Actually works. My 2TB HDD randomly emptied itself and my heart dropped, came looking for answers and the EaseUS solution did the trick! Supoer suprised it worked first try.
It says on the site that up to 2G's can be recovered for free. But after scanning my 1TB for hours I go to recover and a pay to play banner pops up after retrieving a few files. Leaving the vast majority of files unrecoverable unless I pay like $60. Lucky for me the drive is a backup. Thanks EaseUS

I think I just opened my hardrive on a windows first, and then just moved the files to a new harddrive that fully supports mac AND windows and has no problems. Or smth else I remember was that u can switch modes on a harddrive, just if u can copy ur stuff first. Smth about the switching modes was u could set it to be compatible with mac, in the system operator settings windows.

What I personally hated at first was file organization, I thought u had to use the photos app and it somehow duplicated all my images, it was so stupid, then I realized I can just use the premade documents folder or the desktop and make my own structure. (I was mainly confused cuz on windows they have the photos, videos, downloads, documents tabs premade.)
I now have this 4TB that shows up almost filled up, but it only shows the Root folders. They all show as empty but the drive sows as almost full. Hidden files doesn't show anything that contains files. I can't bring back any of the files by trying various methods including those shown in the video. The drive was RAW (But shown as NTFS in Easeus) and inaccessible at the start, so I ran chkdsk fix and after that I added user rights to be able to open it. But I can't find any info on bringing the files back, so that means file recovery is the next step. I hate file recovery on 4TB drives.

My old 2TB OS HDD is failing to boot, so I've removed it from that pc and put it in an external case. When I try it in the external case, using another Win 10 pc I have, as well as a Win 11 mini-pc, the external cased 2TB HDD is recognized by those pc's, the files are accessible. When I tried EaseUS to clone, it automatically wants to put the new pc that I'm running EaseUS on as the Source (the C: drive), only giving me the option of putting the E: drive that I want to use as source or the D: drive that I want to use as the 4TB HDD destination, as destinations. How can I tell it NOT to use C: as Source, but to use the external cased E: drive as the Source to clone from?
