You can buy one with hdmi, wireless controllers, and multi-platform emulation out of the box.. I have no idea what guts are in that one but I’m guessing a pi clone or something like it. It costs a lot more though

Growing up in Chile meant that you got a new of this every time you asked for a new gen console. PS2? Nah mate get your Poly Station. Xbox360? Game Station looks damn god if you ask me. And probably the funniest thing was that they all came with new cartridges but I always used the same one that had like 15 games or so. Glad you have your own channel now too James! Can't wait for more chaotic content. Oh also I should let you know that I treat my SNES like the holy grail so your portable SNES video broke something deep inside my core as a human being. That's exactly what I was expecting.

Proper collection you've got, honestly terrifying at points because of all the old screens and every N64 colour (I think, maybe you're missing the blue JP one, couldn't actually tell) and that huge pop n music machine. Video style itself is like a more calm Ashens, which is probably what you went for, and that's all right with me. Subbed, mate.
A lot of these interesting Famiclones having really weird and obscure Demakes/NES "Ports" really make em a cool piece of hardware in my book. Maybe one day we will run into the Infamous Somario or Super Mario World NES.
So, after these 3 videos, I came to a conclusion . James is the youtuber you watch to chill down and relax before going to sleep . Wade is the youtuber you watch after waking up .
So I just watched all 3 videos and they were all really good. I like the good variety of content that all fit under a similar umbrella. The only thing I would say that's missing is background music, something that just helps fill in the void. Other than that, these are great! Can't wait to see what you come up with in the near future! (Side note, I find it kinda funny that your desk is basically just the opposite of the Dankpod's channel rocking the Red rather than the green iPad)

James is covering video game stuff in contrast to Wade who does phone and portable media player stuff, and James shows the electrical engineering side of those things or uses them for his own projects in contrast to Wade who now focuses on showing products as they were when they were sold and from the consumer's view. They're filling two different niches, there just happen to be similarities because they work together on other things.

The reason the titles are removed is to not infringe trademark law, which is enforced differently to copyright law. So, if a bootlegger were located somewhere where the copyright for the games aren’t enforced, but the trademarks are, removing the title logos from the games could allow them to continue making bootlegs unimpeded by Nintendo and law enforcement. That’s of course why the GameBoy showed the Nintendo logo on the boot screen. The Nintendo logo displayed on a GameBoy on boot is located on the game cartridge, and the GameBoy checks if the boot image on the game cartridge matches Nintendo’s logo. If the is a mismatch, the game won’t launch, if there is a match, Nintendo could potentially take action for trademark infringement.

I used to collect bootlegs, and back when I did, stuff like the GS5 would be the holy grail every-time I went searching. The games, the controller, the thin crappy shell and terrible name... It's a rare sight, something so profoundly bad. I love it.
Fun fact about Fami-clones (Expanding on whats mentioned earlier in the video): The original patents for the motherboard and chips in the NES and Famicom expired in 2003, so its 100% legal for them to be made as long as they aren't stealing copyrighted Intellectual property, which is why so many famiclones has cartridge slots that can read original games, meaning that the consumer has to buy the copyrighted game, making it entirely legal with no breaches of copyright law.

Just a quick note James, you're getting a lot of plosives through the mic. To get rid of them you can either get a pop filter, or just run a high-pass filter over the vocal track in your video (set it to about 70ish Hz) Keen AF to see more of your video game stuff! :DDDDD
I remember when I was a wee baby (circa 2001 ~ 2005) my family wasn't able to get me a proper console since they were pretty expensive (Here in Latin America at least) so they got me different famiclones through all those years since you could find them pretty much everywhere and people asked ~USD$15 for them and it amazes me that most of the ROMS and ROM hacks that you showed are the exact ones that I played back when I was like 6 or 7 years old!
I remember how cool it was when i first got a famiclone around 2008. It even came with a light gun that worked. Controller looked like an n64 but underneath you could stick famicom games in.
