I personally can't take this kind of crap. A roommate in college during a birthday party for me smashed a pie in my face. It actually hurt. Now I know laughing it off might have been the dignified thing to do. I just took him and started beating him, smashed the rest of the pie in his face and cleared out the whole party. Thirty years later, we're still pals, but he knows better than to make me the butt of an aggressive prank. This sht isn't funny bro.

And this is why I believe in small ceremonies and courthouse weddings, you can still dress up but you will not have these malicious behavior on your wedding day, I once had a very close friend of mine tell me that I couldn't get married before she did and that never say well with me she was jealous and had an it's all about her complex and one friend who demanded I make her the bride of honor at my wedding but she didn't even tell me when she got married and said she only wanted family there. This crap happened a lot in past generations. My grandmother got married in the depression of the 1930s. So any wedding was a real sacrifice for bride's family. Several of their guy "friends" rigged the car so it would break down on the honeymoon and cost my grandfather money he didn't have to spare. And the bridesmaids thought it would be funny to take the luggage with all their clean clothes for the honeymoon and pour perfume, soap and toothpaste in the suitcases. So they spent the next day doing laundry and dry cleaning again with money the young couple did not have to spare.

A modern day example. My sister's second wedding ceremony went well. However the reception was not without problems. A couple in my side of the family got into a fist fight after drinking too much. There was also a guy and his brother in law who got drunk and fought each other. That led to a lawsuit since one had his law broken. The one with the law broken met his future wife that night who was also a former escort. People blamed it on the open bar or the venue. But it was mostly due to drunks at the wedding.

I remember working at a hotel as a bellman and we would have wedding receptions almost every Saturday night. Anyway, I'm throwing out the trash I walk past a car in the parking lot and I didn't mean to look but I did catch a glance of the bride with her head in lap of some dude for like 1 second before I realized what was going on. I looked away and cracked a joke to myself ("oh that's romantic lol") and went about my business. A couple of hours later I see her at the table in the reception hall...but she was sitting next to a dude who has brown hair. The dude I glanced at in the parking lot had blonde hair and was sitting 3 seats away from her, so it wasn't husband and wife making fuck in the parking lot. So I'm shooting the shit with the bartender lady and Mr. Blonde makes a speech, and it had to be not 10 seconds in when Mr. Brown starts throwing hands at Mr. Blonde. While all this is going on, me and the bartender are eating popcorn watching the fight and kind of laughing because the whole thing was fucked up. Moral of the story is that weddings can be like Jerry Springer sometimes lol

Awwww honey, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but not only did you marry your husband, you gained custody of his immature friends. 🤦‍♀ I'm 70 & I've not only see this situation time & time again...it also happened to me. Let me guess...none of them are in a serious relationship. (no women want them) They go out carousing every weekend, which includes drinking. May include bowling and/or pool. They will harass your man to go out with them & play on his ego that he needs permission from you to do so. Ball & Chain, henpecked, or whatever they call it now. Put your foot down before it starts. If he drifts back to his drinking buddies...boot his ass & tell him to come back after he grows up. And what ever you do, don't get pregnant until you know. A baby never saves a troubled marriage.
