I “upgraded” from a T150 and this is probably my biggest issue with the 923. It’s so pronounced in comparison and for a much higher price I expected better. Not only is it more clunky sounding but it feels more clunky also.
That rattling is exactly the reason I sent mine back. It's the most horrible sensation you can have when driving. I find it really of putting and end up concentrating more on the rattling than the driving. It ruins the whole experience and if your car did it you wouldn't drive it.

Recently purchased hased for ps5 and is freeking amazing, simple set up and easy dial in for gt7 has taken 20 -25 seconds off of my lap times , have it set up with the fit lite cockpit rig all up $800 with sale price jb hifi aus dollars 💸, chose this over fanatec and other dd wheel sets bang for buck and just as much fun if not more with the vibration and noise , to avoid the noise stay true to track , gentle noise and geed back when curb line driving , highly recommended and value 😀 first time rig racer and above 50 years old totally awesome fun set. 😀 gtrat quality build and materials great leather feel and features 👌,
Good review. I have a G923 and it is working fine. I do want to upgrade to a DD wheel soon and I'm looking at the R21 and similar price high torque DDs. I did the AXC truebrake mod and the leo bodnar cable for the G923 pedals. I think I will keep these pedals for a while and upgrade those after I get a DD.
I have the g920 no problems with it its just the software g hub dosnt have support for road bumps so to have the bumps I use the old logitech software as well drive in ATS/ETS2 makes it more realistic when driving on the open roads
I would say it was a great wheel, 2 things let it down, its really noisy like really loose bearings, you can feel the play in the bearings, and some of the functions still dont work on the xbox, not even the shoulder buttons, after all this time they should have had it sorted by now
I still have the earlier logitech ps2/PC wheel called driving force the black and blue one , FFB still works great pedals didnt have clutch , but its my go to for V8 supercars 3 nostalgia (toca race driver 3)👍

Beamng won't even recognize mine. I have the Xbox/pc version. I use it on the pc though. And yes I have the G hub and drivers. I've tried everything. The game just doesn't want to know that I have a wheel. It does work with forza horizon 4, need for speed heat, the crew, and My Summer Car.
Alright, here's the problem I'm having. I'm looking to get a wheel setup for Forza, maybe CarX and possibly Assetto Corsa and I just dont know what to get for the wheel and pedal set. I was thinking about the G920 but my issue with that was everything I heard about the brake pedal so I was thinking about the Thrustmaster set that goes for a little over $220 USD on amazon at the time I am typing this. The G923 would prevent me from needing to get that pedal set but I would like to get something with a bit more force feedback but I'm stuck on the looks of the Logitech wheels and it's haed for me to even think about another option. I plan to get the Fanatec Club Sport shifter and a handbrake aswell to round off the setup. What could you recommend that you think I would like?
I reviewed the TMX, which is the same as the T300. I don't remember noticing any center deadzone. The G29/G920 does have that problem. And it is fixed in the G923, I cover this in the video.
just wanted to say i bought the g923 it still have the ffb dead zone not that much as g27 (didnt try the g29) its about 1cm left and right, if i compare it to older version g923 is tighten but not removed....also in G hub i cant turn off the centering spring only, cose it turn off the wheel resistance to , now 2 options is melted to one, otherwords if i dont want to wheel turn back in center automaticly in 1sec and i turn it down the wheel have 0 resistance like with no power...maybe i missing something idk
nah thats normal, Logitech stiffened up the brake pedal for the G923, I got used to it and its actually not that bad now especially since you don’t need to press it all the way down, feels more sporty. Still does feel pretty stiff tho

I have a used Thrustmaster T150 that i have been using for a year now, i don't really like the "notched" feel it has when making small steering adjustments. I was thinking about buying the g293, would it be an upgrade to the T150?
@@SimRacingCorner i heard that the T300 also has a bit notchy feel. When playing WRC10 or Dirt Rally 2.0 it doesn't really bother me but when playing Gran Turismo 7 the notches annoy me very much

I keep dialling my settings down to get rid of as much as possible.Its the weight transfer that I get a clicking noise but I'd like more feel but it comes with the price of more "knocking " it's all really confusing around what the wheel is doing and when.some say this is normal for these logitech wheels and others say it isn't and it's called clipping.anyone know definitively whether its normal for the wheel to make these noises and wont damage the wheel or whether its "clipping"? Any real insight would be greatly appreciated.
It's normal, that's not clipping. The rattle is from the teeth of the connecting cogs. And with added true force on top the G923 produces more constant noise than the previous-gen Logitech wheels. Clipping is a lack of detail because of your motor maxing out.

You're in the right ballpark. This is an example of clipping. Going around a corner where the weight of the wheel becomes heavy from the counterforce resistance. During that corner, you go over a bump. When clipping occurs, you won't feel the bump as the motor is already maxed out with the resistance from the cornering effect. So basically lower end details aren't coming through. That's when reducing the FFB by some degree is the correct solution. I ran the main FFB strength at 100% during my tests and was happy with how it felt. Logitech wheels are very well built, all Logitech wheels make noise, it's not an indication of a problem to worry about. Set the strength of the FFB to what you feel works for you, and that's it. There are no absolute correct FFB settings as everyone likes a different feel. And each game does FFB a bit differently.

There is no difference other than the fact this whell has the addition of haptic feedback. It's not even close to worth it if you alreadg own the g29/g920.

I recently got one and I have only used it in PS4 F1 2019 the rattles sound is crazy!! you think this is normal? in your game sounds less.
That is normal for the Logitech wheels. The force feedback effects output in different games are not identical so the rattle can vary per game.
is there a button or some way to use HANDBRAKE in RACING WHEEL without buying a separate HANDBRAKE like Heusinkveld Handbrake?
You can map any button to be a handbrake

Is it plug and play for the xbox, or do I have to update the firmware at first? Because I dont have an windows pc.
It has no facility to update the firmware. It is plug-and-play and on console and entirely dependant on the game supporting the wheel.
Are the G923 brake pedals the same as the G920? Wondering if I got a bad wheel because the pedal was extremely hard to press just a little.

The LEDS just work automatically, there's no option to turn on/off as far as I know. I don't think LEDS are linked to trueforce.

Hmmm. You're swapping T150 notches for Logitech FFB rattle. You might not like that either. The T300 would be the better option.

Make sure to install the Logitech G HUB software, otherwise Windows won't see the G923.

That won't work as the shifter needs to plugged into the wheelbase on consoles. So only the Logitech shifter will work with the G923 on the xbox.

You can just plug the Shifter into your PC. It works without a Thrustmaster Wheel.
