Hey Mike! As always you have nailed it. It is always about "The Quality of Inputs & The Quality of Processes (exercises) to achieve the desired result in terms of output.
There is still lots of confusion even in the minds of professionals in the industry regarding how differently all these disciplines work for the body & how they overlap: Weight Lifting, Body Building, Calisthenics, Cross Fit & Power Lifting.
Your expertise & honest contribution is required here to effectively differentiate & finally understand what is the difference in the inputs & processes to reach different goals/outputs.
You have enough exposure & experience in all of these processes of most of these disciplines, if not all. May The Love of Jesus (The Lord)Always Be There With You To Guide You! Be Well! A Big Thumps Up To You!"
p.s. More video ideas coming your way later!

Let's not forget, a big part of this is genetics. It's a big part of his longevity. I've had lots of physical issues but they were mostly genetic. I had no choice. :(
But, Mike is great. I've learned so much from him. Thanks.

And one more thing..I'll piggyback off of my last comment, and that is that I do believe that the school systems are behind when it comes to nutritional concepts. By the time a four yr graduates I believe they're four years behind what the new game has self-discovered (yourself, myself, others). I have conversations about this all the time.

Some skydive and wakeboard because we like adrenaline, some workout because we like endorphins; yet mostly we love statistics not to forecast the future, but to break them and prove them otherwise. This human is proof of the last.

Hey Mike this is Casey Rice we actually never gain or lose muscle after puberty. The only times we actually gain muscle is during adolescence or when someone is pregnant. These are the two times we're in a positive nitrogen balance. What we're doing is we are expanding and shrinking the size of the cell via water...creatine red meats etc...fascia expansion blah blah haha. Id love to have this conversation because I'm still up in the air about it. When I attended dietetics school back in...13' that was a shock to me. If I look at the guys on the Olympia stage that looks totally impossible right. They've had to gain something. I could be wrong but maybe these weird things on our bodies are just balloons we blow up and if we don't workout for a while the air gets let out. ❤️

      1. Recovery
      2. Eat early and in a surplus
      3. Be wary of keto. Shiny car, dirty engine.
      4. You dont have to go 100 percent every week. Have a long term approach. You only have so much energy.
      5. Change nutrition after every couple weeks. Your body adapts after 10 days.
      6. Spend your high energy and well recovered days on your weaknesses. Why spend most energt on whats already a strength?
What about any of this is bro science?

Great stuff Mike! I sure hope people listen to you and apply. You know me, I started applying your techniques and philosophies 4 years ago at the age of 48, I’m now 52. I started out right around 190 lbs and now sitting at 225 lbs. I added 3 to 4 pounds of muscle per year, and if I leaned out I would be ripped around 210lbs. How did I do this naturally? Follow this guy with a opened mind, and you will transform. POWERBODYBUILDING! @mikeohearn

Best tip from this video I would say that I got would be: test your body, so many times we go 100% on everything, but what if we went 50%(bench 2 days a week vs 4) and keep the same momentum? We would save that much more energy and then utilize it for our weak points. I'm going to try this!
