I would love to see more training videos for puppies who aren’t food motivated. Our puppy is so chill, especially around food (isn’t interested in treats) that he feels challenging to train!

These are great tips. I've been doing the feeding method with my Pocket Bully since I brought him home, at 5 months he now gives direct eye contact before getting the "okay" to eat. Great way to teach self control that trickles into other training and routines.
It’s been almost 10 years since I last trained a puppy. I came home exactly one day ago to a 12week old black lab puppy. Training this time is easier is some aspects and harder in others. One of those reasons being the fact it’s -10 (but feels like -24). He hates the cold. But it’s also a good insensitive for him to not get distracted and just use the bathroom so he can get a treat and come back in the warm cozy home. Thanks for all the tips. I’m gonna step up my training game with him. My 10 year old German Shepherd is a great dog, but I was 17 when I trained her and she’s a brat in some ways. So this is my chance to really do it right.
I have this issue now with my 12 week old Puggle! She hates the cold and struggles to go to the washroom while being outside because of the freezing weather. Every time I spend time with her outside she goes to the bathroom right when we get in the house instead. The struggle is real

10 week old Pom, Having problems with potty training! I’ve set a timer for myself so to catch her. It seems when I take her to potty pad she doesn’t want anything to do with it. ( bought attract spray. Didn’t work) I stay with her on the leash, waiting for 10-15 min she doesn’t go. I put her where her toys are and bed. The min I turn my back she goes potty, whenever or wherever she is. I’ve takin her out side and doesn’t like the turf. The breeders had her going on potty pads. I do what you say take her out 1st thing that goes well, and after eating .but the rest of the day just goes down hill. Please help! 😟
My dog is about that size. Every time I take her for a walk she hates being on the leash, and she just sits there. I try not to keep pulling the leash because I fear hurting her. What advise would you give me to help her feel comfortable with the leash?

I have two mini Aussies, one is food motivated, one is play motivated. Balls are her favorite, so I would use that instead of food.
My puppy isn’t food motivated either! It’s hard getting him to eat everything he should in the day LOL
For best results, training with treats should be mostly used when the puppy/dog is hungry, before any regular feeding time.

Trying so hard to use these tips for our puppy but the biggest issue we have he is not food/treat motivated at all! I have to coerce him to even eat his kibble usually! Treats he’ll just leave and we’ve tried a couple different ones now. Do you have any recommendations?
First time here . Learned alot I just adopted a rescue puppy she's 6 weeks old
I have a 6 yo pug, I wish I saw your channel way back when. I am thinking about getting a puppy in the distant future, so why am I binge watching your channel. Well because it’s better to know now vs wait till I get the doggy… I prefer to plan ahead, doesn’t always work for me but trying is key.
I am collecting my pup soon and like the idea of using the houseline.
I was just wondering do I use the same houseline on the pup when taking outside for toilet ?
Also when leash/walking training do I use the housline for this or change over to another leash. Ie slip lead for example? Thanks
Hello All!
I just adopted a lab 4 days back and he turned 2 months old yesterday itself and got his first shot . As, he was not living in a good condidtion he is weak. Can you please guide me how to train him?
Your training is amazing. I love McCann Dogs and your training. Thank you so much. I will recommend you to everyone
I just got a Chesapeake bay retriever. Would u say I need to try different tactics with them I've heard they are a little more hard headed them labs. Such a great job
Is it relevant for 1.5 months black lab? What age should I train these “wins”?
I love your videos and thank you very much. Just wanted to get your thoughts on feeding before or after walking a puppy? I read online about fear of stomach bloat if walking immediately after feeding
Wonderful videos! Thank you!
You're very good at teaching Shaping behaviors!
Thanks for the tips!
These are very effective tips. Thank you. We’ve been following them and having great success.
I am getting two puppies at once. They are sisters. Would you recommend keeping them in the same crate?
How can you use a house line on a huge 145 pound 6 month old puppy ?
Love the videos.
