Preston Jacobs as part of his Dornish theories theorized that Oberyn founded the Brave Companions in his time in Essos which would make sense.

Being a show watcher before I read the books, the Brave Companions were a cool inclusion to the story. I always liked the feeling of dread whenever they appeared, especially later on when they ambush Brianna and Pod who proceede to kick their nasty asses lmao

That was absolutely brutal! I had gobbled up the books by then and was not surprised that the show was really forced to take a different path with Pod, he was yet again just a kid in the books. And to see Brienne's face so brutally disfigured would most likely have not been received well by TV audience.

Interesting that you brought up Craster. I was always fascinated with the way the TV version decided to develop his character and link his 'sacrificed' sons to the the Whitewalkers, which is not in the books. I wonder if that was what Martin had in mind. If so, it would explain why Craster never feared them. As his daughter/wives' fate is never revealed, it would be great to know if they have a part to play later on, if they are indeed the mothers of the Whitewalkers.

I never payed to much attention to aryas chapters so i always wonder how this depraved group of sadistic, psycotic, psycopaths flew under the radar. They sounded rad when first hearing about them.

First to take the black !! For the one and true rightful kings of Westeros …House Targaryen 🖤🖤🔥🔥🔥🐉🐉🐉🗡️🗡️
The spot in the show I like where it shows Jamie’s character is when Instead of m Vargo it’s Locke and he tells Jamie “this makes Makes me happier than all the gold, that makes me happy (pointing his finger at brienne with the bear)
Then all her sapphires, so go buy yourself a golden hand and GO FUCK YOURSELF WITH IT!!”
    Loved that exchange then
Jamie says “sorry about the sapphires”

Both of you are wrong. The only one true King of Westeros is Stannis Baratheon.

I like the theory that the Brave Companions are Oberyn’s old company, and are working for the Martells.

Is there a reason on why they didn't name Locke Vargo? I mean you pretty much gave him Vargo story why not just give him the name.

Vargo and Biter are truly horrible. All the same one of the changes that the show made using Tywin and Arya instead of Roose/Arya/Vargo and the Brave Companions translated way better to screen than the complicated book version. So merging Vargo with Locke was a good show decision, imo.
Edit: I suppose the show had to find a way to kill off Locke. It was very badly done, his character should not have gone forward past Harrenhal.
