Shitty parts like this is a rare find indeed. You specifically need to deliberately search, pursuit, and look for the worst of the worst possible parts.
It's a disgrace to any Aliexpress emulation devices and there are plenty to choose from.
The few latest ones that are good are the Retroid Pocket 2+, the Odin and Ambernic previous device but none hold a candle to the Steam Deck anyway so...

I wasn't prepared for how small it is. 20-30 years in the future they could release a PS5 mini that looks like this.
if in 20 years the system still needs to be this big, and not 1/3 the size, it means we got some serious problems to deal with, so no real development in improving tech and chips. expect the real PS4 or 5 mini to be as big as a smartphone.
@The tricky tick I don't really care for the size. It's the specs that matter, at least to me.
You can actually get a Chrome Cast size/style (design and look) console... Granted, its either a Windows PC (think Intel computer stick or a clone) or an Android device, but you can get one and literally hide it behind your TV.

These small knock-off game systems will always hold a special place in my heart. I don't know what it is, I just find them endearing.
They are literally a waste of plastic.

Probably because they're small and are such obvious knockoffs to our eyes that they don't really seem like a fraud.
My dad bought me one like this back in the day but it was PS2 instead, you can imagine my disappointment when we knew it was fake lol nonetheless my brother and i still enjoyed playing old classics, it was my first time playing Super Mario.

Dude those are the best "My parents bought me X" memories! Like just the fact your old man took the time to at least attempt to get you something nice is admirable.
Back in 1996 my mom attempted to get me some games for my brand new PS1. Instead of getting Final Fantasy 7, she got me a couple of Sega Saturn games..... Trying to explain to her why Saturn games wouldn't run on PS1 was an experience.....
One high point was she did get me King's Field II. Couldn't really talk to my friends about it, because it was a very niche title, but it did make me a fan of King's Field.
GS5 exclusives, Poltergeist of Tsushima, The last of those people, and that awesome game God of confrontations. Can't wait to see what other bangers the GS5 brings us.
Don't forget the modern classics like "Fiendish Ghosts Remastered" and "Don't Go to the West Coast"

And if you're having a hard time getting one of these bad boys because of the chip shortage and scalpers, they also offer the GS4 Pro to hold you over.
I don't think it's emulation, that would require way more processing power and work (and thus cost). I think this is just a single chip NES clone.
As Chinese emulation boxes go, that one wasn't even remotely worth $60 with only 200 games and an old handheld game system crappy menu presentation. Looking at the small PCB inside, it looks like it is the pitiful level of hardware found in OLD handheld game units. Super ripoff.
This is a famiclone, not emulation.
Still not worth the cash but hey, lets be accurate.

@@winstonsmith478 The one inside this is probably a VT02 manufactured by V. R. Technology of Taiwan. They're almost like the original famicom, but with a few enhancements. They've been around since the early 2000s.
After taking apart that controller I am 100% confident that I've seen a worst controller. The controller that I'm thinking of used rubber membranes for every button and not just the start and select. Not sure how to describe it but when I say that I mean that the rubber membranes were sticking up through the controller and there was no plastic button on top.
Didn't the first couple production runs of the Family Computer (called "square-button Famicom" by collectors) also use rubber membranes for the A and B Buttons?

Yes the actual design isn't that bad. Like he said, someone could easily fit a raspberry pi in there and do some fun stuff.

Youll be surprised how popular these are in less fortunate areas. I use to wonder who would ever buy these but some parents buy em for their kids in poorer places just so that they have something. GS5 doesn't have microtransactions. You don't need it online connectivity. Its cheaper than PS5 or XBox series. No joycon drift. Its perfect.

It never ceases to amaze me that they still can't get the game to run properly or updated the games list, I get their plan is to rip people off but imagine how much better they'd do if word got around that it actually works?
I wouldn't dare plug that thing in. A lot of these fake game consoles are potential fire hazards due to poor quality parts.

Would have loved to see their version of Plants vs Zombies. This has never been released in any form that this chip could possibly run, so they must have made their own.

Here at SIE, Sony and PlayStation we can envisage a situation where someone will ask their parents, grandparents or significant other to get them a PlayStation 5 for their birthday or their Christmas only to be met with crushing dissapointment when they discover they got a GS5. However, they should not worry as we continue to work behind the scenes with our amazing and talented teams at PlayStation Studios to bring our whole slate of games to PC.
My #1 wishlist item is Metal Gear Solid 2 for PS5 :)

@@timmybee3669 Porting our great games to PC is no joke as we have already ported Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone and God of War to PC. Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection, Spiderman Miles Morales and Spiderman Remastered are also making their way to PC with more to follow.

The most interesting thing about these devices is the rom hack bootleg games that come with it like that Harry Potter game. I wish they went past NES/SNES era games though.
The biggest Factor of this video caught me offguard.
The Harry Potter game you found was an unlicensed game called Magic Carpet 1001, and it came with the NES Clone "Turbo Game" in Brazil in the 90's. I had one and I loved that game, but it was much better than the harry potter version you found. Different roms are found given the credits to Caltron and Mega Soft as developers, but hardly to verify who actually developed that one. I recommend the original, though ;)
I got a ps5 last year and done even use it. I use the switch all the time instead and that’s kinda crazy

6:19 That's a famiclone, not an emulation box. It uses the NOAC (NES-on-a-chip) hardware, not an emulator.

The moment you noted the lack of shoulder buttons, I all but knew it was going to be a famiclone containing either Nintendo games or those weird garbage bootleg NES games that come on some non-copyright-infringing ones.
