20 Min Yoga for Runners | Post Run Stretch

  • This 25 min class is designed to help runners unlock their flexibility. The class uses stretches and mobilization techniques to address the chronically tight and stressed areas for runners to help keep them running pain-free. This class is perfect for people of all levels of flexibility who want to open their bodies. We’ll begin with a brief meditation to draw the awareness inward, followed by a twisting standing pose sequence, and then finish by opening the hip flexors to improve flexibility and mobility in the lower back, legs, hips, inner legs, and groin.

    Literally just walked in the door from my morning run! I've been doing 10-15 minutes of your classes after each run and it has made a world of difference in my stiff hips and hamstrings. Thanks Tim!

    My running days are behind me, but this is a great stretch for walkers too. I love the Conscious Movement Community and recommend it to yogis of all levels. I really enjoy the weekly videos, and dipping into the oldies but goodies. Thanks, Tim! Namaste.

    Long runs often make my shoulders and hip flexors get very stiff, so more exercises on those would be sick. Thank yah!

    I've been following your classes for a while and now have started Couch to 5K. This is perfect!! I feel great.

    These are great - I run several times per week and currently marathon training for Oct Marathon, so would love more of these. So critical to keep injury free, reduce very tight muscles and not forgetting the accumulative tensionfrom running and every day stress. I am part of a Marathon training group so happy to share if you can do a series of these.

    I do yoga since 2020 with your videos! I went back to running recently and this video could not be better timed! I wonder if you find rolling foams helpful and if you shoot a video about how to incorporate them to the post run stretch, I would really appreciate that ❤

    Dear Tim thanks for this much needed for me. At the end i yawned most of the time. Also when in shivasana should we squeeze tummy muscle or just stay relaxed and neutral?

    Would love to get back to running but have been plagued with sciatica (at least I think so) for the past 4 years. Tight left outer hip down to the outside of left knee. This seems to fluctuate in tightness no matter what I try. Stretching seems to be bad as I have read online? I’m at such a loss in what to do to get over this at this point. Any pointers for me Tim? Btw, have been doing yoga on and off as well as pilates and have tried countless youtube videos as well as been to a chiropractor.

      I’d recommend starting my beginners course and then taking the 30 day challenge. I would lay a wager that your situation would be much improved after this
