@Wuleza I like the idea but there isn't really any finishing move better than any other. A ranking like that wouldn't make any sense: Finger Roll < Contact Finish < Reverse Layup < Floater < Rondo Fake 🤔
Don't forget 3 or 4 dribble limit 1v1's, great for working on your triple threat and forces u to make the most of ur dribbles, nba players do it and it seems like a lot more youtubers are playing like that rn ex: friga
@@CoachFrikki Forgot to mention it also forces u to create contact when driving to create better angles, Great vid btw always look foward to ur videos 👍
I love that despite some of these drills being in the lowest/lower tiers, Coach Frikki still acknowledges the merits to doing them despite their lack of effectiveness - just to give the viewers (like myself) the security that we're still getting better doing any of these drills.
This channel is a huge help towards getting better at basketball and learning the plays and mechanics as a whole, I love the content and how useful the breakdowns are, definetly something to watch when learning.
I’m a d2 hooper and you know what you’re talking about, I figured all this out later in life could only imagine if I realized how to actually dribble early, I’d be a 6’7 gaurd right now 😊
Romans 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.d
Also watching other dribblers play helps a lot, sometimes when i feel that im losing my dribble or i feel awkward when dribbling i see people like teens playing kyrie irving, allen iverson etc... playing which makes me more comfortable and more when trying to copy them using the moves when i feel its neccesary to use it in any moment
I love this video and the music, my all time favourite way basketball is played is when it looks so effortless. Ball handling can be like a dance, i wish to handle with the tune of the avatar theme if that makes sense ahaha even the most simple move can look so clean.
Hi coach, I went through ball handling program by PJF Performance, he breaks ball handle down into 5 blocks - control + speed + power + 2 ball handle + combo move and we practice one block per week so there will be 5 days/week. I feel like that's a very systematic approach in ball handling rather than we just pick new random drills from everywhere. Cheers P/s: i did 3 months and I really understood how to shift my defender. Not perfect but really improve
Hey Coach, is it possible to create a video that is focused on around dribble or threat threat moves that are perfect for beginners? All your videos are always above and beyond, just as a coach myself, it’d be cool to have a one stop video that I can send to all my youth players.
Used to do freestyle workouts as a kid, ironically once I started playing more organized, I was told to get away from that. Don't allow your coaches to put you in a box‼ Also, coaches, allow your kids opportunities for them to be themselves‼
An underrated part of dribbling training is agility/quickness/ladder drills. After all, if you can't beat your defender without a ball, how can you beat them with a ball?
NBA players dont have one way of improving. Everyone reacts according to his weaknesess, just got to put hard work and dedication. No matter how you practice. And once you turn a weakness into a strenght there are a lot more weaknesess to go!
Coach I really wanna know when Im playing 5v5 wholecourt, When running down the court with the ball I always feel like I have no control of the ball and defenders pressing me easily snatches the ball like Im too weak dribbling and pounding the ball its like im too clumsy bringing the ball down but I have no problem with my touch with the ball when playing halfcourt. How can I fix this?
1v1 is the best by far. If there is someone with you on the court, play him. Freestyle is just so fun. It works your creativity and being smooth. Imagine that defender & react to him. You can freestyle any of the other drills, freestyle through cones, freestyle w/ 2 balls. However a mix of all is best. Constantly mixing things up keeps it fresh, fun & challenging.
Agreed on everything except the cuff drill , it’s easily A tier because in playing basketball you need to Lear how to cuff the ball to run an offense and do a move to shake defender lol
Yeah cuff drills are good. I just find them really boring for some reason. Probably because there are not a lot of versions/progressions to build on and hard to freestyle out of.
I live my life with a ball in my hand but I'm still struggling to get those hard and fast dribbles like you showed in the stationary drills section, if I keep doing the stationary drills will it come and should I deflate or over inflate my ball to help?
i've been training myself in basketball for about 2 months now, my ball handling seems ok but my problem is my footwork, everytime i do a behind the back to the right for example, it always hits my right leg. Any solution to this problem? thanks!!
What videos would you like to see next?
Moving without the ball or how to beat defenders off the dribble with change of speed/height.
best signature move ranked

read and react moves would be hella helpful
make this a series bro, where you rank drills for specific basketball skills.
Don't forget 3 or 4 dribble limit 1v1's, great for working on your triple threat and forces u to make the most of ur dribbles, nba players do it and it seems like a lot more youtubers are playing like that rn ex: friga
Great point - I actually had dribble limit 1v1 as the 15th drill but dropped it out.

If we had a coach tier list on youtube,
Coach Frikki is definitely tier S 💯💯 💯
easily one of the best
Real
Coach Frik and By any Means Basketball easily tier S

This is the best dribbling/ballhandling video ever. Very inspirational. Captures the love for ballhandling.

How long is the workout and does he incorporate it with reads and stuff with layups? Or straight up ball handling?
what kind of ball handling drill??
Make a video on Pick and roll.
Like how to set it up, reads, etc
This channel is one of the best, it helped me a lot in my game, I improved too fast with this and now I am a better player.
a minute in i already love this video, the music, editing in the cones in the video 😭😭😭
NGL your background music make this video comfier to watch. Love it.
Great Think I don't know what you say. I really appreciate what do you do for us 👍👍🙏

Best video ever you did 👌
1v1 is king and is the best warmup then drills which sounds crazy but it works
Love warming up with ones!

No ball freestyle drill is kinda like SHADOWBOXING. I like that DRILL no matter what 🥊🏀
do ranking shooting and finishing drills please
Hello Coach Frikki! Can you make a video/drills on how to change pace/speed. And also drills and mindset to have a consistent shooting. Thank you!
Stationary, game speed, and trying in game are my fav
you are good player man dont give up
Coach can you make a video about Reverse Layup?
Have you ever heard of the pole drill before, makes your handles amazing for games. The pole acts like a defenders hand
Appreciated as always, great stuff.
Great Video. Thank you
Love the content and music
Thanks Coach!
You just got a new subscriber. Amazing content. No Bullshit. Love from India :)
Cuff drills are goaded cuz it helps with ball manipulation and it helps you go from good to great
An underrated part of dribbling training is agility/quickness/ladder drills. After all, if you can't beat your defender without a ball, how can you beat them with a ball?
Agreed. But ladder drills are not effective.
@@CoachFrikki Ladder drills develop quick feet and coordination required for many dribbling moves.
Yo could you do video about pick and roll? Like all you need to know like how to set it, how to roll

Love me some 2 Ball Drills. But they are not really game like so it's hard to put them in the top tier.
Thanks coach 🙏
Cones are A tier
You should be in the nba
so the fastest way i’ll prove is if i 1v1 and freestyle? does that mean i necessarily don’t need the other types of drills

Nope. One day though!

Stationary being higher ranked than walking is the only one that feels off to my brain. Great list coach! Btw is that you in the blue T and glasses???
Stationary has endless options opposed to the walking one which is more limited. But yeah it's me.
