Every ending is about exploring a different meaning to life.
Arasaka - Survival at any cost, up to and including your principles and freedom.
Nomad - Friendship, kinship, human connection being placed before wealth and glory.
Rogue/Secret Solo mission - Glory, legacy, leaving an impact on the world.
Letting Johnny take over V's body - Altruism, self-sacrifice for a friend who would do the same for you.
Suicide before the final mission - Nihilism, deciding that there is no meaning and no reason to continue trying.
That’s a very concise and astute interpretation of the endings, more people should read this
What doesn't sit right with me is asking Panam for help as the "friendship" choice. I agreed with Johnny in that arasaka just seemed way above their league, and I'd be putting them in danger if I asked them for help
Great conclusion. Honestly Arasaka ending is only one i would never choose.
DIsagree about the suicide one... You can see it as your friends being worth more than just getting sucked into a personal vendetta that may very well get them killed.
which... spoiler alert... it does... You decimate the Aldecaldos, you get Rogue killed... and what for? just to die of a fucking aneurism 6 months in the future... unless you give Johnny your body... and for what i've seen... he gets the hell out of NC without even letting your friends know
@@idontknow-tn9jm yup and no at the same time. Yup, because you cared enough for Panam that you won't risk her dying. Nah, because if you die, it would leave a great deal of regret in Panam that she didn't get to help V's situation - A regret that you feel for the whole life is as killing as a physical death. V also addresses this in a following dialogue when you hit select the 'go with Panam' option that he would rather take her side and do things together.
Hearing Judy's call with the suicide ending really messed me up. I cant imagine having both the people you love committing suicide. She is such an amazing character
The game has great characters in general, for example Gary the prophet (jk, that example was a joke, I can definitely see someone like that in a cyberpunk world)
That shit is fucked up

Panam have the reason to be pissed, she lost Saul and a lot of her clan members in attempt to save V. Not a good idea to get panam involved if Johnny ends up returning to V’s body. Taking the Rouge or Reaper ending is better choice.
Viktor's a good friend, love supporting characters like him in rpg's
Viktor is like that cool uncle you never had but you really wish him to be.
wish there was more things to do with viktor
What didnt he give V the gun bruh
Except this game isn’t rpg lol

The ending with Judy crying is one of the hardest to watch
it totally sucker punches you right in the gut.
It is missing here, but try to find her voice mail from Johnny's ending, it is no less heartwrenching for me. (There is a video on UA-cam with all Judy's credit voice mails)
With the suicide ending every message is really hearthbreaking, just makes you wanna cry...
Makes me cry everytime
agreed!,while i prefer panam over judy, seeing judy cry like that really hit hard as i do really like judy.
@@Valkirth sad Panam message for that choice hurt to but Judy hurt much more
Damn, Judy's emotional range in the cut scenes shows how gut wrenching her struggle is. The actress did a phenomenal job bringing across her loneliness as well as her happiness just through voice, she's the standout actress in this game imo. Seeing her character struggle with so much loss and pain and yet still reach a point in her life where can feel joy again bring tears to my eyes. I am so very happy for her even though she's just a fictional character, perhaps she stood out to me the most because I wish the same for myself...
I can honestly say I (in the game) loved her... To a point where it was kinda depressing to find out there is no real happy end with her :)
@@RSProduxx Buddy, I think you will love what I will tell you. But if you have a female V and romance judy. And decide to raid arasaka with panam and the nomads, she comes with you out of the city and in the credits she confesses feelings for V and in the background you hear V calling her to come to the table and eat. A truly happy ending :) And the best ending you can get
@@tadejloncar That's true. However, V will still die in a few months unless panam finds something to help her
@@judythepunk461 Its kinda heavily implied V gotten the cure. Panam says she knows people who can help her, Viktor mentions to keep her insulation in check for dust to avoid dying, misty does a tarot card reading and says V has a happy life ahead of her and all this took place as Judy and V share a home (as they had wished when looking back at Night City), meaning those credit calls took place in the (near?) future. That's as ambiguously good as you can get lol.

Theres one missing. The call from River, when V commits suicide. He talked about his first NCPD partner, who was a good guy but shot himself, too, because the city ruins all good people.
Now that was a hit in the feels
Takemura
Anywhere I can see this message? Can't find it :(
@@raphari5752 Haven´t seen it on UA-cam yet. Think you´ll have to replay the ending and let V commit suicide.
You need to play side missions and meet those people to have them in the end credits.
That's why there are so many variations that you would not normally see.
I know that Cyberpunk had many bugs and whatnot. The gameplay was "okay" for me. And there were other issues, but what I can say is that this game has the best history and characters I have seen in a while. The whole cast of characters is so fucking good. From Jackie bromance, to the chilling in the roof before a mission with Takemura just talking about life and shit. People can say what they want from Cyberpunk 2077 release and buggy mess. But the history, lore, and characters are a 10/10 for me.
I know right it’s absolute gold
Buut so much more could have beeeen 🥺😭..Romance and friendship should could have been ended way smoother. Like..I could not tell Kerry on the Phone that I might 'die' tonight...
I really enjoyed the game but agree it's flawed. I reckon with a few more updates and polishing the game could finally live up to the story
Don’t worry dlc will be dropping
Yep. Im playing it on the PS4 and have gone through many crashes but the only thing making me going is the story.
When I did the Aldecaldo’s ending, I was pretty happy with all the characters saying goodbye, and then Goro tells me to go to hell. Really hit me in the gut.
Me too, but it can’t be helped. That’s his fate in every ending except for the devil ending, and that one turns out very badly for V, Johnny, and the world as a whole. It would have been nice if we could convince him to leave Arasaka so he could have a better outcome in the other endings, but I guess that would have been out of character for him. He’s loyal to Arasaka to a fault, and he’d rather go down with the ship than turn his back on the company.
I mean lets be honest he has that samurai spirit honorable and the blind loyalty to the arasakas especially to saburo so he doesn't care if gets lied at deceived by or left out on anything by his masters he will follow them blindly even if it is the literal wrong thing they did like the project with alt forcibly making people into netrunners
I took it as a show of affection, saved his ass after all 🤷♂️
I couldn't give 2 shits about the dude
@@berbal9658 he’s about to commit seppuku. It’s not meant to be friendly or sarcastic but his true feelings.
I'm surprised people aren't talking about Misty.
I really appreciate how supportive and caring she is throughout the game, and specially in the last moments with her on the roof...
She was a highlight for me in the end, really loved her portrayal.
Shes forgettable af sadly, she never had content besides the worst mission, the one where you go ans collect the tarots...and get nothing for it except a slightly different tarot reading.
There is a reason no matter what, here message is the last one. She knew V more than anyone. After Jackie ofcourse.
@@notjimpickens7928 nah
and shes cute as hell
think this is missing Misty's card readings for the Aldecaldos ending. she draws good cards, predicting a good life for V out in the badlands
Yea I got that one
I got the good tarot from Misty by letting Johnny take the wheel and go with Rough after that stay the city with Rivels also good message from all of the support cast congratulated me about becoming a legend in NC
" predicting a good life for V out in the badlands"
Those seem like short term readings. She predicts the world knowing about Legend V, but he will still die in 6 months. I think Nomad V will also die, but he will die happy and loved.
@@VDA19 in Cyberpunk world i would think there is a way to clone a full human. Right now there is cloned limbs that is confirmed to be a thing but what about full human clone or a full robot to hold a AI or human mind. V could live on with one of the options
@@jalapenopixar Those are only possible with Arasaka. Who else has the resources for those?
panam’s ending for the path of least resistance makes me cry every time, you can clearly tell how devastated she is, even though she tries so hard to hide it by anger.

@@BMotu I actually got that message from Takemura despite leaving with the Aldecaldos. I assume it's because he asked you to help him take out Yorinobu and you don't and Hanako is killed opportunistically. Not 100% sure though.
@@1tiptoetimmy that’s exactly what I got, and I felt horrible. Because Takemura was my favourite side character once Jackie bit the dust. It sucks that no matter what ending you choose, there’s always at least one person who says something you don’t want to hear.
I hope future dlc’s and expansions expand on panam’s ending and romance. it’d be fun stirring shit up in the desert or in arizona. also, panam sounds like she’s getting all the support she can from V as chief.
I hope for the same thing
Panam is best girl.
he dies 6 months later so idk if it’ll be possible 😭
RIGHTTTT I WANT MORE WITH THE ROMANCES. UGH I HOPE THEY DO JUDY N PANAM R THE BEST.
What if the dlc saves him🥺
You missed the Aldecaldo Misty tarot reading -- The Chariot, The Lovers, and The Sun
and all goro's. Either way good vid
But what does it mean?
@@NoName-ym5zj I've actually made a lot of comments about this on reddit and the cyberpunk forums. In short, I think at least, this ending is the best possible, especially given this tarot reading. The Chariot is a card meaning great success in relation to a specific task -- V's new specific task is to survive this ailment that is killing her/him, and the chariot only points towards success in that regard. The Lovers is a card referring to love in all forms -- platonic, familial, and romantic -- and only in this ending does V truly have that; all other endings has V abandoned or dead. The Sun has similarities to The Chariot, but is more the antithesis of danger than it is about success in and of itself. Basically, a great moment of happiness, serenity, and a path free from darkness and dangers comes after tribulations and difficulties. V had just finished one step in the fight to survive, and now, the rest of their fight is in their grasp and ahead of them, without hidden dangers to stop them.
In other terms, this is the only ending where I think V definitively lives and survives.
@@sihplak damn now i regret skipping the credits
I love it because everything makes sense.
The Sun: Fleeing into the sunset.
The Lovers: V and Panam.
The Chariot: The Basilisk.
I was blown away by the storytelling in this game. The narrative experience is truly one of a kind, with characters and relationships at it's very core.
Don't write "All" when it's not actually all.
I got the ending with Panam ngl, that's my favorite ending

I got the ending where V and Judy are a couple and they both leave with Panam. The message you get from Judy during the credits is pretty cute.
Judy crying hit me hard, whoever voiced that is dam amazing. Felt all the emotion
Johnny saying-”Goodbye V. And never stop fighting” *while pushing you in slowly turning away to go join alt*
😣😖😢That line/dialogue right there with many others in the Games story hit hard and will always get a certain feeling (cant explain it) when thinking back on the game with the relationships built with the many well designed characters that had a tremendous impact on my experience. Long story short beautiful game it may have glitches, and bugs but that will always be fixable and was just touched by the subtle messages they were giving the player You/V also it will always be a must for any games story to really grab ahold of its audiences attention, mind, & hearts throughout the game ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (I KNOW THIS WAS LONG BUT I GENUINELY HAVEN’T EXPERIENCED THAT INTRIGUING, EMOTIONAL ENRICHMENT, MENTALLY STIMULATING FEELING ABOUT A GAME IN A VERY LONG TIME IT REALLY FELT AS IF I WAS REALLY IN CYBERPUNK YEAR 2077 BUILDING REAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH THOSE CHARACTERS.) :)
Well put alex, lots of us agree
dude the first time i got to the ending i played panam route. In the network, i decided to give my body to johnny. When walking on the bridge, when he stopped me and said all of those things. When he said "ok go on, just take the easy way out like the coward you are". After all he said, i decided to turn back and go back to my body. Then this sentece that you just said:" Goodbye V, and never stop fighting." that hit home so hard .........
I finsiehd the game and got 3 or 4 of the endings (4 if you count the suicide one even tho it's a shortcut to the ending short)
But I still ended up refunding the game on my PS4 and just decided to get it a few months later after they fix the bugs or maybe when they add DLCs
CDPR Are facing problems outside of the game, not sure yet but I think they might be facing a lawsuit for false advertisement about the performance and looks on base consoles
@Tomas Koptik there will be DLC so probably there'll be more of V, I just hope we can live with Johnny in our head without the chip slowly killing us
Johnny was a real bro in the end.

@@reaperv8 Yes, one of the endings (the best one in my opinion) is female V and romance Judy leaving NC together with Panam and the Aldecaldos. Panam mentions that there are people where they are going that have been able to help people like V, implying they might be able to prolong or possibly save V's life. I hope that's true and we get a big DLC related to it. Despite the bugs the story and world were amazing and deserve a sequel with V in it.
Everyone is talking about Judy crying but what about Panam? Her fourth message in this video breaks my heart.
Same here :( to think she's left to fend for herself in Night City, with no one to rely on, having trouble making ends meet, is one of the worst possible endings for the characters, to me.

Fun Fact: Viktor was actually born in 2000, making him exactly 77 in the game.
Cyberpunk 2077
Honestly those messages at the end had such an huge impact on me, it's actually insane. They made the endings way more depressing for me
Reminds me of an interview Keanu did in 2019:
Naturally, Colbert then went on to ask the actor what he thought happens when we die.
Taking a moment to consider the question, Reeves simply replied, “I know that the ones who love us will miss us.”
This is probably an unpopular opinion but I really like the new dawn fades (Johnny has the body) ending. It’s a mature choice made by V, giving a changed Johnny a second chance, who promises not to waste it
I also think mine is unpopular, but I really like refuse the contract,v singing is really emotional,he doesn’t need to use soul killer, takemura is alive and well, and this is the biggest point but only the dlc will tell...I think,or I hope that v can join the aldecaldos
It is sad that all friends are left hanging not knowing what happened, but I agree it's the best option. Johny get's a second chance at life, while V's consciousness lives on in the wild net. V isn't dead, just on a different plain of existence. I like to think that in this ending V and Johny might even meet again one day.
I agree, it's the best ending since in any other ending V is going to die anyway. So letting Jonny take over V's body ensures that at least one of them will survive.
Also if you went the Rogue route for the final mission then you play as Johnny inside Mikoshi and V will try to stop you from going with Alt and push you to take their body instead. So we know it's the ending V wants too.
They both had their chances at life and both died. Neither is more deserving of keeping the body, but Johnny is insistent on letting V live. His entire character development arc rests on maturing out of a selfish, spiteful crusader. It makes more sense for the story that V gets to live a few more months while Johnny accepts his fate and goes peacefully into the Net.
Okay, all of the major/minor characters are brilliant. I really bonded with Misty, Panam, and Judy. I felt genuine emotion for each character. And the suicide ending with Judy? How she says “shit...I-I can’t do this” breaks my heart. She is the most loving individual, has so much compassion. And Panam? Her fury at you, her lack of comprehension for your choices. And Misty, her complete and total understanding of your decision, but also knowing you had no real idea of the implications. The three major points of grief: sorrow, rage, acceptance. The voice actors NAILED their roles. I also love the moment with Misty in Jackie’s garage where she says (regarding the mandala) “it’s hideous... but it’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.” AND THEN “V, I’m so much better than okay.” She honest to god has such a strong role for me in this game. She was such a beautifully done spiritual character. God I love the characters in this game.
Judy and Panems suicide ending had me tearing up man. I haven’t felt this connected to video game characters in a while
Rogue is the cool mom you want your friends to hang around with, Vik is the cool uncle you never had

Exploring that submerged town along with Judy, with that sweet tune as background music, was breathtaking

Suicide ones hit me hard. Especially the Judy one at 2:15.

10:18 this one hit me hard because in this message panam didn’t fix things with her family and she’s all alone in night city all she has is V’s contact info and is hoping to get a gig to scrap by. Being alone isn’t easy. I’m glad I chose to help her fix things.
The only reason we all struggled through the bugs and glitches is this golden piece of written material
The Nomad ending is so much better with panam hopefully the dlc will have missions riding with nomads in the Arizona desert 🏜
and waht about people who havent done this ending? I don't know how they would handle this.
whenever a new game releases
Meloo: I am Speed
Awesome
looking at this game im scared this is really what our world will come to
No amount of tech wonder is worth this hellscape. I agree.
Honestly I can see our civilisation getting to this point where man and machine merge. We most likely won't be alive when it happens though 🤷♀️
@@JayYoungs1992 man and machine merge that i can see happen but to this degree where are world is this corrupt no
@@JayYoungs1992 We already have very rudimentary cyberware. And if you take into account that technology keeps being developed faster and faster, I don't think you should count yourself out. We don't know what the next 20 years hold for us.
Well long as I got reinforced tendons and gorilla arms, I think I'll make it 😂
I'm so happy that I helped Judy get out of the city, it's so heartwarming to see her happy in the final message
It's so depressing seeing the sad reactions of Judy after I felt soo hard for her in my first playthrough
Judy reminds me of V when we could call him after his death and leave a voice message. Judy's breakdown really hit me hard.
You missed Panams call to Johnny. Tell panam about johnny and choose to sacrifice yourself. It is the darn saddest desperate call ever.
god, man the writing on this is amazing.
these characters are so good, mitch, panam, jackie, johnny, mitch, vik.
this game absolutely nailed this, i've never felt more attached to video game characters before this.
The Judy ones hit different. She seems so alone and lost 😭
Judys crying really hit me...
I went solo because I didn’t want anyone sacrificing themselves for a dead man. Same reason why I handed over control to Johnny. A lot more can be accomplished by him for the rest of his life than V in half a year. But I mean come on Johnny at least tell everyone that I willingly handed over control and I still might be alive beyond the blackwall!
Ive never felt so emotionally attached to a storyline of a game before.
The endings give really good message.
As someone who has lost a close family member to suicide. Judy’s message. Kills me. I’ll cry every time I see that shit. I don’t think I’ll ever watch this again or end the game like that again. But that feeling. Even if it’s a game. That was real. It is real. Don’t do that people. It will hurt everyone who cares about you. What do you tell a grieving mother that she couldn’t do something or want something. You can’t. That’s the thing. Don’t kill yourself people.
Bruh...hearing Judy cry almost made me cry....and I'm a dude 😢😢
Forgot Mama Welles tho
Because dudes can't cry..
Don't worry all you ever see is sissies on youtube commenting about how much they cried over something, like it's a goddamn achievement. I'm sure you're not alone.
U r weak af now dudes can't cry 😂😂
Allowing your emotions to flow and not bottle up is peak manliness, man. Cry as much as you need
This video is missing the takemura endings, honestly takemura was a really interesting character and it's quite sad he is nearly forgotten
Man the call you get from Takemura after destroying arasaka (either rougue, solo/reaper/Johnny or even panam one I guess) is gold. The guy whines for arasakas loss so much
I'm completely honest, i went for the johny rogue ending we blasted arasaka down to oblivion, the scene down in the Mikoshi it was very heartbreaking, i was from johny perspective and despite i enjoyed the 2nd person view, and to interact with my own V , it literally destroyed me to see her getting angry and upset at johnny and Alt, i guess that she really wanted to live, i do too during throughout the whole gameplay i wanted her to survive. I decided to make johnny go. More over i think everyone is forgetting the fact, that Johny too might've been depressed about, he finally turned into a new leaf and when he did something amazing for a friend, he didn't manage to save him/her...I romanced Judy and to add more crap to this whole thing, in the ending she left V, it pissed me off that the game decided to make my own V act really cold towards Judy...
Obviously all this was intended to be sad, but Christ, not only it left me with a hole in my stomach but also it made me feel like the whole game was pointless...
But after some thought i came around the fact that there are positive things about that specific ending:
+ Both V and Jackie became Afterlife legends (mentioned if you drink in honor of Jackie which i did)
+ Destroyed Arasaka and all their schemes
I know this sounds completely dumb and hysterical, i don't know why i got so attacched to my own V and all her friends and her story plus how stupid is to get so sad about fictional stories and characters...
I don't know this is just a random rant, if you took your time to read all this crap i said, kudos to you...
I enjoyed the game despite all the bugs and controversity around, i just simply wished for a brighter ending for V..that's all.
I feel like the dlc is gonna be v finding some sort of cure to the issues he/she is facing but man I felt so bad for my V
Judy the best wait they all beautiful characters
I hope we get a dlc with more V and Judy
The suicide endings are rough
Edit: I just realized that these aren't all of them
Damn i wish ppl cared about me like this in real life 😔😔😔
Lol
I got the ending where Johnny and V went to Arasaka and then I became the night City legend, but I also wanted to see every ending, so I played all - not knowing there is a suicidal one and I was BLOWN away - when I heard the shot while you look into the view of Night City - srsly I was processing it for MINUTES. And dear Jesus, seeing Judy cry (even if I had a male V) broke my fucking heart. All endings were depressing asf but the suicidal hit deepest. The facial animations while the suicide ending are freaking stunning, you can see the pain in V's eyes and also Johnnys - you FEEL the emptiness of V thinking about this, oh my god. I was depressed and blown away for a whole week I swear this game was the best I've played so far.
I reflected on V after I beat the game and when he’s finally free he only has up to half a year left to live. When he can finally be happy and have love he don’t have much longer. I got the Panam ending and the thought of them losing each other is brutal. Bitter sweet.
There's a lot missing, so not all of the possible post credits scenes...
Missed 1 of Judy's, she has a message when V is making breakfast for her in aldecaldos camp
In my ending, Judy called me, sitting up in her underwear, to say she loved me even though I was in the next room cooking breakfast for her. I did a female V with help at the end from Pan.
Panam is easily my favorite side character in any game, this sounds super sad lmfao but i legit had a crush on her for V
There's another panam dialogue that I got on my first playthrough. It's when you tell her about johnny and he takes control of Vs body. She says something about finding johnny and ripping v out of him
That's not all character message endings. There is Takemura and Mama Welles too. I didn't get Kerry's message tho. :o
U gotta romance him
@@starcrying6441 nah you gotta finish his storyline
Panam, Viktor, Judy and Misty are all such good characters. This game is so good. Buggy as all hell for me because i played it on the Xbox One but man that story was something special. I'm gonna have to replay it on PC.
Fuck that suicide ending call from Judy was rough as hell
Was at a rough place in my life and that scene fucked me up completely. Haven't even thought of doing anything radical after that realization how much that hurts people around me
Thanks CDPR
Panam is amazing, fingers crossed for free nomad V and more panam in a DLC!!
You're a poet!
Doesn't have to be free. I would buy it, no matter what.
Is there any more stuff about the Peralez quest? I was so invested in the quest and wanted to know more about that caller. Sad that it ended without much conclusion.
What about the scene where Judy leaves with you and Panama? I think that's the best ending and her best message.
I remember my first two playthrough's distinctly. First was ALL sorry missions, so, obviously, arasaka ending. There was a lack of closure there.
But after doin just a few side missions, I managed the Nomad ending. And by god. The dichotomy between both of them was insane. Feeling wise, from "is this really it for V?" To "aight, V's gonna be ok, or at least I hope" was surreal
Props to the CDRP writing team for the emotional rollercoaster throughout
Knowing what happens no mater what watching these endings are just so sad and make me want to cry.
Shame there is no reaction from hanako if you take the secret ending. I’d love to hear what she thinks of someone who buster her doors down alone
She dies in every ending other than Arasaka one if you dont help her Yorinobu kills her and takes full control.
Because she's dead xD
@@Danickas0 yo fr? That's sick. Cuz yorinobu is the good guy. He wants arasaka to crumble
Where is takemura? He had some too if you save his life
The more I watch the various endings and look at the characters, the more I notice the minute facial expressions they managed to pull off...that shit is crazy. Love it.
you missed Panam's message when Johnny takes over the body
i feel viktor is the only character that doesn't get the attention he deserves, it feels like he is the person responsible if anything happened to you like in the post credits calls you see he is asking if you could visit him or at least call him, like a father and this is why i think he is as big of a character as the others like panam, judy, river and kerry
This is depressing... I'm gonna miss this game
Kerrys first reaction is me all the time when i get voicemail xD
It’s missing some messages from Aldecado Ending. Doing this ending while romancing Judy leads to the best post credit message in my opinion.
Good work on the video!
Missed when Kerry and River reacts to your suicide, also Panam's reacts when Johnny takes over the body (this happens when you do the mission with the Nomads, romance Panam and then let Johnny have the body)
what is the kerry suicide one?
@@aagh8714 He reacts angrily at V, because he was going through a phase of going to do it as well, so he explains it to V that its a dumb idea.
You're missing a Perales one where he becomes mayor and wants to hire you as head of security.
Oh thank god there's a good ending for him always liked Jefferson
@@Senator-Wary well, he is still being brainwashed, so wouldn't really call it good. Definetely better, but not good.
How did you get that? In my ending, hes spiraling into paranoia about the brainwashing
@@eddieguererro46 I didn't tell him about the brainwashing.
@@eddieguererro46 You lie to him about the brainwashing. I did it because it wouldn't matter if I told him or not, the AIs would just delete his memories.
Judy crying just crushes me, she lost the two most important people in her life the exact same way. She's such an amazing character and I bonded to her so much, I sobbed seeing her in that state.
And If you kill Maiko in the Clouds takeover, then she literally lose all of her past/or present romance partners (the ones we know about ingame) in just a week or maybe 2.
