Every time he mentions Georgia I think of my home country Republic of Georgia which is oldest producer of wine by the way. Growing native grapes from Republic of Georgia in the state of Georgia would make a great marketing sales point.

The best wine I ever had was a fizzy peach mango Moscato from a gas station so wine probably isn't my thing (I like those cheap canned cocktails personally), but my girlfriend has gotten really into wine and I need to know what I'm talking about if I'm going to joke about it. Here's my material so far: cabinent filetmignon and chard-on. Great video.

I’ve also learned that histamines (which any alcoholic/fermented beverage is high in) can cause headaches and other reactions in certain people. I’ve been hearing more and more that it’s the histamines that cause more problems in wine than the sulfites, but don’t quote me on that!!

Simply wonderful video. Extremely informative. When I was an Operating Room Nurse in the 90s, I saved up a bit of money and treated myself to some Bordeaux. I bought bottles of Chateau Latour, Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Chateau Phélan-Ségur, and Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou. OMG!! I fell in love with them all but Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou is most definitely the best wine I've ever tasted. From then on I've tried to appreciate and fully comprehend what I'm drinking. By that I mean: Know your wineries, vineyards, and personal tastes. I myself much prefer heavy, dark, dry, powerful, full-bodied reds.

I don’t drink alcohol, so I’m not the sort of person who would have an opinion on the various kinds of wines. But I do know that there are about eight basic flavors which are blended to achieve a certain wine.
And also, kids like to drink Kool Aid. There are also around eight basic flavors. So it should be possible to make a plastic straw which has eight smaller straws running in parallel. Each smaller straw would have a plastic valve which allows the flow of water to be controlled. The inside of each separate smaller straw would be coated with a certain flavor.
So if you gave this straw to a kid, he would start by taking a drink of water. Then he could open the eight small valves in various combinations in order to achieve a particular flavor. The straw would be designed for one-time use only. But it would allow children to experiment with combinations of vanilla, cinnamon, lemon, grape, etc. I think it would cost less than a dollar.
For people who like wine, they could buy a cheap bottle of red or white, and then try different modifications to find out which other wines they might enjoy. I think it would be fun. And another excuse to get drunk!

This was very informative but the audio kinda sucks. I have to turn the volume up or put my ear near the speakers to hear what was being said.

Hasn’t it been proven that sulfites are not responsible for headaches? Sulfites are naturally occurring and are not dramatically more present in wine than other foods. Bread and dried fruits r high in sulfites. I hope sulfites don’t become the next msg.

Great message, yes I heard tannins can cause it and allergies to certain plant chemicals. Thank you for watching and commenting!
