could've made the update's on the exterior more patent. The car is basically the same thing as the previous model year, you just added a few touches here and there.
Doesnt anyone remember when automakers made the same car without changing a thing for 10+ years?
Emmett Adams Yeah, I seen the one that debuted in China. If that is the one also coming to America, its a very good-looking car but I hope GM makes it look a little more masculine. The front is like a volt minus the headlights.
I love my 2011 Chevy Cruze♡ I names him Dani
hey..the car is right behind you..can you just show us the "everything we never want to know"
Hated when chevy put the painted break in the grille. They fixed the big SUV was hoping they would fix all of them ,cruse looks worse.

A bit disappointing it's just a new schnoz and mobile wifi, cue the sad tuba.
We are living in an era where these items exist:
Wireless 4G routers with batteries, Smartphone tethering & Pocket Wifi,
Quite sure you won't be using torrent in your car too. I just don't know what's so exciting about that. Just saying.
The 4G connection is dumb. We already have it on our phones who wants to pay for another line just for the car?!
I agree! Also I bet it will be some ridiculously overpriced with limited data!
I'd rather just use the foxfi app to share my data than pay for another line.
where the hell is the wagon??
I hope the next generation is an all around more comfortable car. The current model has a horribly hard seat with no lower back support. I bang my head every time I enter/exit and I'm only 5'9". I'll stick with my 14. Doesn't seem like it's worth the upgrade
Chevy Cruze - the rental

I have text message alerts in my 2014. It's not new for 2015.
Change the tail lights Chevy.
an honest feedback, I really don't think that having a WIFI in the car is a good idea. almost all mobile phones have a wifi hotspot function in them and can activate it in your car for others to use it.
Diesel, Siri, text messages reading are awesome features !!!
maybe it's good for long road trips? Not having to roam in the middle of nowhere
if it's a car review, why we see 99% of the time more of the people/presenters than of the car? Car is in the background one can't see much of it
Manual transmission diesel Cruze would be a smart move for GM they would sell great. They can't see it. What a mistake not to offer a manual transmission :-(
the worst mistake was even making all of these shit unibody basic bitch cars that are made specifically for elderly people
the looks on all the new cars are stupid theres like 500 curves and edges i feel like all the smooth body lined cars from the 90s just look so much better and look at the front ends on all new cars they get giant on the grill everything about these new futuristic cars looks stupid the only people that modify or race cruises got stuck with them nobody in the entire world would use a cruise for anything other than piking the kids up from school then looking retarted on the way home in the time machine/ chevy cruise and i sa a commercial that said they were a sporty performance cars if the cruise is a sports car then the geo metro is a full blown race car from the factory because thats bullshit whoever designed the cruze and all the unibody shit suvs like the equinox should be fired immediately for having such stupid ideas

Good Car My favori Cruze come Turkey
These text messaging options should be illegal.
Don't like when they change just for the sake of change cruise still looked fresh you can keep it the same . Nisan did it with the versa now I wouldn't buy one ,totally screwed it up.
The 2015 Chevy Cruze LS is better looking than the LT
Lindo carro me gustaria verlo en el modelo LTZ
Really Chevy???? No projector led or hid headlights? Led tails? Same interior and rear end. No new wheel choices it looks like either. Guess I'll go with a Mazda 3 that has way more technology.
Now talking about a piece of shit, i drove that one BEFORE buying a 2014 Cruze LT, horrible interior and ride the mazda 3 lol!
(1:38) I mean that's great because there's so many times when like hey where you wanna eat hey where can we order a pizza hey I just ran that stop sign hey I just ran over that old lady blah blah...pinhead.
The front grill looks like it belongs on a truck, not this car...
SOOO About that Grille...
Pretty car.
My mom just got one c; might be 2016 idk
it looks like the car grew a huge pimple I like the old look alot better
we are all gonna die from wifi cancer
My 14 ltz rs still looks better than the 16 ugly grill
I Hate the new 16 ones
Can you tell me your likes and any dislikes you have?
What a disappointing refresh...
8.5 second to 100
wifi and 4g? yeah because everyone want to check their facebook WHILE THEY ARE DRIVING
What are passengers?
You are acting like if the average person ia smart.
You know this is a 2015 cavalier lol
Diesel is not dirty lol. In fact< doctors say it is even good for the environment...
Looks like the Suzuki Kizashi
You Wish… looks horrible this cruze
Joaquin Coronado I can see a run on 2014's.
THE INTERIOR IS THE SAME. ugh
Wow! im glad i bought a 2013! that thing is hideous
I don't even give a shit about its looks. The point of this car is economy.
But no manual? Now THAT is piss poor IMO.
Also I'm a 16 year old with a manual, I trash it sometimes, so 25 is still pretty good
***** 25 in the city for a compact is poor.
mountainhobo it's not a compact
like better the 2014 front..
nice
Ruined my favorite Chevy car :/
the wifi would bother me....these people are sorry as hell but they're not stupid, so why wifi?........... most mobile internet "people" have a wifi device in their pocket so why pay for two? one dedicated to the car & the other on their smartphone, and to top it off, the one in the car can't possibly be used unless you're IN the car. the ONLY thing that makes any sense is that the wifi is installed, not for the owners use, but for the use of "who knows who". & for "who knows what" And there's the hackers. And there's the question of "what all in my car is linked to the internet?"
I'd be willing to bet an ass cheek that google is behind that bs
turns out, wifi is not an option......you pay for it whether you use/like it or not
fuck adding 4g... add AWD. Just more shit for onstar to harass you about buying or shadily charge you for.
Why are they just BARELY getting the text read out on their 2015 models. Which by the way are horribly ugly. The old model looked better. She is full of it, the older ones had it already with the Mylink (GMC) system. My 2014 has it too, it's not new to the car, she is just an idiot.
This car looks horrible now
They didn't even properly show the car, they just talked and talked. Waste of time.
it's basically a polished turd
cruz is slow
...butter face. Chevy, wtf.
Good grief! That is one ugly front!
they made is ugly.
That looks like shit! I'll take my 2011 Cruze over that any day.
this car has the most ugliest rear lights I have ever seen in my life. they seem very ugly.
Yawn
No car is perfect. Chances are the majority of you are just exaggerating or lying about your experiences. Yeah this car is a piece of junk, but it's built for poor people. What do you expect?
U call a car which starts at 25k "built for poor people"... Who said anything? Most people were just saying that 4g is unnecessary
Even worse car than the 2014. Uglier front end, same terrible ride and handling, plastic interior, gutless vibration ridden engine, and spongey ride.
You dont know how the new cruze drives. it could drive better for all we know.
evilpeach2 . I don't know. She didn't really mention any changes beyond the front end and WiFi. Sounds like a midcycle refresh rather than a significant power train or dynamics update.

Any car has plastic, Cruze(s) all of them, combines plastic and SOFT TOUCH interior, not sure now if you even got into one at all.
*gutless vibration ridden engine*
The 1.4L Turbo, is a fine little engine no vibrations. The 1.8l is a disaster, i agree with you on that only for the 1.8.
*and spongey ride*
You're totally confusing a commuter with a race styl car.
It's not intended to be that.
car is yawn
Boring
