Sweet. You got it out! Glad to see your making progress. A couple things. That is a spacer ring not a gasket. It makes sure the CHRA sits into the exhaust housing at the correct depth. If you take a few minutes and mock up the heat shield you can see where you can trim it to allow easier access to the waste gate actuator arm. That way you can get to the connection and disconnect or adjust the preload for the waste gate( if using an AGP) without having to remove the shield everytime. Lastly if it's going to be apart a few days, disconnect the down pipe and have a look at the waste gate flapper inside the exhaust manifold with your bore scope. They have a tendency to crack where the flapper seals, leaking boost. All 5he ones I looked at in junkyard where also cracked. I found new turbo and manifold assembly's on flea bay cheaper than just the manifold itself fyi. PS would be a good opportunity to upgrade the O2 housing and do a lil porting of the manifold while your there😎. Awesome work!

how do you engage the turbo while driving? I have a pt cruiser my self, a 2004, with the turbo in it, i have not noticed the turbo activating yet, even when I kick the pedal to the floor.
What’s the difference between the touring edition with the 2.4 turbo and the GT turbo ? My cruiser keeps turning off by itself do you know what it could be ?
I’m having a problem with mine it keeps turning off by it self so you know what it could be ? I already changed the crank sensor and the camshaft sensor

Turbo-Lites and GTs are the EXACT same engine wise. the ONLY difference is in the Tune.
