Really enjoy the Hasselblad 907x content, it’s really hard to find good content on that camera and what’s it like using it. Looking forward to the rest of this series :-)
Any camera can shoot 'product' or 'pack' photography. The joy of using the 907 is that it the sensor unit can fit straight on the back of a camera which is designed for taking these types of pictures in the 1st place using a ''v' adaptor- ie a Linhof Techno/679CC as I use - however there is a caveat that you are forced to use the ES - and it does not like flash at all. And since you can't add a flash trigger to this camera for the 907X system as it stands hopefully Hass will address all of this this with something in the future - I am not sure how big the image circle is on XCD lenses - I use Rodenstocks - but a tilty shifty thing or even extension tubes would of help - the only way to do this at present inside the current Hass infrastructure is to use either an Arc Body which I also have but again only with ES or the HTS1.5 designed for the H system which does employ the LS of the HC lenses but then only with a crop factor of 1.3X and an additional 1.5X lens correction. Whilst nothing is ideal now we have gone all digital - lets see what Hass does next for this wonderful little system.
'Is that in focus?' If you need to ask, it's not. The product shot wasn't sharp either. Autofocus probably struggles with a flat white thing on a white background. The focusing point in this shot probably is somewhere in the middle of the featureless white lid, so why not stick a ruler on top pointing towards you and manually focus on that. Would it not have been far easier to just get a bigger sheet of white paper and a couple more clamps, arrange your lamps and the daylight behind you for natural outlines, shadows and contrast, then save yourself the hassle of faking it in PS? Or is that only me being too old and filmy to want it right in camera? And missing out the mounting bracket at the back does matter. They're important to the people (like me) who buy and fit rack mounted things like that.

Never use AF on pack shots - e v e r - not even once
Imagine if you just shot it correctly in camera? Wouldn’t have spent any of that time in post and wouldn’t have wasted my time.
