You can’t say no to a dress until you try it on. The brides who dismiss dresses for how they look on a hanger are the ones who don’t find their dress.
She could have learned to sew and made her own as my grandmother, my mother, and I each did. We got EXACTLY what we wanted and a custom fit.
You are so right! You must try it on!
unless you know it's just something that is totally opposite of hat you want. Like if you want understated and conservative, the dress the second bride bought would not be it.
Agree! There's been dozens of things that I've loved but when I tried them on hated them. Vice versa also.
@gayle2276 With all due respect, consider that, when you shop for clothes (and with very few exceptions), you haven't made an appointment for Target or Macys or whatever. Bridal salons are in the business of profit, not pandering. If you're going to be finicky, make a double appointment. Provide advance photos of the kind of dress you've dreamt of and add a SHORT list of what you don't want. Keep in mind that they've been advising clients for far longer than you've been engaged. Trust their judgment, be kind and respectful. Otherwise, you'll end up with something you won't like, they'll feel they've not done their best, and everybody loses in the end.
I just love the look of exasperation that Antonella gets on her face when she’s frustrated. She just can’t hide it. 😂❤
She is too impatient and sometimes comes across as rude.
I actually don't like it. I think it's kind of unprofessional. She has no patience. The girl hadn't even put one gown on and the consultant was already getting irritated with her. I don't think the bride needs more pressure put it on her by the consultants attitude
@@Justicia007because she was rejecting them before even trying them on! No duh she’s impatient with her! lol
@@thehungrygoldfish It really doesn't matter. She's being paid (no duh) to be a gracious consultant and that is not the way she was acting. We all know brides can be difficult they can make snap decisions, they can refuse to try on gowns and reject them prior to, But it's possible to still be gracious to them and not roll your eyes to the camera constantly. Unprofessional. Randy wouldn't be caught doing that.
@@Justicia007 Eh, you can only be so nice to someone who is being difficult and unreasonable. If you’re literally rejecting everything and refusing to try anything on, then it makes it make very difficult to help you. Antonella can’t make your dream dress from scratch in 2 hours using scrap material from alterations. She can only work with what she has.
The first bride needed to try the ones they brought in on. How many times have brides put a dress on they didn't think they would like it, and they fall in love with it. She thinks she know exactly what she wants, but she actually doesn't.
I agree. I don't think she knows what she wants. Randy said it - knowing what you want can be a good thing, but not being able to be a bit flexible about it can result in disaster.
@@aec9174 there isn't a disaster. She just didn't buy a dress. she knows what she wants. she doesn't need to be flexible, she just needs a seamstress.
She knows exactly what she wants. For $4,500 she could get it custom made.
Exactly what I was thinking.
I guarantee she could design it herself and she still won’t like it.
@@HeronCoyote1234 why do you say this? she had a picture of the dress she wanted. they didn't have something quite like it.
Pick 1 or go home
For $4,500 you won’t be able to get a custom made dress. It’s just the cost of an average dress at Kleinfields and not even counting alterations.
If you’re that picky - get a dress made for you and get exactly what you want!!
You betcha, my thoughts exactly.
doesn't hurt to check if a store has it first.
There is nothing wrong with knowing what you want.....being unrealistic and unwilling to admit that you may have to tweek your dream to get a fabulous dress is just being a brat.
Exactly! She is just a spoiled brat that is too ideal.
It's called Spoiled
Yea, verily.
she has 4500$. why would you need to tweak your dream at all? if they don't have it at the store she can get it made. I wouldn't spend that much on something that wasn't right...
@mai_komagata For $4500 and a sewing machine, you can buy a LOT of silk (not polyester) and create the gown of your dreams, the veil, garter, money bag, a reticule, a Bible cover, a replica doll dress and have enough left over to save to make a blessing/christening gown for your future children. I'd be surprised if the cost of your gown, in total, was $2250. Good quality pure silk peau de soie costs about $80 per yard or less, depending on where you buy it. Even if you needed ten yards, that's still only $800.
The first bride’s joylessness is grating. It’s one thing to be picky, it’s another to have not one spark of happiness in a situation where everyone is trying hard to please you. This should be a fun day whether you get a dress or not. This girl needs to learn some gratitude and to smile!
Exactly! So well put @Alrelda
No. Her personality is hers. She doesn't need to pretend for anybody. And it would not be a fun day for everybody.. no such thing.
@@Nadia..JBut why wouldn’t you be happy on the day you are choosing your wedding dress?
I think there’s absolutely nothing wrong with knowing exactly what you want. Unfortunately, that can mean it not existing, or not being able to find it, which means thinking about going custom. In some cases, that really is the only way to get exactly what you want.
Considering how much these brides are willing to spend to get their 'perfect' dress, I'm surprised more don't do that. You want something that specific, get a dressmaker. I don't see how it could possibly cost more.
Often that cannot happen if a person does not have access to the funds, seamstresses, and access to materials for what they want as well.
It seems to me that instead of looking at what she likes in each dress, she starts by looking for things she doesn’t like and then dismisses the dresses without even trying them on. It must be so frustrating for the consultants!
It must be even more frustrating for her husband to be…. Imagine being stuck with a person of this character for the rest of your life
Good grief. If a dress had a feature I didn't like, I would move to the next as well. And I couldn't care less about the consultants.
The second bride looks amazing, I love it.
This bride got on my nerves. She has no idea what she wants.
My opinion;. ALOT of these brides just want to be on television. For what ever reason(discounts---whatever?!!). ..the behavior shown and tolerated is horrendous. Not all are like that I know....but
The saleswoman got on my nerves. She sees a few dresses, doesn't want any of them and that is just fine. I would be the same - I would know what I like and what I don't.
women like this need to go to a seamstress and have what they want custom made for them with the exact materials and adornments that they want. but i have a feeling this bride still wouldn't be happy.
Yes she seems like she is one of those people that can suck the joy out of everything….I try to avoid those people like the plague. Life is too short.
Kudos to everyone that helped create that customized gown
Beautiful
Bride #2 is absolutely gorgeous. What stunning bride she will be. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness & wonderful memories.
The second bride's dress and attitude was gorgeous
The second bride dress is beautiful!!
SO SO many brides on ALL versions of SYTTD absolutely fall in love with gowns they didn't love seeing them on the hangers once they try them on. You have to trust the consultants and you will probably find your dream dress.
I could tell Antonella was getting frustrated with the first bride.....can't really blame Antonella either.
These programmes HAVE to be over ten years old...... But I still love them !
they are haha! theyre just reposting them
You have to pay for the new ones.
I can tell by randys hair color. Hes full gray now. (Not a bad thing hes aged like fine wine❤)
I also posted a comment talking about the bride and some of her party have those piecey/chunky highlights from the early 2000s 😂
At times I wonder how the brides are doing now. Perhaps with many kids.
The last bride and dress both are so beautiful ohmygosh
Took my breath away for a sec ngl
Girl, bye. Don't let the door hit you on the way out!
If a bride cannot find a gown at Kleinfeld's, then she may not find a dress at all. That 1st bride was way too picky and didn't really know what she wanted. That's got to be difficult and frustrating for the employees trying to find her a gown.
That last satin dress looks so stunning on her
Katherine said no to too many dresses without trying them on.
If that bride would have let the consultants do their jobs and allow them some suggestions she may have found her dress. What a waste of time.
This bride…oh boy…she is a consultants nightmare
I think the first bride needed to try on something completely out of the box to make her think. Everything was same same
What an unpleasant bride. You must trust your consultant because they know what the dresses look like on.
She wants bespoke on an off-the-rack budget.
if $4500 is an "off the rack budget" what do you call my $125 dress?
@dietotaku Thrift Shop Mark-Down. Bridal dresses can cost a lot more than $4500. Bespoke, as in royal weddings, can cost £250,000 as Meghan Markle's reportedly did.
@@dietotakuThen either you bought it on clearance at David’s bridal or similar, used, it’s a non traditional dress from a store like Macys or forever 21 or you bought it 45 years ago.
@@thehungrygoldfish Yea, verily.
If I wasn’t sure what I wanted in a wedding dress, I certainly would have trusted Antonella and Randy to find something SPECTACULAR!!! They KNOW what they are doing!!! I’m thinking she just wanted to try on as many dresses as she could within her appointment time. I would have to say that I feel sorry for the next bridal consultant that she goes to. Maybe it is time to have something custom made. That way if it doesn’t turn out ‘perfect’ there is no one to blame except for herself.
Yes, I got the feeling she just wanted to be on the show but not have to pay for a gown a Kleinfelds. She seemed pleased with herself to be making the staff run around for her.
This first bride is pretty unpleasant and very difficult. I’d bet they were happy when she left.
She could've been a little more open minded and tried another silhouette. You never know till you try it on
Antonella wasn't feeling it today
She hasn't been feeling it a lot lately
She had a lot of patience with this lady
She looked like she wanted to beat up that bride 😅
@@annieannie2887 nah, her attitude sucked.
She looked angry. This is unacceptable for a consultant((
They don’t have a drop waist sweetheart in lace under 4500 in the whole store? Come on!
This is a newer episode I think so I doubt they have a dress under 4500 in the whole store, given inflation and that the store has gained so much notoriety from the show.
That custom dress was EVERYTHING!! Wow, so Beautiful😮❤❤
1st bride didn’t exude any excitement looking for a dress. She didn’t seem happy. One can be picky, and still explore dresses without being so depressing.
Brides that are this specific need to just get something custom made by a tailor. I loved the first dress; very classic and fun.
Send her away to be somebody else’s problem 🤷🏼♀️ Onward to someone who you can help 😊
I did not reach the end of the video vut i feel like every dress she put in so far was lovely on her! I could imagine her with a veil and she would rock them!
When she said "I'm about to faint"
I was gonna pass out
Don't play like that!
Yeah, I felt annoyed. Is it really worth all that anxiety over a dress?
I don't know why everyone is so irritated at the first bride. Brides are allowed to be picky. Randy is always saying that you shouldn't buy a dress unless you're completely in love with it and it gives you that special feeling. So if she isn't satisfied with any of the 15 dresses they show her, and leaves without a dress, that's her own fault. Maybe she shouldn't be SO picky - but she's ALLOWED to be as picky as she wants, and if she still hasn't found the perfect dress by her wedding day, oh well. Eventually the time crunch will force her to get something.
because some people are too specific and hence unrealistic. The designers weren't reading your mind when they designed the dress. If you've tried on over 13 gowns- we only see a fraction of an hour long filming, where they usually try on twenty dresses or so- and aren't happy then you're being unrealistic and inflexible. You should just get something made so you can have exactly what you want.
Was surprised they didn't offer to do a mash-up for her by taking the best parts of two dresses and combining them..
Because she wasn't even making an effort. She wasn't even open to try them. She needs custom made. Even her family was over it.
But she didn't know if this ones she turned her nose up at by the look of how it looks on the hangers they always say try it on it looks different on the body vs the hangers
Also need to be willing to try other shapes
I can’t even watch it all. The bride gets on my nerves.
I think its great to know what you want. Then you should find the dress online to see what it costs and find somewhere to try it on. What you envision may not even look good on you. If you can't find an exact match, research what it would cost to have it made. If that is out of reach, then let the consultants help you find options that they think would meet some of your criteria and look good on you. They have dressed thousands of brides and probably would know what would suit you. Be more open.
How many brides have we seen who know exactly what they want to the point they have a photo of it, find exactly that dress, put it on and it's hideous on them? Lots of them. How many brides have tried on dresses they hate on the hanger, but reluctantly put them on and their perfect dress was one of those? Again, lots of them. That first bride only tried on a fraction of the selections the consultant and Randy brought to her and I bet the perfect dress for her was one of those she didn't even try on.
That mom❤❤❤ singing fr daughter❤❤😊
Does she really want to get married?
Maybe but she is being too ideal.
Adorable how Flore and the other lady were so enthralled, gorgeous bride and groom, and what a dress, spectacular !
“Knowing what you want as a bride can be a great thing.” 💀🤣 yeah I don’t think that shape was what she was looking for
That second chick doing her fitting. Absolutely beautiful. That might be the most gorgeous dress I’ve seen this entire show
The second bride is gorgeous in her gown.
I get the feeling that the family would have said a bin bag looked gorgeous by the end just so they could escape the torture!
The second bride's mom is so sweet. She said, "That's the most beautiful bride I've ever seen."
She deserves to have the feeling. But obviously for her that means it's time to look into a custom made dress.
2nd bride absolutely stunning 😊
That last bride truly looked like a princess. Not sure she'll be able to get closer than two feet to her groom, but that skirt is worth it.
The fact she said she and her fiancee were "infatuated" with one another is a hint at why she couldn’t choose a dress. I’m not sure she really wanted to get married.
When a bride comes in to try on dresses she should be told she is to try on EVERY silhouette. When she comes in with something stuck in her mind she is never prepared when she doesn’t find it…..chances are the silhouette is all wrong in her dream dress. Try. All. Silhouettes. On.
Exactly….. be willing to try on dresses outside of your thought-box if the other ones don’t turn out well for you…
I love this show and while cast and I know with editing we miss some things. But I feel like they missed the mark. She asked for a specific silhouette and the first dress they showed her wasn't that. They got her in the right silhouette and she said she didn't like beading. And they pull more dresses with beading and satin. It's one thing to be flexible. But what they were showing her was EXACTLY what she says she didn't like. She wanted a simple trumpet style dress
yeah i find it hard to believe that in the entirety of kleinfeld's, they don't have a lace fit & flare, unless they let pnina vajazzle every single one.
Exactly I felt bad for her, where were the dropwaist lace dresses, or did they not have those early 2000?
The mom of the last one. That was adorable.
From the beginning you are a very blessed pride to have both of your grandmother's there ❤❤❤❤❤❤. You went to them because they are professionals you go let them do their job. If you go if you go try on every thing they bring. You may fall in love with something you feel that moment in
I love Antoinella's attitude on this show... her and Randy or she and Randy, either way. They are a good pair to help find the right dress most of the time.
She and Randy. Why do people say her when they should say she?
@@joralemonvirgincreche ok. Joral. Now say that fast 3 times! 😄
Poor husbands 😂
omg lady at the end had GOOD taste, that's a beautiful dress and she looks perfect
I loved them all! ❤
Sorry, but I didn't like any of those dresses either!
I didn’t like any of those dresses, either; however, she could have been willing to try on dresses outside of her thought-box… A lot of times they end up liking the opposite of what they dreamed up in their head…
The second dress was GORGEOUS 🥰
The second bride!!!!! Omg I want it freaking gorgeous😍😩
Second bride looked stunning!!
This episode first aired like 10 years ago. Bridal fashion has changed alot. This was before the Boho bride style and in my mind, this is what she was envisioning. She was simply ahead of her time. The answer to this dilemna is, if even 10 or 20 years later she and her husband want a vow renewal, she can be the "bride" she originally envisioned. This happened to me. I loved my first dress but I wanted a feeling that didn't exist 20 years ago, the Gatsby bride. For my 20th vow renewal I found my art deco style dress. I wish her luck.
Love the one with tule at the bottom!
"NO RANDY." Hahahahahahah!
Bride doesn't settle, she's called picky. Bride does settle, everyone says, " you should never settle!"
Dress #2 was perfect!
@5 minutes in: Randy: "I'm dying... hahahaha" ( I'm paraphrasing )
I’ve noticed this assistant is always negative
Every one so critical but i wouldn't pay for something that i am not crazy about
That second dress was gorgeous.
I would’ve absolutely hated to have Antonella in this appointment. Not welcoming, patient, or understanding.
Learned a long time ago to shop with basics in mind but don’t picture in your mind what you want. It’s like hunting a unicorn, see what they have is what you pick from
If you pay 5k you should love it 😂
I paid 180 Irish pounds back in 1987 and I still love it 😊
The second bride totally made up for the first one.
Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't understand why the brides don't pick out the dresses themselves. Why waste time sitting and letting someone else do your job for you?
I loved the second girl haha 🤣🤍
The first bride seems fun. 🍋
To the 2nd bride - October 1st is a lucky day! My husband and I just hit 18 yrs and friends of our hit 23 yrs this year! Congrats to you both! Wishing you both all the best in the world!
Second bride 1st place dress 👗 gorgeous
Trying 12 dresses on is still a very low number
I thought this would help me to vision sg for myself since the bride looks like me in the thumbnail, but no luck😢😅
Everyone is shitting on the 1st bride, but honestly all the dresses they showed her were ugly as hell.....on the contrary the bride should either compromise on the shape because the drop waste looked horrible on her or get a customised dress made for her.... Wish we could get to see what she finally wore at her wedding!
The 2nd bride was looking stunning ... loved the princess ballgown dress on her....we need a complete video on her asap!
Yes. First bride is set on that style but doesn’t fit her figure cause it looks unbalanced and big bottom with a small chest.
Dresses 👗 don’t look the same on the hanger as they do on you should at least try
Did the first bride ever find a dress
The 2nd bride... the mum and aunt were definitely in shock when they saw the dress. Lol! It's pretty though.
Wrap in a paper bag with sparkle's should do for the first bride.
Trying something new isn’t giving up a part of yourself but having the chance to discover something beautiful about yourself.
The 1st bride didn’t even know what she wanted and she’ll never have the chance to discover her dream dress by rejecting all the “Professional” advice she could have had by just trying on their suggestions.
Tried to find a picture of the dress she finally got married in but no luck. I always wonder with these brides who have such a difficult time
I’ve No idea why I love these video. If it weren’t more about me than the bride, I’d’ve ditched a Loong time ago. 🙄😬Sooo glad I’m not Katherine’s husband! 😂
The Bride was right. The dress will be expensive and she must be delighted with it. Good for her that she was not browbeaten by her family or the assistants!
Sometimes while the bride is looking for a particular dress and doesn't find it. I actually see what she wants on a manikin in the background.
Who doesnt look at online catalogs. This has to be an ancient episode.
And theres maybe 10 fabrics used in bridal. You dont know what fabric you like 😂 bs. You were yoo lazy to do any research whatsoever
Gorgeous!!!!❤❤❤❤
