I found her brilliant in Kodachrome too. She absolutely killed it in her latest show on HBO max Love and Death for which she also received a Golden Globe nomination.
The only issue I have is that it also makes the audience a bit more understanding about her situation. She's from a big city and has no experience in the vast open wilderness of the Native American reservation. It helps the audience try to reason with her POV. I think they could have modified this scene to make it a bit shorter and then put it in the final cut. Sometimes, a cut scene changes the dynamics of the entire movie. Example: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (it was supposed to be one movie but Warner Bros were scared that young viewers couldn't stomach such a long movie and broke it up.) When Harry is killed and Voldemort comes to Hogwarts to demand negotiations, in the cut scene, Draco runs to his parents instead of siding with him and throws a resurrection stone at Harry. It's so sudden that everyone is caught off guard. It's very brief so I don't get why they cut it from the scene but it changes my view of Draco. It shows his father as a despicable parent who pushes him to the breaking point. It's only when the entire Malfoy family sees Voldemort's master plan that they abandon him when he most desperately needs them. There are a LOT of cut scenes from The Deathly Hallows that affect the final outcome. Like with Wind River, I wish this scene had not been cut entirely.
Wind River is probably the best movie Elizabeth Olsens been in, so underrated
Not really underrated. It's very well known for being a great movie.

Watch silent house that’s a crazy movie
Ingrid Goes West too.
The thing about deleted scenes like this, is that I feel bad for the actors that'll be left out from the final cut...
probably still got paid regardless
I actually love this scene. It's too bad it didn't make the cut. And also damn, Elizabeth always looks good! 🥰
This scene explains it all. City gal works in cold wild life. Not expecting locals to know anything but she's out of place. What great script writing.
I remember this scene from the first time I saw it. For years after I thought I had imagined it. Hate they cut it out.
Definelly Elizabeth Olsen queen and cute and beatiful woman and artist and wonderful actrees and queen
This is so good
Good scene.
I can see why they cut this scene. It's quips are just a little too quippy for this kind of movie.

OMG SHE IS CUTE
why did they delete this
Because there's no need for it.
Because they decided so. It probably didn't bring much to the movie in their opinion
