For the first two weeks of my daughters life I never thought we would ever get to a point where I was nursing without pain it was so incredibly unbearable. She had mechanical issues and I had fear and anxiety which didn’t work well together although I still have a lot of trauma on my left nipple that is healing I can say I am nursing on the right side with absolutely no pain except for during initial latch for about 20 secondsI never thought we would get to this, with the help of my lactation consultant in the done naturally Facebook group here we are, thank you.
I had a weird dream I had a baby and I was breastfeeding and it didn’t hurt it just felt kinda weird. So I wonder if I know what breastfeeding feels like now...
I am a new mum and my son is one month. The tenderness you describe while not nursing and the pain you describe during the feeding are my day-to-day nursing experience from the very beginning. Is there anything I can do ? I really do want to be pain free and continue breastfeeding.
But you didn't mention (the taboo subject) "what are you feeling?" You said you'll know you're doing it right because it feels wonderful,...but what feels wonderful? Another point,...it is known that female breast milk given to boys is completely different than that give to girls. Nursing moms produce much richer breast milk for their sons than for daughters. Does that have to do with "feelings?"...albeit subconscious? The Trivers-Willard hypothesis states that there is a much greater parental investment in boys, thus they receive greater attention. However I disagree with that. I'd be curious if lesbian moms produce richer milk for their daughters. But the main question is "What Does Breastfeeding Feel Like?" Physically, emotionally, spiritually.

Oh no mama. Have you seen an IBCLC to help with latch and attachment to correct it?
Here’s my video on it if it helps at all. ua-cam.com/video/h2wGva8nJyE/v-deo.html
