Very Handsome Coin. I love Mexican Silver Too! Great Info.
Thank you, Brother. It’s got some history, even if it isn’t all that rare. I appreciate you stopping by. Looks like the auction went pretty well last night. Congrats
Back again for a quick Mexican fix. It's always a look at and drool on any Mexican pieces for me. I hope to be back pouring by the end of next month as soon as I get my pouring bench moved home. Good to see you again bud.
It’s one heck of a treat to see you around these parts again, my friend 👍 I’ve been so swamped lately that I’ve become roommates with the Creature From The Black Lagoon 🤣
Lots of deadlines at work. Another week and a half of that and I should get some free time back. Hope you’re doing well. Glad to see that you’ll be pouring again soon. All the best 😀
I was admiring my Mexican pieces yesterday and see now I have this same piece I traded for with Value Hunter. Like you he knows my love of all the Mexican coins. I have them back to 1827. It is great hearing more of it's story.
Hello Dean!! (Said in my best Jerry Lewis voice) That is so neat that you have the same coin. Once again, both of our tastes are impeccable lol It is great to see you, my friend. I hope you’re doing alright. 👍
@@CSAN Doing OK. Sitting here watching the world go by waiting for this damned leg to mend. As of a week ago it hadn't. That makes for 6 weeks since the break. Osteoporosis is as nasty as cancer eh. Great to see you too bud. Love that opener eh, LOL.
Beauty coin, brother! Very cool facts about the Olympics too, I didn't know ANY of that info. Lol Hope you're doing well!🍻
Thank you!! I think the design is pretty cool. The first Olympics that I can remember watching were the 1972 games. I used to enjoy watching when the focus was on the actual sport. The endless human interest stories these days have driven me away lol
Good seeing you, my friend 🍻 Cheers!!
Sweet coin, Coin Sense And Nonsense, love me some older Pesos! thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting 👍 I also enjoy the older Pesos. I love the various designs over the years.
This is a great design! I should show the example I have, it’s part of a 4 coin set
Yes! Would be cool to see, especially if you’ve got the entire set. Thanks for watching 😀
I was a teen aged spectator from the USA at the Mexico City Olympics and saw the opening ceremony and most all of the track & field from preliminaries to finals. Saw a few water polo matches too. Great fun to see all the wonderful record breakers! Yes, I have a couple of the coins and they are circulated but I obtained them in Mexico City in Oct. 1968.
That is a wonderful story😀 Thanks for much for sharing and for watching. I love the design on the coin.
I attended the 1984 Summer Games in Los Angeles. Swimming, diving and equestrian events for us. So much fun.
These days you can find them on ebay for under $20 sometimes. They are such a good gift to new coin collectors and such. Neat history for such a relatively recent coin, and classic mexican coin features like the edge lettering.
They would make a great gift. These coins could appeal to a wide variety of collectors even outside of numismatics. You’re right about the classic features of Mexican coinage. The edge lettering is quite special. Thanks very much for watching and for the cool comments 😀
@@CSAN You're welcome! I have some of the 92.5% silver 1000 yen 1968 Tokyo Olympic coins too. Tipping isn't normally done in Japan, but if I ever go there I plan on giving one of those coins to a ramen shop guy. They'd definitely be into it.
@@jamesm1 that would be so neat. Very gracious of you. I’m sure that gesture would be appreciated 👊
Love that you can handle it! Good ole Mexico still makes rad coins. They have great designs even on their bullion. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, I considered gloves but obviously decided to go raw. The coin has nice surfaces but is more on the AU side of life. Some color has started on the eagle side. Nothing major. I might toss this into a wooden box and forget about it for a year or two to see what develops. You and me (I? 😂) both on the appreciation for Mexican coinage. 👍 Thanks for watching
@@CSAN always better to go raw! 🤪
It looks like a great treasure chest 😎😎😎 Great 👏👏👏
Thank you so much! I appreciate you watching and commenting 😀
I always liked these. They had those Olympics on the "Mountains" Always a First. Mexico knows how to make a nice silver coin.
Thank you for watching, my friend. I was hoping you’d like this one. I’m still thinking about the 2018 Libertad that’s out there in someone else’s hands instead of yours. Makes me sick. I agree that Mexico knows what their doing with coin designs.
Very nice pickup brother 👍
Thank you, as always 👍 🏍
awesome coins i have a few
It is a beautiful coin. I knew about the ring variety. But, never knew so many were minted. Very cool
Thank you! It’s even got a little color. 😉 Yeah, I probably should have given more info about the ring varieties. I’m not aware that any are significantly more valuable than another but it’s still kind of cool. Thanks for watching!!
Not one of T the Silver Stackers favorites because of events that happened to the Mexican people at the time.
I see. I still think it’s a beautiful coin. Thanks for watching, my friend 👍
these are great coins i have around 10 to 15 could you do a video on the 100 peso silver coin i have these also
Thanks for watching and commenting, Charles. That’s great that you have so many of these.
I was starting to write that I didn’t think I had any 100 pesos coins to make a video about when it dawned on me that I just received a set of commemoratives that could possibly be 100 pesos. They are not the traditional 100 pesos coins however. Video upcoming in the next few days.
Very nice +32
Thank you so much! 👊
