The first bride broke my heart. How sad that such a beautiful woman with such a lovely figure would pick herself apart like that. I hope she can see that she's just perfect the way she is.
She has such a nice figure I don’t get where she sees herself big. She needs to let go of all that insecurity because she has nothing to be insecure about.
She stated at the beginning that she is a Virgo. Being one myself, we have a tendency to overthink everything. Sadly we are so much harder on ourselves, than most people realize. I know that Virgos are just astrological sign blah blah blah, but at the same time, it kinda makes sense in certain situations. Trying to be perfect is the whole goal of a Virgo, or at least one of them.
I once read a research paper about body confidence in men vs. women.
The research suggested that (medically) overweight men have the same amount of body confidence as women that are considered in the ideal weight range! 😢😮
Research body dismorphia. Its truly a sad thing people deal with. Folks can see u one way and you will swear its completely the opposite
This videos are at least a decade old, and the pressure to have a flat stomach while using super low rise jeans was really high, coming from everywhere even implicitly. So i get what she means, it was just part of the conversation back then 🤷♀️ a millennial thing i guess
I love her friend - his dress was so much nicer than what the shop assistant selected. With his sweet personality, he would make a lot of brides happy if he went to work for Kleinfelds. What a great eye for fashion - fabulous!
The consultant pulled dresses the bride said she wanted. Without beading. That is why Diane tried all the styles the bride told her to try first. I don't understand why this was a bad consultation.
But he also knows his friend better so he would know what would look good on her and flatter her based off her her personal likes, tastes and insecurities
Of course, he definitely know his friends taste better than a complete stranger who only can go after what the bride is requesting and/or wishes. Even with experience, you wouldn’t be able to figure all brides out haha
I need a friend like this guy! He immediately found the right gown but didn't impose his opinion on the bride. What a sweet and supportive entourage! And the bride is beautiful and nice too!
He was super sweet about about it too, not pushy about about and it ended up looking stunning on her
There is hardly a ounce of fat on her lol 😂 she’s overthinking it, she’s gorgeous!!! Inside and out! But Neil nailed it on the head with that dress! He made her step out of her comfort zone giving her the wow factor she was looking for!
She is gorgeous 😍 but would be even better without the disgusting lipstick 🤮
She probably had some weight issues as a kid or had been constantly told she was fat by someone
What I love about her friend is he's the bride's fashion guru but unlike the other fashion gurus I've seen brides bring, he's not pushy or overbearing, and his choice of dress was absolutely perfect! She looked beautiful in that.
Her friend is fantastic. Bride tends to focus on negative things that mostly don't exist.
Shout out to the future mother-in-law when asked if her son/the future groom would like the dress she says 'I think she could wear anything and she'd love it'. She also reaches over to the bride's mom with a 'isn't our girl wonderful' arm pat/stroke after the bride poses with the veil.
Overall this is a wonderful entourage. I wish this version of this show would have more of these types of supportive entourages and less of the contrived drama created from the producers forcing the brides to bring buttholes to the fitting.
Why is no one talking about the second bride on the video!? She look amazing on her dress and her family and wedding seemed lovely :) Nice to see normal real people in the old episodes
She is an adorable, down to earth bride. Good on her for not wanting to wear Spanx and feel like a sausage in a casing on her wedding day.
well there's no reason for her to wear Spanx, she doesn't have an once of fat on her😂
Her best friend has such good taste he picked out a beautiful beautiful dress for her and I'm glad she loved it
And even though it was beading, it wasn't *heavy* beading, it was tasteful and blended beading rather than huge crystals. He chose perfectly!
One of the first friends that picked really well. That's a good friend.
Neil was spot on with this dress. It was perfect for the bride. So happy for her!
It's so wonderful for somebody to have a friend that knows you more than yourself and with all the good intentions makes you try new things
I love both the dresses. Especially the second bride, she is beautiful and looked stunning!
I do love both brides and there sweet entourage. Such a supportive and understanding people.
Even though the first bride shocked herself by liking the beading, I think she thought a lot about what style she would feel comfortable in during the wedding day.
And I am glad that she was open to trying on something she specifically told Diane not to pull. This is why sometimes we, as viewers, need to be more understanding of how the consultants do their jobs or what the entourage likes. Sometimes the consultants or the entourage CAN show the brides dresses that they will love.
I'm so easily pleased. So excited to hear mum-in-law's Aussie accent I hardly noticed the dress or the bride. 🤣🇦🇺
Love the moments when the least expected gowns choose the brides especially when they feel indecisive about their individual interests in what they're looking for. The brides in this video look phenomenal in their final choices 🥰
I have the same issue as the first bride in that I have a small waist and am more pear-shaped, so I feel self-conscious about my mid-section. It was lovely to see her in a dress that concealed that area and made her feel beautiful and self-confident.
Nothing wrong with being near shaped. It's so beautiful to see such feminine curves.
That friend has amazing taste and incredible eye for style. He should totally work in fashion
$5600 for that second gown is an insult. A plain, very basic, and common gown for that price just because of the name attached to it? I feel like Pnina Tornai is so full of herself, as most designers are. Her gowns are only SOMETIMES beautiful, but always overpriced. I remember this one episode where the bride's family picked out a gown for her and didn't look at the price before the bride tried it on. She absolutely fell in love with it, but when she saw the price (well over her budget), the bride nearly collapsed and broke into tears. Randy went to talk to Pnina and when he told her that the bride couldn't pay that price, Pnina actually said, "Tell her to find the money. I'm worth it." I was so disgusted that she would say that. Needless to say, the bride left empty-handed.
David’s Bridal sells the same gowns for way less lol. I completely agree with you. In the fall I think they go on sale for $100 each. I found my perfect dress with tons of beading and long train. Very detailed dress and stunningly gorgeous for only $800. I’m sure it would be $10,000 or more there.
@@cherylb_88 or sure it would be $10k because of the experience of shopping at Kleinfeld's. But the experience is not worth the money and the debt incurred because of it.
There is NOTHING clever about spending big money on a wear once dress.
@@beckyy584 Exactly, my point. Pnina chooses the price and she said that about the bride.
1st bride "my fat...my big hips" Darlin if you were smaller you would just disappear. What would your Liam have to hold on to? You make a stunning bride in Neal's choice
2nd Jen your dress fits your body & especially your personality.
Best wishes to both.
You sound like a horrible person. We all have our insecurities, and saying things like "you would just disappear" is rude. One doesn't need to be overweight to have pockets of fat they don't like, and her body is more than something for "her Liam" to "hold on to".
@@AkireMaru having fat on the lower belly like she has doesn't mean she is saying she's fat. She's just uncomfortable with attention being drawn there. Having fat=/=being fat. If other women have issues, that's for them to deal with. She shouldn't have to lie about her insecurities to make someone else feel better.
@@beltlevel true, don’t lie about your insecurities, but don’t parade things around that you know aren’t really a problem in front of people who clearly have that problem more than you. You don’t have to say everything that comes to mind or relieve your inner burdens on everyone…that’s called “maturity”. If I’m filthy rich, I’m not going to start talking about how broke I am and how I could only afford 5 Gucci bags instead of 6, in front of an aunt living on welfare.
If I have really long hair, but I cut it to bra-strap length, I’m not going to talk about how much I hate my hair in front of a bald chemo patient woman.
It’s an undercover flex, brag, etc. and super passive aggressive. I’ve seen brides with true weight insecurities and it brings them to tears. She just wants everyone to tell her how skinny she is.
I think she has body dismorphia. Your thoughts are correct and not rude.
I know her friend picked this particular dress, but I love Diane as a consultant! She is so knowledgeable about bridal! Her “pulls” are typically on point!
When looking for a dress, it's so important to keep an open mind. Try different cuts, different colors, fabric, beading, and so on. By all means, try on your dream dress, but keep an open mind that something else might suit you better. Even some of the ugliest dresses on the rack, can look fantastic on you, look like it was designed just for you. I know this from personal experience. When I was looking for a dress to attend a wedding, I had gained a ton of weight due to health issues. I had tried on over two dozen dresses, all looked beautiful on their hangers, but they all looked ridiculous on me. My last option of a dress in my size to try on looked absolutely hideous on the hanger. Tried it on, and it was a transformation. It not only looked good on me, but boosted my confidence, because I looked good on it. I felt good in it. When I showed the dress on the hanger, my MIL wasn't impressed, but when I tried it on, her jaw dropped. She had asked me if I was playing a joke on her, and then asked me if that was the same dress I just showed her, because she didn't think anywhere in hell that thing was going to look good on anybody. LOL
Just looked it up.. he plays for the white Sox sox and they are still married!
@@nate2759 She did. I went to high school with her and am friends with her on facebook.
The 2nd bride. So happy to see the family so supportive and loving the dress for her. Happy fr her. Awwwwwwwww 🥰
she looks amasing in her friends picked dress. Stunning on her
The third one was awesome, but one thing I feel no bride considers when shopping for a gown and picking one out is what happens in wearing it all night AFTER the walk down the aisle which is the easiest part. When picking a gown, it's so easy to get caught up in the moment and miss the little details that they'll find out the hard way during the reception. Things like a strapless gown they constantly have to lift, or sleeves that prevent them from raising their arms, or skirts that they either have to spend all night lifting to walk and not trip over, or skirts that are so big that even bustled they are uncomfortable to sit in, or like the weight of a dress. There's also how scratchy certain materials can become as the night goes on, or how uncomfortable it will be to sit and move around in a tight gown all night. There is so much to think about beyond that first time you try a beautiful gown on.
This comment should be pinned! Excellent and things to remember as I’m shopping
Honestly, every time I see the bride pick a long dress that brushes the ground I really question it, it will get dirty. Especially if the wedding is outdoors. I know some people tend to change their dress for the reception, or get a wedding dress with a removable skirt so its shorter. Oh! And mermaid dress especially seem weird because I feel it would be hard to walk in. Never worn one so maybe its easier then it looks. This is why when I eventually get married I'm going with a shorter dress, not too short but maybe ankle length just so its long, but not annoying. Plus it would be much cheaper.
The dress is beautiful but very fitted past her hips. How does one sit, or use the ladies' room???
@@fidelianerina I've been a ballroom/Latin/swing dancer for a long time. The groom was not a dancer, but I invited my dance partner and spent much of the reception dancing with him (agreed to by the groom). Pre-arranged: I had the train cut off during alterations - did not affect the look of the gown.
@@kathyk2777 With help. Here's the thing: if you need help going to the bathroom because of the dress choice, it's a bad choice for the bride and those who have to help her.
I am amazed at their friendship and how well he clearly knew her. Like more than she new herself lol.and him already in tears when you hadn't tried a damn thing on? Lmao. You definitely brought your best friend to that appointment.
When she says “cover my fat” and “I’m hippy”, I had to double take. What???
She likely doesn't have strong belly muscles, which cause her to have a small pooch. It would be more noticeable to her, looking down, than to onlookers who are looking straight forward.
I love when there’s a bonus bride at the end of the clip :)
why are the brides to be allowed to press their hands down the front of the gowns when trying them on. hands are naturally greasy and you would be surprised how much skin residue is deposited on fabric surfaces. White dresses are very susceptible to staining generally and stroking your stomach and your sides while admiring yourself doesn't do the dress any good.
The final dress looks stunning on her! Good call best friend!
That is a stunning dress!!! I saw another bride also choosing that same dress it’s definitely a wow factor
I’m already annoyed by the 1st bride. Sorry, not sorry
This beautiful episode made me cry so bad. Such a lovely, happy family. I’m glad they showed a part of the party/ceremony too.
What does your zodiac sign have to do with the kind of wedding dress you pick?! 😂😂😂
That'd be like me saying, "well I'm a Gemini so I'd like two gowns. One for me and one for my twin." 😂
Very rarely say wow out loud while watching the show but that dress that her front picked left me talking to myself and wowing 😍
I love that her friend picked it. ♥️
when a bride says no "poof", or too much focus on the tummy, I always think A-line. But so many stylists don't pull that style, which I think is very complimentary to a lot of figure types.
For once, the fashionista friend is on the money.
Just a reminder for me to keep an open mind when I go shopping for mine
Neil is the perfect assistant! He cares for her feelings and emotions. Give that man a job!
Trying something you wouldn't usually go for is always a good idea; you'll either feel more confident that it really isn't for you or be pleasantly surprised. Either way it's a win.
The MIL though, "I think she could wear anything and he'd love it," That's sweet.
Her friend picked the most gorgeous dress! She looks stunning!!!
When the second bride stretched her arms out to hug her mommy!!! *tears*
lol..."I'm a virgo". I guess other signs don't mind getting a dress they don't like.
This bride does not have any problem areas in her body! I hope someday she realizes it! She looked beautiful in her gown!
I did the same thing. Shocked myself with my dress. Always try on different styles.
I enjoy watching this show, brides picking out there gowns.
I've been to many weddings over the years and quite often I've looked at the brides and thought what were you thinking when you chose this dress.
These days there's so many to choose from.
Ohhh she looks just beautiful in that dress..her best friend nailed it..
I think it’s such a shame that she is so body conscious, she has a lovely figure, why do women do that to themselves.
Sad thing is when she gets older and her body changes, as most do, she will look back and think I had a beautiful body. Why was I so critical ?
We are trained by the culture from babyhood. By the time we're 2, babyfat must be gone, or else. It's sad isn't it?
@@marybethhanifin3683 that’s very true because that has happened to me more times than I can count.
If she says "problem area" one more time I'm going to throw up.
He really did an excellent job choosing her best friends dress. And it really look good on her especially the body type she has. Like what my heart is beating even more I’m happy that my cousins getting married. But I’m worried that she’s going to have my dream dress. And then when I get married I don’t want to feel like I’m copying her .
I know this is 5 months old, but maybe when you get married your style will change, and even if it doesn’t, don’t worry about copying, there are so many brides that have similar dress styles. You are going to look beautiful regardless of what dress you choose!
She looked stunning in that beaded dress. Her body was perfect for it
Even though I'm not a fan of the mermaid style, I love the whimsical swirl design on it
The 1st brides friend Neil is the BEST! ❤️
Wow, she looks amazing and her figure is gorgeous, she has no need to be worrying. She'll be a beautiful bride. Good eye from her friend.
They got married in 2013. The dress she chose looks absolutely fabulous on her!!! They are still together. No children that I was able to find. He was diagnosed with cancer this past January and was declared cancer free in April.
The look of sadness in her friend’s eyes says a lot.
Mark Zinio is a fabulous designer.
I agree. His dresses are always figure flattering. They also are so glamorous. So with brides looking for this style, they always look good in a Mark Zuninno.
The first brides dress was WOW 😍
I was watching the dress and the best friend's reaction and keen eye to everything. ❤
problem area? girl you look damn good!
Her problem area is laughable. She's perfect.
Gorgeous dress!!! Supportive family and friends!!! Neil picked a winner!
Once the first bride's friend helped her see that beading could be so stunning, I wish she had been shown a few more designs to try on. Not for her so much- her friend's pick is perfect for her, but... $8k to spend? On a beaded wedding gown?🫴💕 *That's* the episode I'm wanting to see! 😁👍
Being a Virgo, unfortunately, this is just how we are. We have a VERY critical eye.
great best friend!! Wow he really has an eye for the right dress.
Finally! A bride wants comfort
"I'm a Virgo~" Threw me off. xD
I feel like the strapless mermaid gowns with ruching aren't flattering on anyone, and honestly, they are so overly used that they've become the predictable gown.
The 1st bride looks stunning in that dress. Girl you have the perfect body and you are very beautiful 😍 Please hire your friend as your stylist 😆 He picked the dress that was made for you
She said "I'm a virgo" and I knew what she wanted bc I want the same ~ another perfectionist virgo
“I’m a Virgo so…” 😂 So you believe all babies born in a hospital during the same month come out with the same personality? I just can’t with horoscopes 🤦🏼♀️
"Fashion Guru" was a well-earned title.
Neil is a genius.
YAY! The Twins - my cousin is Brian Harper, a former catcher on the Twins. Good luck baseball sister 😊
The first bride is not fat. She just has bad posture. If she straightened that spine a little bit, that tummy pouch she's so fixated about would be invisible.
Kristi is giving me Amanda Bynes in her prime vibes
Jennifer looked stunning in her dress 😍😍😍
First bride’s dress was stunning!
Second bride’s dress wasn’t exceptional for the price and I feel that it would have looked better without the sparkly belt! She had a curvaceous figure and because the dress was mermaid, the belt cut her in the wrong place. , as the dress line needed to flow until it hit the kick out of the mermaid bottom.
Hi 5 to her best friend's suggestion. He knows her well
“This is going to be a rough appointment.” Miss, we are on dress #1
Her friend is so sweet!❤️ Be my friend! Lol
Good thing she brought her friend along with an eye for fashion! She could’ve been there all day and left empty handed, if not! Can I borrow him? 🤣
It's nice to see that nowadays the body trends have changed and people are not as harsh on themselves anymore ❤️
I feel like because they've been dreaming about walking down the aisle in a beautiful gown since they were little girls, they convince themselves that spending thousands of dollars on a gown they'll wear only one time in their life is worth it because it's THEIR day to be in the spotlight. I've heard so many women say the same thing: "Oh, our wedding was beautiful, and the dress, WOW! But as time went on, the gown wasn't worth the expense." The moment a guy proposes, so many women immediately start thinking about "getting married" but not the actual part of BEING married. What they fail to see is that getting married and BEING married are two different animals, and to start a new marriage and essentially a new life in debt over a gown is not exactly the best thing. Most marriages end in divorce because of financial stress. To each their own, but when I got married, we had a gorgeous small wedding. My gown was beautiful, but it did not cost $$$$. Instead, we used that money on a great honeymoon and we didn't go into debt over the wedding or the gown itself. Meanwhile, we have beautiful memories captured that beautiful day which we reflect on through the photos. Let's face it, women who spend thousands on a gown they wore once never go back and take the dress out to remember that day.
I agree and I can pick a dress for way cheaper that suits my needs. I want a small wedding with just family and some close friends. Having a big wedding tends to be a curse. Many just want to show off just to divorce later. It is not worth it. The marriage itself is way more important than the wedding and dress.
I wonder if I was the only little girl didn't dream of wearing a wedding dress someday. Being married was a possibility in my mind, but the wedding was never a blip on my radar.
@@TrinhNguyen-sh4fj My cousin was with her boyfriend for ten years, but when he finally proposed, tey had this elaborate wedding that was well over $100K, including a month-long honeymoon in Hawaii AND Tahiti. A month later, they separated over financial issues and he cheated on her because of their stresses. She wound up occupying the guest bedroom in the EXPENSIVE house they'd bought before the wedding, which she could not afford after the separation. Her mother wound up moving in, taking over the mortgage and my cousin wound up in the guest room with a mattress on the floor.
Her voice is NAILS ON CHALKBOARD!!!! UGH
TLC let's do an "after yes to the dress"
Bride tries ONE dress she doesn't like and they cut to her saying "If I don't find a dress today, I'm gonna cry".... seriously?? You've only tried ONE freakin' dress! This show is so over dramatic at times... and also... she doesn't like her belly sticking out and then goes for a very fitted dress that will show everything xD
Wow! She rocked that dress. If that were me I'd never take it off.
Virgos are wonderful, you just need to know how to wrangle them💖😅
I checked and she did get married in this dress in 2013
First bride did wear the dress.
Her best friend should be working in a bridal store if he isn’t already.. his eye for what looks good is outstanding 👏
I totally agree.
Maybe take Diane’s place?
Totally agree. He's got a great eye. 👰
