Awesome coin. Love the Cinco Pesos coin. Thanks for sharing all this great information on this one.
Hey Sal! It’s an honor to have you visit my channel. I honestly do not know how you can continue to churn out the quality content at the rate you do!
I would not undersell yourself as a collector. This may be a stacking channel but you have had great insight on collecting and this video is an example of that.
Thank you Erik! I'm learning. I'm a member of a couple of coin clubs and the old guys share a lot of knowledge. Hope some of it rubs off on me! Ha ha!
WOW!!! Kick-A!!! Video sir! Like you said if you're collecting make your own decisions. I did buy a tube of the 1940s-50s unpeso which has the smallest amount of silver possible but numismaticaly speaking they hit the COOL factor, plus at dollar each I couldn't pass it up. Again sir GREAT job! ALL the best to you and your GREAT family! Peace from Kansas!!!
Thank you amigo! Be sure to check out Saturday's video. Rich has an answer for your question! Have a great evening!
You had Me in from the start till finish, Great bit of History thank you and the coins are fantastic too😊👊👍👉 Cheers H
Thanks Howard! Glad you enjoyed it! I’m doing a video premiere on Saturday morning at 8:30 AM CST. Hope you can join me!
Love the Mexican coins a lot. I have 50 of the Aztecs. I actually got them to melt for pouring because they were on sale and the cheapest I could find at the time but once I had them in hand I don’t know if I can. They are very nice and detailed.
I’d like to see the stuff you pour!
It’s coming soon. I had to take a break from content after dealing with a lot of loss but I’m in a way better place now and about to start up again. After I get this yard in order. 😂
Hi T, thanks for sharing information about this awesome coin iam lucky I have some rounds and the 1947 and 1948. Mexican coins are very cool, keep on stacking my friend, have a great week T.
Appreciate it T M! Keep an eye out. Sometimes you can find these in foreign silver bins on the cheap. They are becoming very collectable just like many other silver coins.
The advantage of the 1947-48 Cuauhtémoc is their numismatic value. I’ve seen them been offered on eBay for around $150 in ms 65. A silver round loses going against the Cuauhtémoc
Thanks Jose! Appreciate it! Keep an eye out. Sometimes you can find these in foreign silver bins on the cheap. As you mentioned, they are becoming very collectable just like many other Mexican silver coins.
Love the 50 pesos from the 50s and 60s too. I just started collecting em
Very cool Trident! Mexican silver is just so beautiful!
I just picked up my first Aztec silver round the other day from Sherrie.
She had at least an entire tube of them in her generic bin $26 each.
I saw them there. Almost bought one or two. Went with the CC’s instead.
@@TtheSilverStacker oh yes I do recall the CC's.
Well you can't go wrong there.
90% silver is not to bad for stacking, That's what our USA pre -65 constitutional silver coinage has and look at the kind of price it's demanding. The only problem that I and I'm sure many others have in stacking Mexican coinage for the silver that's in it. Is their coinage is all over the place in the amount of the silver each coin has if any.. So if you do not know what your doing you will over pay. LOL However, Collecting a few Mexican silver coins as a hobby is another whole game. and I think you pointed that out very clearly. Great video, Thanks!
Thanks Tim! You’re right. 72% on the Mexican silver is the lowest I’ll go. You’re right, they are all over The place on their silver percentages I’m doing another Premier on Saturday morning at 8:30 AM CST hope you can make it
Love the Mexican silver, it’s like a cigar in Cuba , just feels right
That’s a good way to look at it! I think you’re 100% right! Thanks!
Just bought a 1948 because i like the GSM aztec so much, great video ,thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
I remember your original video and learning of Cuahtemoc. I've always meant to get a silver round like this... so, thanks for the reminder!!
Thanks Gary. Only had 354 views on the original. Let’s see what this one does. I enjoy turning new people on to the coins I enjoy!
Great video brother I really did enjoy the history lesson keep it up
Thanks BSS! Glad to share a little history and a beautiful coin!
I have bought a coin that has the calendar on one side but on the other there is a sun and not Cuantemoc. Thank you for sharing this history and perspective.
Thanks for sharing!
LOVED THE VID T
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!!
@@TtheSilverStacker I enjoyed this very much, great bit of history! I just like his image.
Yeah T the cinco peso has been a favorite of mine for a long time! I’ve even got one that’s been cut into a Texas Rangers badge, apparently that’s a tradition that they still observe according to one of my LCS owners in South Texas who says he sells them to the dept. to this day for that, albeit more ceremonial im guessing. Anyways great video bubba! Keep ‘em coming!!
I’ve Never heard of a badge like that but sounds pretty cool. I’m premiering a video with Rich’ tomorrow and I think you’ll enjoy have a great weekend.
@@TtheSilverStacker I’ll see if I can get my wife to dig them out and send you a pic in your email
I may not "stack" the old cinco pesos, but I definitely have them as part of my foreign silver collection
I hear ya! I pick them up whenever the prices are decent. Thanks CM!! I appreciate ya buddy!
Great vid, T! Enjoyed it. So funny that we released a Cuauhtémoc vid on the same day!
No kidding! Sal also released an Onza video. That’s what inspired me to re-release my old Cuahtemoc video.
@@TtheSilverStacker - Gotta love it!
Excellent knowledge T, love the history behind the coins Sir.
Thanks Silver Struck! I enjoy doing the research on these things. Glad you enjoy watching!
Nice Rodrigo y Gabriela background music! I love their music!!!
Yes! I’d love to see them in concert! Thanks for watching!
GREAT INFORMATION T... Your video helped me decide on a BIG PURCHASE of the 47' Version of this Awesome Coin! 👍
Glad I could help!
@@TtheSilverStacker ..👍
Excellent info, thanks! I will keep an eye out for these!
Sometimes you can find them in foreign silver bins for pretty cheap. Good luck!
I might consider the coin for my collection. I definitely like the history that goes with it. I got two of the rounds for $9 on a race.

Hi, T. I picked up the Holy Grail kilo of Aztec Calendars from Banco de Mexico in 2015. I also got a kilo Libertad that year to complete my size type set of Libertads. I like the old 5 Pesos coins. I love classic Mexican coin designs. An excellent little bit of history and video. The Conquistadors were very cruel to the Pueblo Indians in NM also. Thanks. *TYU*
Thank you Donald. I appreciate you watching as always. It seems as though some of my viewers did not appreciate me pointing out the cruelty that you mentioned in the history of Mexico and the conquistadors. Several even unsubscribed. Ha ha. I am doing a premier with Rich’ from The Gold Depot and Saturday morning at 8:30 AM CST. Hope you can join me.
@@TtheSilverStacker I know the history of our area. It is a topic that bothers some of Spanish descent. Many don't like to hear the truth of American history either. Many know nothing of the Pueblo Revolt or the Trail of Tears. Also, Civics is no longer taught. These days, Civics is frowned on. Politics is very divisive. "Patriotism" has been distorted. Don't ever sanitize your content to keep a small number of viewers that can't handle the truth. Your historically accurate content is appreciated by those that understand history and don't want to repeat bad actions.
I definitely prefer the 47/48 coins! Silver and Gold Stack Attack just did a video on these as well! Great video as always T!
Thanks for letting me know. I just went and watched it. He did an excellent job!
@@TtheSilverStacker got my T slab! Very nice thank you!

@@AlohaStacker Very cool. Looking forward to it. Seems like viewership is slowing down a bit lately. Might be due to the good weather or maybe silver dropping down. Not sure.
I have several of those. Cool rounds!

I love my Gold 20 peso.VEINTE PESO.
Very cool!
Im American and never been 2 Mexico. I will go. I do love the Morgan dollar. But nouthing beats Mexican coins................
They are definitely beautiful, aren’t they?
Just FYI... The Morgan/Peace dollar have less silver in them than the 47/48 Aztec Cuahtemoc Silver coins. And I'm finding the Mexican aztec coins for a much cheaper price than the Morgans! 👍
Very informative.
Thanks for watching amigo!
Just started stacking and subscribed 👍⛏️🇦🇺😊🙋
Glad you’re here Matty! Hope you enjoy the channel!
WELCOME!!! This is DEFINITELY the place 2B!!!
I was going to buy some of those Mexican coins from Hero but they sold out. I'm trying to patiently wait on the new Libertads wish they would hurry and release them I'm going through the d-t's. 😆
Everyone is waiting on those Libertads. They are going to sell out fast. Get them as fast as you can when they are offered!
@@TtheSilverStacker I saw on ebay someone has 2022 Libertads on presale for 62.99 a piece. They say the bullion dealers are gonna sell them for more. What do you think???
Nice u got the pair gold and silver

Hey T are they both silver coins? I saw one for a good price i might just get it..am glad u enjoy my Mexican culture specially the food and the history and of course the Mexican Plata 🇲🇽

Yes! He paid the price.
Atl least we've commemorate him and the design of the coin is beautiful Imo keep the vids Mr t
I search for these at every coin show I go to. I've only found three and they are cleaned and/or have ugly toning.
With everyone getting turned on to Mexican silver, they are getting harder to find. Thanks for watching!!

Good evening T. I know you are a professional on Mexican bullion from watching your channel.
Can you explain why Libertad's are so much more expensive than nearly everything else? Is it because of low mintage or what?🤔
Hi Codger. Yes, I think everything comes down to supply and demand. The demand is high (they are popular) and the supply is low (much lower mintages than ASE etc). Thanks for asking a great question!
So, do you think that syphilis for smallpox was a fair trade?
Let’s see. Hundreds of lives vs. millions of lives. No, I don’t think it was a fair trade.
If I'm just buying to sell later should i buy this coin, i don't know anything about coins, just buying it for silver's value for selling it later as price goes up...
This has silver and collector value.
@@TtheSilverStacker not for resale?
