The ancient martial arts schools he was talking about include the Shoulin Monks in Beijing, who have made the horse stance the core of their training for dynasties.

What would be an exercise for upper body with same benefits as horse stance for lower body ?

I have a video “Push-up Variations”, there are push-ups when the legs are on the Swedish stairs, but in the video in dynamics, do the same, but in statics, just bending your elbows a little. I also do such stands on one fist, in turn, now on the left, then on the right. So far I can stand on one fist for 1.5 minutes, I want to increase the time to 5 minutes, then I’ll upload a video)

Hmmmmm from my understanding, anterior pelvic tilt is good for this stance. But I've seen people suggesting both. What are the reasons for posterior tilt?

Not sure if my toes should be straight out or follow the direction my knees are, when performing the horse stance.

follow the direction of your knees, same as in squats.

Initial picture shows toes pointing out... WRONG! They should point forwards. For this reason I know that you DON'T KNOW what you are on about

@@dalecampbell5617 gently does it. Apart from this there some good guides on here. You really need to have an instructor because as in all martial arts it's the little thiings that make the difference. Good luck

Yes, it is said that the feet should be parallel to each other, but in most photos they are not. What is correct now?

Contracting the anal sphincter is also necessary for prostate, bladder and large intestine tone, and function.
It also furthers personal awareness of one's body and system.

Well, in spite of critics, this was valid info, although bit long, of this basic stance of many martial art styles.
Anyone who critisize it useless, can try to stay in this stance 3-5 minutes. And concentrate there on breathing. Not the pain.
It does not solve your stamina problems, but definitely helps to build it.
The advice given were correct too. Thnx. 👍

If you do this exercise often don’t be surprised if you start having urges to put a feed bag full of oats around your neck. Or perhaps start counting out numbers with one of your feet whilst whinny and neighing. Just saying….
