    i don't rlly think one influenced the other so much as they were kindred spirits who found each other early

    Bolton's ba$dards craziness is something special and memorable. It really put a deep impression on the audience.

    Reek and Ramsey in the books are awesome

  • @myaalexander354

    I think Ramsey was the corrupting force. Ramsey was already out of control before Reek came into the picture. Hearing about Reek’s treatment pre-Ramsey, being ostracized and stigmatized for something he couldn’t control, going to desperate and almost fatal measures to change suggests he craved acceptance. it’s actually heartbreaking. I think Ramsey bonded with Reek because he was the only thing his father had given to him at that point and Reek, finally receiving some kind of acceptance, did anything and everything to please Ramsey, no matter how depraved.

      No, Roose doesn’t know who corrupted who, implying that Reek was already known for being cruel and perverted and with the fact Roose said that the small folk said his stench was a curse by the gods to show that Reek's soul was rotten and foul, that being said it’s likely he became that way due to being shunned by society and by being a servant to one of the cruelest and ruthless lords, not to mention when Ramsay is telling Theon about how Reek died he says about the woman they hunted, “ I was done with her by then… and he/reek liked to take his turn while they were still warm” showing Reek enjoyed it which makes him just as bad as Ramsay, and Lady Donella Hornwood claims “the boy (Ramsay) is a sly creature by all accounts, and he has a servant who’s almost as cruel as he is, Reek they call the man, it’s said he never bathes” don’t be kidded Reek wasn’t forced by Ramsay to do those things he enjoyed it as much as Ramsay

    The problem with cutting Reek from the show is that it kind of comes out of nowhere the fact that Ramsay wants a smelly serving man for no reason.

    Both influenced each other imo, Ramsay was already growing up wild and unruly and Reek was implied to have been bitter and cruel because of people shunning him due to his stench and when he was sent to Ramsay they both brought out the worst in each other

    1st to take the Black for House Blackfyre🗡 I get why he wasn't in the show but Reek 1 would have been disturbingly interesting to see.

      Reek is a curious character. I love the detail about we don't know if he corrupted ramsay or ramsay corrupted him. Also would've been neat to know more about Domeric Bolton, who seemed to one of the few good Bolton in ages.

      Also crazy interesting? He wore flowers in his hair-so did Jenny of Oldstones. Lowkey in text-people wear flowers to cover the stench of rot/death. Reek was born dead, and dead girls are sexy to him is how it looks to me when I hear it in spoken word. Roose sent him on purpose. It was no jape. And when you hear Jon pop up to scare his siblings in the crypts? Spoken word-he is covered in FLOWERS. Written word is flours-pretty clever, that.

    I am I the only one who didn't like Iwan Rheon's performance as Ramsay? I thought there was not depth in the performance but that may have been down to the writing.

      I don’t hate it but don’t love it. At first it was fine but ge kinda turned into a cartoon villain. I tend to fall on the side of it being the direction he was given. Little does of that manic energy were good to watch but it sort of becomes his whole character

    Ramsay killed Roose’s trueborn son. His own half brother. Ramsay definitely wasn’t influenced by reek

      @@RyanRFC Ramsay had multiple reeks. He wasn’t influenced by Reek. No.

    • @RyanRFC
      @RyanRFC Місяць тому

      @@knightsfb32 what are you talking about? There’s only been 2 reeks (the first was the one sent to Ramsay when he was a child as a servant and then after he was killed Ramsay impersonated him to escape death and after he captured Theon he forced him to take on the identity of Reek so there’s only been 2 Reeks) have you actually ever read the books? Ramsay poisoned his brother when he was a teen and by that point Reek had been Ramsays servant for a few years and Roose admits to Theon/2nd reek that he doesn’t know if Ramsay corrupted Reek or if Reek corrupted Ramsay which implies both Reek and Ramsay were already cruel people who just made each other worse when Reek was sent to him
