I feel like “low budget” dresses are sometimes nicer than the higher budget ranges. You can find a good amount of gorgeous dresses at that lower tier
Seems like to cost more they throw a bunch of bling and embroidery on it, and not always tastefully
yup. it really does feel like that the more videos I watch. Feels like you should always give the lower end and see what options they pull out, then mayyyyyybe if you don't like it raise the budget ever so slightly, but never go beyond 7k. There are only a handful of gowns I've seen on this show over 7k that were actually worth the price...
Exactly, Pnina Tornai dresses cost are crazy expensive but they look so trashy.
The first dress was the most romantic so I liked it the most.
A gift is not a gift if there are strings attached or the decision is made by the person writing the check.
The string was very much there…she didn’t give it before the bride tried on dresses but after she made it clear what she preferred. And a gift should not have any strings at all.
If so, then she should not have accepted her mom’s offer and just paid herself.
There's nothing called free lunch. No one expects you to open a pot farm from the money they gifted you. Kids and idiots think the way you do.
@@TrinhNguyen-sh4fjshe was definitely paying for her own dress to start, just say you wasn’t payin attention.
i liked the less expensive dress better. she had a glow in that one. the one she chose was almost identical to the one her mom said she looked like Big Bird in. also, the less expensive one matched the shoes better.
I love the dresses from the Australia show much better. They are less expensive more romantic and less tacky and revealing.
I think she made a choice based on her mother's like and not hers. Brides need to remember that it's their day and their opinion showed weigh more than anyone else.
True but they should pay themselves if really want to get what they wanted.
Right I actually liked the first dress she put on, and it really did go better with her shoes
Her bridesmaid that is named Nik was on Americas Next Top Model. She was 1 of the 2 finalists and she lost. I was rooting for her!
The prices goes up, the classiness goes down
Yes, they are still tasteful around 5000-7000, and from up there they are too grand.
@@Anna-fm7hhsome people want grand and thats okay, doesnt make it any less classy (Though I wont lie, I do not like the dress she chose in the end)
I loved the less expensive one more.
I found this episode sad. The bride is stunning and could rock anything, but looked so happy in the first dress. The mum was hard to read, but I felt she just wanted control and didn't look particularly happy with the second dress. The bride was trying so hard to please her, but I felt the mother was quite manipulative. I hope the wedding, and the marriage, go well.
Did Mom even crack a smile once? She looked like was watching her clothes dry at the laundromat. Super bored.
Even if my mom handed me a blank check, I'd feel guilty spending that much money on a dress
My mom recently told m me about how my sister spent $2000 on a dress that she was kinda hesitant about. But both my mom and my other sister could feel my dad's presence there saying to them that that dress was the one he wanted her to wear. In that case, I would definitely spend that much money for the dress, other than that, nope
I agree and I still find it ridiculous to spend so much on a dress you will wear only once.
Ditto…I keep thinking about what you could do with that…there’s so much hunger in this country.
Omg yes. My mom gave me 500 billion dollars but I couldn’t accept it so I just gave it to the local orphanage. Omgz
Your mother should have just kept the check, and put down on a home instead for you.
I agree and it still astonishes me on how much they would spend on a dress.
Yup that is ridiculous. Even if i could afford 10k for a dress, id rather it be used on something a lot better like the down payment for a home or a vehicle. Like gracious!@TrinhNguyen-sh4fj
Mum didn’t want to help, she wanted control.
That looked more like a nervous smile on her moms face instead of an exited happy look. Its was more like an "Oh shit" I'm in trouble now look. LOL
Is it just me, or every time I see Diane is the consultant it means an Unlimited budget? 😁 Is she the in-store expert on couture gowns? 🤔
She's so gorgeous I feel like there could've been so many better options without doubling the budget. She could've pulled off a potato sack
She looks fabulous in the dress she chose! Most people would not be able to rock a dress like that!
mum is sure hard to read .. while what she did was a wonderful gesture sometimes I wonder if style goes out the window with more money . Hope she had a wonderful wedding ✨💚
To me it came of as kinda manipulative, so mom would get what she wanted and not the bride.
Her moms behavior and body language screamed manipulation and doing nice favors with strings attached
how the bridal consultant can't wait to get her back into it and ask! High commish...
Watching this and wondering how many years that mother saved her pennies to be able to do this for her daughter.
Probably many years, given that she worked as a nurse's aide at a home health care agency.
Bridesmaids Nik - ANTM!!! Was looking at her thinking 🤔 I’ve seen her before
Honest and brutal are not really the same.
She looked beautiful in both of her final choices. Even though I loved the elegant soft looking gown that was $2,500, the second gown was fashion forward. You have to go with what seems right.
I think mum was under something she hated the big bird dress and then she loved a similar dress and said it’s cheap. She didn’t even seemed happy.
This woman would look stunning in anything. 🎉🎉🎉
I've noticed anything where Diane is the consultant, the dresses are hideous and overpriced. If I was going to Kleinfield and got her as a consultant I would be like no I want someone else
I think that she chose the more expensive dress because her mother liked it. I actually think that she had her heart set on the less expensive one that her mother didn't like. Sad that she spent so much money on a dress just to please her mother.
Sorry, It was cause she got greedy. She didn’t care a dime about her mother or sister opinion and then she just wanted to “ please” her mother in those very expensive dresses. Nope.
I loved the first dress
I just love watching this say yes to the dress show its a very interesting funny loving show to watch when you are bored❤🎉
I have seen dress number 2 more than any other dress on this show! 😂
OMG... I know its the bride's day for the dress picking... but dayum... NIK is so beautiful!!! Really wish she would've won here season of ANTM :)
Even if her Mom gave a blank cheque.. she still gives a horror vibe..
Hope the wedding goes wonderful for the bride ❤️
It should as the dress will not affect it much since most people can careless what the bride wears unless it is so strange.
@@TrinhNguyen-sh4fj A wedding dress has nothing to do with the guests. It's about the bride looking and feeling her most beautiful on her special day for herself and for the person she is going to marry.
@@mcvenne8935this would have been true if the bride wasn't cry for a "fashion forward" dress and looking at her friends for validation. Clearly, it's what others say, rather than what she says or thinks, she's just a follower
why wait til you are in the store to pull, heres. a blank cheque prank? felt a little calculated and controlling.
Mom looked mediocre happy
This is exactly the type of thing my mother would pull lol. Offer to pay for it so she could pick out what she wanted. That’s why I’m gonna pay for everything myself and not bring her shopping with me for anything for my wedding.
I liked the first dress
just realized the bridesmaid is Nik from America's Next Top model! I loved her season, wish she won!
I was scrolling through the comments to see if I was seeing things! Thank you for validating me haha
Amazing how many times the very expensive dresses don't look as nice or classy as some more reasonably priced ones 😬
Smh, the first dress was the most beautiful 😍 with some added bling 🤌🏽
I wish they would tell you who the designers are for each dress. And which designer's dress she picked, and the price. This was a confusing episode.
I picked out my dress all alone. Never considered ever taking money from my parents. I budget shopped out of season when dresses were on clearance. So in 1975 I bought an $80 dress. No regrets and it been in a box for over 48 years. I think it was a good choice. Someday I'll add up all the receipts to see what I paid for my wedding. My mom paid for a cake and rented decorations. The photographer ate most of the cashews. Most weddings were not as extravagant as today.
Me too. I was lucky enough to be in another country so we could do whatever we liked without any family pressure. I had a beautiful dress made, we went to a nice restaurant for a meal and had a big, self-catered party in the evening. Best wedding I ever went to!
Congrats I guess, $80 wouldn’t even buy a wearable dress on Shein these days.😂
Omg Nikki from ANTM!! She was and is still so damn stunning!!!! 😍😍😍
That mom be playing games --and then she ended up with a huge bill
Mom emotionally blackmailed her with the blank check. How fun.
The bride was proud to share she was paying for the dress, herself. Mama took that away from her.
Its more of bribing. I'll give you this so you do what I want. Blackmailing is you did this and you don't do what I say I will expose this information I have. Both are really bad.
Just because your mom gives you a blank check doesn’t mean you need to go over board
I liked dress #1 … haven’t liked 2 through 4
Brides maid was on antm so cool!
Dianne has such a beautiful and classy look.
I feel mom is manipulating the dress appointment.
Nik is a legend
Her mum didn't look particularly happy...😢
Oooh the bridesmaid Nik is from ANTM cycle 5! 😅✨
I just realized...is that Nik from ANTM? The friend of the bride?
That’s Nik Pace at 2:51! She was the runner-up on Cycle 5 of America’s Next Top Model!
They married in 2011, there's a piece in the NYT. But did she wear the dress?
The price goes up and the taste goes down. Wild
Dress #1 (my choice): mom's comment "UG-ly" is uncalled for - she could/should have said that "[she] didn't care for it" ["because _____."} and stopped there. The way that she did express herself undermined the bride's feelings & comments. Dress #2 is wearing her and is gaudy & ostentatious, yet mom likes it. And the body language with "I just wanted to help" when she gives her daughter the blank check clearly indicates "I want to control your choice" rather than being a "nice gesture." At that point, it was almost guaranteed to be a Pnina (which I hate), so I stopped watching.
No Grandma Table Cloth..
No Curtains..
No Big Bird.,
No. Bedsheet.,
What left???❤️
I think the first girl’s friend - the lighter one sitting on the couch - was actually on ANTM. Can’t remember her name but definitely remember her face
Her mom is so underwhelmed..
That was very sweet.
The 1st one looked cheap. The one she picked will be memorable and gorgeous in pictures.
Her mother has bad taste. And is totally weird. The first dress was the best.
I was not a fan of either dress 😂but I’m super fussy when it comes to wedding dresses
All the dresses where beautiful
Her bridesmaid Nik was on America’s Next Top Model.
Mom gave her the blank check to make her feel guilty and make her more inclined to listen to mom's opinion.
It definitely screams manipulative with the timing but I'm sure the show played a factor somehow. Something stinks about this, I won't lie. 🤷
That is so unfair. We have no idea whether this is the case or not. Give the mother the benefit of the doubt. She is only a nurse's aide, doesn't make a lot of money. A blank check was a huge deal.
@@joralemonvirgincrecheI agree. People are projecting their own stories as if they are fact.
Just realized the bride’s friend is Nik from ATNM. She was the second runner up competing against Nicole.
"This feels like a party dress." What the hell kind of parties do you get invited to?
Her friend Nik was on ANTM Cycle 4....
That blank check could be used elsewhere in the wedding expenses. I would still buy the dress I adore and buy it myself. I would want my mother to like my dress but at the end of the day I would want to feel confident and happy walking to my husbands side.
That girl did not like the first dress, mom knew that and wanted her daughter to have the options that she deserved😊
The mom ruined everything
Nik is from cycle 5 of ANTM
the friend nicki was in america's next top model wasn't she ?
El primero era hermoso, los demás no 😢😢😢
If anyone here ever watched *Americas Next Top Model* would you agree her bridesmaid Nik looks so much like Nik from Cycle 5*
@@nikkijones5648that’s why I commented it is her once I saw her last name…
I’m pretty sure her bridesmaid Nick was on America’s Next Top Model.
Mom has kind of a creepy vibe -- she's so flat and emotionless. Wonder if she's always been so depressed, and how that affected her kids growing up?
You're being cruel. You have no idea about someone's life from 4 minutes of screen time.
@joralemonvirgincreche And you know even less about me and my motivations after reading a 27 word comment. Mental health issues are real, and they don't go away just because people are more comfortable not acknowledging them. Depression impacts entire families, and treatment is vital -- if not for the sake of the depressed person, for the sake of their spouse and children. I apologize for using the word 'creepy, ' that's not helpful in this discussion, but I stand by my comment -- the mother displays a flat affect. It may only be a few minutes on our screens, but the production crew filmed hours of footage -- you think they deliberately only showed the moments mom was low emotion? They deliberately chose not to include a single smile from mom? Not likely.
💯 she seems to be under meds or something. Definitely not all right there.
And one of the entourage is an America's Next Top Model runner-up? Is that Nik from cycle 5?
Idk it felt like a really controlling gesture to me. Maybe because my mom is a narcissist I feel like I can detect something ulterior but…idk
I would never purchase a dress that is more money than I've paid for cars I've had.Could never justify that
she settled 😢 I wish the consultant had advised her to wait and come back another day
@@mariesmith1616While Diane does have the tendency to pull over budget dresses, she is always nice and friendly no matter what the budget. Diane has been great with low budget brides.
Unpopular opinion. I love the dress she chose regardless of price and she'll stand out beautifully in that huge cathedral.
The 1st dress looks best on her. The last dress (mom's choice) looks cheap.
HOLY SHIT HER BRIDESMAID IS NIK PACE FROM AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL
Bride didn't seem touched or emotional when her mom handed her the gift. Seemed cold.
I noticed also the mom's reaction to the dresses were also emotionless.
I would rather go by myself and take advice from Kleinfeld.
Less on the dress allows for a much longer honeymoon, nicer places
First bride could have picked 2, 1 for her and 1 for mom lol
I really liked her first dress. It was pretty, timeless, and put more focus on her rather than the dress.
She should’ve respectfully returned the blank cheque and just gone for the first dress.
Her mom would have to deal with it and put her money elsewhere if she wanted to help her with the finances for the wedding.
Mix children are often the most beautiful. Lovely bride. Her friends are so pretty also.
In my wildest imagination I can’t see paying $12k for a dress, but I guess that’s just me showing my age and financial bracket.
I didn't know that Mrs. Trenchbowl had a daughter 😂😂😂
Money is power.
Of course Dianne said to go with the $9300 dress….
The consultant looks a lot like sierra from money heist
These comments are so negative…
1. You don’t have to spend that much on a dress, live your own life. For people that watch a luxury wedding dress tv show i cant believe how many of yall are shaming her for buying an expensive dress 😆
2. The bride liked the dress thats all that matters
Did she though? I think she was trying to please her mother and her mother gave her a blank check so she could control what she wore. The mother acted like she didn't even want to be there, hardly any emotion from her. Weird episode. The bride like the first one.
