I've tried everything here with both the XPro-N Trigger and V1N but unfortunately cannot get these to communicate with each other to wirelessly trigger the flash :(
Im actually at the point of giving up anf selling this flash. I don't often use it but any time i do it doesn't connect to the trigger and i spend more time connecting it then i do taking pictures. Ive tried everything in thid video and it still doesn't connect. Anyone want to buy one?
After my first couple of hours trying to set up a Godex S1 Pro and trigger to my Sony A7rv I am wishing I had waited for Sony stock to arrive! Its a nightmare. It works, then it does not! Some of the your instructions work, others bring up different results. Ok, I am no Elon Musk in the tech area but I can manage all the menus of a RV and am all over Lightroom, but this is killing me!

I wasn't able to get my Nikon d780 to pair. You explain it so well and I followed all the steps and still can't seem to get it to work. Maybe I have a setting on that is causing this. Is there a way we could discuss this further?
Thanks for your vid. It really helped me regarding the identity setting. For reasons I wasn't aware of I had managed to accidently set ID=3 on my V1 flash. This effectively meant I was unable to use with my controller, which had it's ID unchanged and set to 'off'. With the ID off on my controller and being unaware of the ID dimension, I had only varied channels and groups successfully controlling multiple AD200s. Up until now everything worked as expected except for my V1, even when set to the correct channel and group. Frustratingly, all I could do with the V1 was use on camera or in slave mode. Now understanding 'ID dimensions' I can alter this successfully too, albeit it's really overkill for my use cases - but good to know it's there. I just now need to 'hack around' in my AD200 menus to see if ID exists there too (I never noticed). I guess the general answer to this and many similar types of problems is that old adage of just RTFM

I know this is a year old -- but when I turn on my V1C and try to get to the "orange" screen -- I am only able to see the screen say "slave." I am not able to get it to say RX. Beyond that -- I've got the same ID, same channel -- but I cannot get the Xpro to trigger the flash. Help -- what am I missing? Please and thank you!
It doesn't matter whether it says Rx or Slave, it's the same thing just different names. If you the channel and ID settings are correct the next thing you could check is groups and make sure that it's in the correct mode and not in the Off mode. I hope this helps.
Thank you. This was the only video tutorial I found easy to follow. Can you do a video on how to set to change each separate speedlite from the trigger control. Eg a main light and a full light in studio. I’ve successfully set up both to trigger but when I change one they all change.

If that doesn't work, it could be a good idea to take it to the shop you bought it from and see if they can help you. Do you have the X2 trigger or the XPro?

Thanks for this video. I recently got mine and I have to be honest the build quality is fantastic and the prices also great but man if this isn’t the worst menu system I’ve ever used. The buttons seems more contextually based which only would make sense if it was a touch screen device where they can change. Navigation is also confusing and not very intuitive. I might exchange this for the Profoto system even though I’m reluctant to pay their prices.
Haha, yep, great bit of gear but they don't make it easy to understand and the instructions aren't very clear either. It's not too bad once you get used to the menus but I've got to admit it does take a bit of effort.
Can you help with a problem I am having with my Godox Pro trigger(C) and my Godox 860III flash. I have a two light set up Iit is working fine it just at times the camera won't trigger the flashesThey will trigger from the flash trigger but not the camera.I have changed the batteries on everything , set the distance to 0-100 and they won't fire from the camera. Rx mode and slave mode are the same thing. If you have the latest firmware it will say Rx rather than slave. Many companies are moving away from the slave/master terminology and replacing it with Rx/Tx. BTW Rx means receive and Tx means transmit.
This all seems quite straightforward until the part about using Group. There isn't a group of flashes here but only one flash. The "Group" setting seems to used to preprogram the flash to function in a specific mode/power setting. Also it seems essential that in manual mode both trigger and flash must have the same power output selected or can that just be dialed in and adjusted by the trigger?
It does seem that way for the zoom but you can adjust the flash intensity via the X-Pro trigger, it just needs to be in manual mode. Some people may prefer to use the ETTL mode, in which case your camera will adjust the flash settings for you.
You can make it fire by pressing test button. But if you want it to fire when when you take a photo there needs to be a way for the V1 to know when to do that, so you would need a trigger. I'm not aware of any other way to connect your camera to the flash without a trigger.
I agree, thank you for posting! Can you share what setting you are using while on your camera? Also, why can’t you change your shutter speed when trigger is on the camera?
You're welcome. The settings are going to be different depending on what I'm shooting, the flash setting does need to be on though. You should be able to change your shutter speed, however it will not be able to be faster than 1/200 unless you turn high speed sync on. Which camera are you using?

Have you looked up for the „ID“. Set your ID to off, this solved my problem
set up the ID like he explains in step 3, it should work with that

The Godox site could be better when it comes to instructions on how to update the firmware. I'll look into creating a video on how to do this.

you push and through your finger I can't see what you press. I can not change the CH. It stays on CH1
I don't connect on "B". My trigger connect everything only on "A".? Can you show me how to connect 2 flashes? On A and B.

My Godux V1 is showing only I-TTL and after following the directions twice through- my trigger is not working or connecting with my V1 :(
Sorry to hear that it's not working for you, if all the settings are correct it should be connecting. I have summarised the steps in the description, so hopefully that's some help. If that doesn't work, it could be a good idea to take it to the shop you bought it from and see if they can help you.

Rx/slave are the same but different terminologies if your fireware is the updated version, then it shows Rx

Is it possible to shot with highspeed on SLAVE mode ??????? i just can till 1/200
If you look at where it says SYNC on the display and press the button under that you should be able to cycle to one of the high speed sync modes.

Can the V1 fire off camera without the trigger, or is the trigger required?
You can make it fire by pressing test button. But if you want it to fire when when you take a photo there needs to be a way for the V1 to know when to do that, so you would need a trigger. I'm not aware of any other way to connect your camera to the flash without a trigger.
