I taught art to middle schoolers for 15 years and this was one of my most favorite projects!! We saved alot of the bulletin board papers throughout the year, separated by color into 5 gallon buckets. I had 5 or 6 straight-cut paper shredders and the kiddos LOVED this part!! Once they were all shredded we covered the shreds in water and a few drops of peppermint oil (to avoid molding) and stirred/agitated it every class for a couple days. Then we blended it in a large kitchen blender and they created paper art on window screens (not the metal kind) and used a rolling pin to squeeze out the excess water. It was a blast, the kids loved it, and their art was fantastic!! Total win!! Thank you for doing this and reminding me of all that!
I love that you encourage moms to teach their children crafts and bond together. Every crafter should add that message to their videos. Shaping children’s minds in the arts is a good thing especially when they’re young. And your instructions are so clear and easy. As usual, you are the queen of great background music, lugs a smile on my face 😊!

@@Braedenfish thanks for pointing out your superior intellect. I'm truly sorry I missed the caption but at least you get to troll and comment. Good for you. We're all proud of you.
I use to do this mostly with the phone book & other pages 🎉
Great upcycle

Such a cute idea with Mother’s Day coming up quickly. A great craft to do with my grandkids ♥️
It really is!
Love your stuff!!!!! ❤
Love this. ❤
Wedding favors!
Excellent
Love this idea. I’m amazed how you collect paper bits and pieces.❤
It's not hard to collect pieces of paper when you paper craft or journaling. I've just started about 2 months ago and already have a box full😮😊
I'm so glad!
It’s a neat idea for lil gifts. You add them to a thrifted flower pot etc. 😊❤
Totally!
What a fantastic idea, my 3 year old granddaughter will love this! 😊
Wonderful!
What a great gift idea!
I think so too!
Always wanted to try this! Need to find a thrifted blender :D -Jane
You should!
Lovely idea!
Thank you! 😊
This i must try 😃
Lots of fun
Great gift idea. It would be fun to do with my grandkids
Yes!
I hit the Like button
Have you tried using a salad spinner to help get the water out?
Have you tested whether the flowers would sprout?
Yes they do
Can make a necklace out of that??
No it wouldn’t stand up well
@@OurUpcycledLife just wondering and thanks
I’m wondering if, and how, the cardboard type egg cartons would work for this type of project? Any thoughts?
Yes would work great
❤❤

Glad you enjoyed
What do you do with the seed wraps? Do you plant them or just display them?
Plant
What do you, or the person receiving this, do with it? Do you plant it and get flowers? If so, looks like a super cool idea
Yes exactly
This was great that you asked bc I honestly didn't think of that 😂 duh but it wasn't said. I even wondered why the tag said seeds 😂😂
Cute question😂.... it is called PLANTABLE seed paper.... which truly explains everything😂 I think I will def do this for a baby shower favor! TSMFS❤

Always remove jewelry. Paper contains some acids and can damage stones or metal.
We call them seed bombs.

Great idea!
