Can't wait to watch Wade completely destroy and trash anything that he buys and then come here to watch James treat junk with the best care and love for it.
@MrDjBigZ at that point isn't it cheaper to 3d print it? Pretty sure I've seen a PS5 case on one of those 3d printing resource pages, Even if you have to have it printed by a store
Wade and James' styles are similar yet different enough to be able to jump from watching one to the other and it still be comfy and refreshing. it's easy to see why they're friends.
This channel is literally everything I hoped it would be. The scuffed but somehow working projects, the calm and collected nature of James, and the chaos of the things he can create all creates a perfect package Personally I would recommend adding some background music While you're not playing games or anything just so there's something to fill the void, but that's just my preference
I absolutely love the little.. mannerisms you inherited from Wade, but you’ve like- messed with them and made everything into your own. As someone who’s super into retro consoles, I absolutely love this channel so far. Also, the cat trills- I love them-
I can't wait to see more. Be it more bootlegs or classic game stuff. I love these kinda down home "watch me break something and I'll show you how it works" kinda things
fuck yeah. I loved watching Ashens and Dank do stuff on bootlegs and now I have another man with a funny accent looking at garbage. Truly my life is good.
Fun fact about Fami-clones (Expanding on whats mentioned earlier in the video): The original patents for the motherboard and chips in the NES and Famicom expired in 2003, so its 100% legal for them to be made as long as they aren't stealing copyrighted Intellectual property, which is why so many famiclones has cartridge slots that can read original games, meaning that the consumer has to buy the copyrighted game, making it entirely legal with no breaches of copyright law.
I love seeing James finally have a channel, it’s a dream come true. Dank started my headphone addiction and audiophile setup. Now, James has a channel and I’m going to end up with a vintage “vydia” game collection lol, I’ve never been happier
This reminds me of when my parens bought me a genuine POLYSTATION 1. It came with 2 cartriges of old NES games. Good to see these bootlegs still going strong and getting with the times.
While this whole video is amazing, the thing that will make me a subscriber is your personality. The balance between humour and earnestness (saving the bug!) is just perfect!
4:02 "You're familiar with Billy Mitchell? World video game champion. He could probably do it, so I've gotta find a way to harness his power, and I think I've found a way! *That's right we're gonna cheat!"*
So, after these 3 videos, I came to a conclusion . James is the youtuber you watch to chill down and relax before going to sleep . Wade is the youtuber you watch after waking up .
The housing is actually quite cool, it'd be great to set up a little Raspberry Pi in there to emulate PS1 games. Incidentally, please tell us the names of your cats, they're beautiful beasts and I love them already.
You can buy one with hdmi, wireless controllers, and multi-platform emulation out of the box.. I have no idea what guts are in that one but I’m guessing a pi clone or something like it. It costs a lot more though
oh my goshh!!! he is so calm and soft spoken!!! this is incredible have a new channel to relax to before sleep, this is honestly everything i wanted ;-; thank you
Growing up in Chile meant that you got a new of this every time you asked for a new gen console. PS2? Nah mate get your Poly Station. Xbox360? Game Station looks damn god if you ask me. And probably the funniest thing was that they all came with new cartridges but I always used the same one that had like 15 games or so. Glad you have your own channel now too James! Can't wait for more chaotic content. Oh also I should let you know that I treat my SNES like the holy grail so your portable SNES video broke something deep inside my core as a human being. That's exactly what I was expecting.
Going forward, It would be awesome to see you take apart more tech at a component level and explain things about them! I love hearing about how you can just jump wired from one trace to another to make something work and things like that! :D
Harry Potter *I suspect* is a hack of Magic Carpet 1001 from Caltron 6-in-1. I recognise Angry Birds II as well, it's a reskin of The New Zealand Story/Kiwi Kraze.
A lot of these interesting Famiclones having really weird and obscure Demakes/NES "Ports" really make em a cool piece of hardware in my book. Maybe one day we will run into the Infamous Somario or Super Mario World NES.
So I just watched all 3 videos and they were all really good. I like the good variety of content that all fit under a similar umbrella. The only thing I would say that's missing is background music, something that just helps fill in the void. Other than that, these are great! Can't wait to see what you come up with in the near future! (Side note, I find it kinda funny that your desk is basically just the opposite of the Dankpod's channel rocking the Red rather than the green iPad)
@@mikehawkheir5554 There are similarities in the editing and camerawork, but those are really the only points of comparison. James is covering video game stuff in contrast to Wade who does phone and portable media player stuff, and James shows the electrical engineering side of those things or uses them for his own projects in contrast to Wade who now focuses on showing products as they were when they were sold and from the consumer's view. They're filling two different niches, there just happen to be similarities because they work together on other things.
Aw yeah, James, as soon as I saw that little bit of your collection in Wade's video, I knew I had to sub. Proper collection you've got, honestly terrifying at points because of all the old screens and every N64 colour (I think, maybe you're missing the blue JP one, couldn't actually tell) and that huge pop n music machine. Video style itself is like a more calm Ashens, which is probably what you went for, and that's all right with me. Subbed, mate.
this rules! glad you made a channel, james. i’m really into collecting retro games and stuff as well (and fixing them!), but my collection’s nowhere near as impressive as yours. i love bootlegs a lot, so i hope you show off some more weirdo stuff!
Just a quick note James, you're getting a lot of plosives through the mic. To get rid of them you can either get a pop filter, or just run a high-pass filter over the vocal track in your video (set it to about 70ish Hz) Keen AF to see more of your video game stuff! :DDDDD
it's funny the japanese text underneath "Gamestation 5" literally just says "Classic Classic" oh boy that really is the classic of the classics there, angry birds on the nes
I know everyone is coming here from Garbage Time's video, but I legitimately enjoy this presentation style and content. I dig the content, James, keep it up!
Can't wait to watch Wade completely destroy and trash anything that he buys and then come here to watch James treat junk with the best care and love for it.

It's incredible that James' editing style while different still feel like Wade edited this for him.

This is a truly magical moment. James, I’m a huge fan of retro games and as such, consider me an eternal supporter and subscriber.
