An end update is very great. But most likely, It will be like the nether update. Add new ores, more structures, more biomes, more mobs, more mechanics, y'know what I mean. Hopefully they add something unique. And make the update fun, and not grindy.

By updating the End, it will encourage more players to explore it further. Adding more progression would be even better. So, almost everyone eventually goes to the End, unless you're the exception.

I have a bunch of friends in the Minecraft community who have told me that they rarely ever get to the end and only do so when absolutely necessary for their builds. I’ve taught them how to go to the end and then build out to the end islands but they still never go
its possible that there will be a sculk biome in the end, to make the portal in the stronghold ancient miners needed endstone that they could've gotten only in the end and its possible that the portal in the deep dark is connected to one in the end city also the sculks texture is stars and under the sculk catalyst theres endstone

The reason the updates take so long is because of texture packs (e.g Candy or Fantasy). That and they have to fire every interaction something new will have with everything else. I thought I should point this out because people call Mojang lazy a lot

I want mojang to add optimization into the game like sodium and add lods like distance horizons. The update should purely focus on optimizations and visual improvemets.

That boss gotta be far far harder to kill then the dragon... but less broken then the warden.. Basically insanely tanky..a lot of attack patterns...but don't deal insane damage🔥
The end is called the end for a reason. There shouldn't be any sort of progression after the ender dragon IMO. It sort of betrays the image and theme of the game.

1.21 wasn’t actually that bad. We got a new structure, three new mobs, a new potion (that does different things depending on the place you’re at), the mace, three new enchantments, a new projectile, new music disks, more copper stuff like doors and light sources, and bunch more blocks.
An end update would be cool, but I hope the update won't ruin the "barren and empty" feeling of The End, which makes it unique in its own way. I'm sure there's a way to keep that aura while also making it less boring for some players (like adding a new ultimate ore, alternative to Netherite, or new rare structures) but I guess change is kinda inevitable, since that's what updates are all about. I'm very curious to see what's next!

I like some things like the glowing purple blocks, but the complete overhaul and vegetation makes it look like another dimension, and too evolved to be recognizable in the main game. The end credits literally talk about the player now being left to their own creative liberties. No more progression is needed after the End. Personally, i dont think the end update needs to be "the biggest update yet". The end is meant to be barren and empty. All i would want is some new shrubbery (maybe chorus bushes and chorus grass) which can be used to create the new "Chorus fields" biome. Then maybe a new passive mob in the chorus fields. Next, i'd say they should add small caves underground where you can find amethyst and maybe an end variant of coal for fuel / torches. Finally, they should add small ruined structures on the end islands to make the search for end cities less desolate and boring. A new hostile mob guarding these ruins would be cool too, maybe a tankier version of the enderman that deals more damage but is slower and teleports less. Oh, and they should also make endermites spawn naturally in these new ruined structures!

1.21 is not at all underwhelming, and the Ender dragon is the final boss of the game which is why there's not much progression afterwards
well there are side quests after you did the main thing
1.21 isn't terrible but it's pretty underwhelming considering it wasn't worth a years wait
