Anakin: My wife's going to die! What I am going to do?
Palpatine: Join the Dark Side. We got crazy powers that could save her. Besides, it's not like the Jedi have master healers or anything who can bring people back from the brink of death.

Plus some Jedi highly respect him. He probably saved a Jedi healer during clone wars. So he could ask one of them a favor to get a healing crystal of fire. And if the Jedi healer can't help him, then he can always just buy a Healing Crystal of Fire from the black market😒. It's not super complicated.

@@mr.gadfly6249 You're thinking of the Guardians, they were the ones who would dive into combat. The Sentinels were powerful and effective specifically because they weren't active warriors or passive mystics. Sentinels specialized in the indirect and unorthodox. Where a Guardian might break down a locked door, or a Consular might use the Force to open the door, a Sentinel would instead pick the lock and close the door behind him as he left. They would use hacking to get through computer systems, blasters to handle distant foes, stealth to evade battles that didn't need to be fought, and would generally take advantage of anything that would help them in their mission to preserve the balance.
To put it in RPG terms: the Guardians were the warriors or paladins who would take the fight to the Armies of Darkness and would stand in open view to inspire the people of the city, and the Consulars were the mages and clerics, healing the wounded and using their advanced abilities to guide battles or overwhelm the enemy. The Sentinels, meanwhile, were the rangers and rogues, the ones who would stay in the background as spies, who would sabotage the enemy's siege engines and supply chains, and who would stand as the night's watchmen against crime or treachery.

Some Jedi Consulas being the most devastating combatants despite being the least likely to engage in it kind of helps with all of their overall mission. After all - If you are in the middle of a negotiation with one of them mediating it, and have heard that the last lot who tried to put a blaster in the seemingly unassuming mystic monk's head all ended up having to get new arms, you are less likely to shoot the diplomat and just focus on the negotiating at hand. Cause not shooting the messenger is always a good, polite, and respectful idea. Not shooting the diplomat is an even better one, especially when said diplomat can if push comes to show bring down an entire mountain with mysterious powers beyond your comprehension, and wields a plasma sword that can send things shot at them flying back to their source.

The Dark Side was clouding the vision of the Jedi at that time. Yoda himself said so and so did Count Dooku in Attack of the Clones.
Though some Jedi did kind of see -something- coming but not exactly what that was... just that a great darkness was about to be cast over the entire galaxy. It's the whole reason Syfo-Dias wanted to raise an army to defend the Republic. Yoda also had a vision on Dagobah while he was off on that quest that the spirit of Qui-Gon Jinn sent him on.
