Troma went through so much hassles at Cannes when screening Nuke ‘em High aka Volume 2. They made a video about it (which also appears on the blu-ray) & uploaded it to their UA-cam channel. I would link to it but their channel was just taken down.
Awesome video. I happened to see both Return to Class of Nuke Em High Vol 1 & 2 together with Lloyd Kaufman and his wife in attendance about a year and a half ago. I believe they were shot back to back
Thanks for this one Josh! I think I remember requesting this one awhile back. Loved your witty commentary, as always. Well, unlike most commenting on here, I am a Troma fan & major supporter of theirs. I respect & admire that they've managed to stay completely independent, since the 1970s, & i respect & admire them for their Tromadance festival. It's cool of them to give opportunity to upstart filmmakers, that bullshit, overrated Hollywood, completely overlooks. I would suggest another timeline you could do, but man, you've already done most of everything i can think of, lol.
i remember seeing these movies late night on sci-fi when i was a teenager, it eventually won me over even though i was constantly disappointed it wasn't porn
Lemmy has been dead since 2015; so obviously 🙄 a posthumous appearance by him in Class Of Nuke ‘Em High Part # 4 sequel- Thankfully yours, David J. Goldbaum- Boston, Mass. 👍
I feel like the troma movies just... should be better than they are y'know? whenever I see box art for them or watch a trailer or hear one of their plots described to me it sounds like a good ol time ... but then actually watching them is usually a mixture of boring and a little bit embarrassing, with maybe one or two great moments per movie.
I think it kind of varies and they get worse with time. I love most of the old Lloyd directed ones. I think the first and fourth Toxic Avenger films, Terror Firmer, and Tromeo and Juliet are all fantastic.
Theory: 21 years later roger smith Resigns his job And professor holt is arrested👮🏻♂️ they could have put that in part 3 and I wouldn't think to hard when the two guys melt into one baby ⚪and used to power the city ☢
I remember auditioning for 'Return to Nuke 'em high' in Niagara Fall, NY. The sides they gave us weren't even cohesive from line to line. I was still new to being on film sets at the time but, I've got nothing good to say about the people or the experience.
I love part 2. It's so trashy and ridiculous. They should've given The Squirrel gang a spin-off movie instead of making that worthless 3rd installment.
The first one is really good. It's outlandish & ridiculous, but still feels grounded & everything makes sense in the world of the movie. I hate when movies think think they have to go over the top with silliness for the sequels.
I only knew of the first two.. The first one I loved.. Second one I hated.. But I am one of those strange people who liked a lot of the 80s Trouma movies. Did not care for the stuff afterwords for the most part. .. and for some reason I am currently remembering a movie that has nothing to do with them.. I do not know why but "Zombie Biker Chicks from Mars" popped in my head and is stuck there.. Perhaps its because I watched Phantasm recently again and it had scenes that where rip offs of Phantasm? *shrug*
You should know that I actually had a mullet myself. I will never watch those movies. I have to agree that they are gossip movies and there’s no way that they are a horror film ask type of a genre that I would ever watch then class of Newcomb hi is more than likely a sequel to the first two volume oh of 1 and 2 does pile what I am thinking if you reverse some of this a little bit, I will be assured that I will not include them in my book or the documentary that will fall on it. I will not be including any horror comedy at all, only except affair, if you like ghost fever, and ghost, story to whatever, so why can we be friends again I am just saying about the X-Men movies that you can forget it. You can forget about doing a Taiwan as I saw it you can forget it because you already did it, so can we be friends again when I am just trying to tell you. Deadpool is not a part of the X-Men timeline just because everybody says that the pool is a part of it does not make it so come on Josh talk to me say something to me if you forget about my timeline of how are used originally saw it I am just saying that Deadpool is not a part of the timeline That’s all I’m trying to tell you buddy that’s all I’m trying to say about that so I will leave it alone if you want me to that’s fine so I thought I would tell you this that video that I just now seen is not a horror, film timeline? It looks like it’s more in the Comedy gross out kind of a timeline. That’s all that is so I will never watch them at all to freak out us to me and I want you to know that there is no way I can watch movies like that when I actually had a mullet myself and it’s true .
I never got this whole '80s feather-in-hair thing or "cool" guys with oversized earrings in general. That was just a little too Mad Max (and gay). "You see that guy in the leather jacket wearing one of his mom's earrings? Well, he is the toughest guy in high school, and you should be really afraid of him because he's badass. Give him your lunch money!" Seriously, unless you are fighting a violent post-apocalyptic tribal war over fuel, just stay away from feathers and earrings.
I can’t stomach Troma movies they are just so bad and not in a fun way. Only 2 of their movies I would say I like, the original “Class of Nuke ‘em High” and “Surf Nazis Must Die”. That’s it. Any other movie I’ve seen is too shitty to look at.
Troma movies used to be really good B movie schlock, but for the most part, you're right. The last good Troma movie was probably Terror Firmer, and that came out 21 years ago.
I’m sorry, but I have to respectfully disagree with this ruling. The overwhelming vote for this genre was “horror”? There is nothing about these films that scream this other than over the top kills. For me, horror needs a sinister villain and a relatively scary mythology. This “Sci-Fi” franchise has none of these qualities. Still a great video, as always.
Not just the votes. This was always tagged "horror" even when it was new in the rental stores. I think the VHS might even have had "horror" on the spine.

Thanks for reviewing! This movies has been in my brain since childhood.
Great one! Loved Troma ever since I first saw Nuke-em High on USA UpAllNight!
That little pony tail Is a rat tail, was a very short fad in the 80s.
Cool, you like Metropolitan Police Boxes too, 😉
@@DBSG1976 wonder if it's bigger on the inside 😉
Its a jedi hair cut, who knew that lucas was a troma fan?
"Its called an atomic high"!!!!!
At this point just call it "Troma Timelines" or "Timelines from Tromaville!" cause their really movies that have their own genre/category
Awesome video. I happened to see both Return to Class of Nuke Em High Vol 1 & 2 together with Lloyd Kaufman and his wife in attendance about a year and a half ago. I believe they were shot back to back

Roger and his boys are all total physique goals.
You should do the Troma movie, “Teenage Cat Girls in Heat”. 😼
I haven't seen that one ...
That sounds like a hentai
I was born in 80, don't remember rebellious teens thinking it was badass to dress like African tribal members with bones in their nose.
Been waiting for this one. Ty first one too. Cool
i remember seeing these movies late night on sci-fi when i was a teenager, it eventually won me over even though i was constantly disappointed it wasn't porn
good memories with 1 and 2 on USA up all night
Gonzo aka ring nose guy was my favorite character 😆
I can't believe I've never seen any of the sequels. They look fun.
Lemmy has been dead since 2015; so obviously 🙄 a posthumous appearance by him in Class Of Nuke ‘Em High Part # 4 sequel- Thankfully yours, David J. Goldbaum- Boston, Mass. 👍
Great video can you do the Class of 1984 series
Sweeeet! If I'm lucky I'll get to watch this @ work but it is Friday though.."either way, either way is cool, either way"(Seth-Superbad)

For me the first one is the only one that counts
The first tume I saw part two i caught it on Up All Night 😆😆 gooood times
Tromaville, New Jersey. Enough said.
It reminds me of Class of 1999.
Early Troma was entertaining, now it's hit or miss!
Btw if u doing 'Class of..'..are you doing 1984/1999 etc..?
No Troma had a type of quality 💯 and it's depressing to hear they've become laxed in the type of quality mentioned 😔.
Love it! Thank you!
Theory: 21 years later roger smith Resigns his job

Very impressed we get some troma.
Come on man, Toxie? 😊
check out superhero timelines episode 3!
It's pronounced kreetinz! Did you even watch the movie?
I wonder if jason voorhees was exposed to tromaville
I love this movie
This movies are weird

I wonder how much tuition is worth?
... did Stranger Things rip off the slug scene from this movie...
I love part 2. It's so trashy and ridiculous. They should've given The Squirrel gang a spin-off movie instead of making that worthless 3rd installment.
Only seen Toxie.

Lol I actually seen this B-Movie
Troma films are not what I'd call "Quality" in any definition of the word.

Oh boi
No thumbs up for mispronunciation.

Do class of 1984
very, very, very, very, very soon.
