Dude you gotta show us more of the costume man the first part is amazing 👏 I'm gonna start 3D printing after watching ur stuff use inspired me amazing stuff thank you
he never finishes a series. Really wanted to see the rest
Gonna be like Keaton Batman where he had to turn his whole body lol
Haha 110%
Oh Good Lord that was/is awkward to watch
Looks like “neck injury” Batman after chasing the Joker through Walmart went bad.
Use a thin gaiter glued to the neck pieces that goes under the cowl. Then you can use velcro on the outside of the gaiter to hold the cowl in place more. But this will cover any skin that may poke through and tie the pieces together in a way that still allows some movement.
Random Gothamite: Hey Batman, over here!
Batman: *moves entire body to look to the side*
I love TPU. Great stuff! Good to see you *really* excited about this project. Can’t wait to see it when complete!
Yes!! I am so stoked for this!
AWESOME Job!!! Looking Forward to the Series.
Love Nikko!
Love this! Very nice work and I love seeing the different approaches that you took for each piece. 👍🏻
I am so excited for this!
So cool can’t wait to build my own
This was so awesome!!! Im glad somebody finally took this on!! Great job!
So dang excited for this one. Chest piece printing right now 🤘
@@UncleJessy dude..YES!! Cant wait man!!! 🦇
@@UncleJessy Are you going to make anymore videos of this build?
Hopefully the next parts of the build come out soon but great work you inspired me to print the nikko cowl in tpu and it looks beautiful. Keep up the great work
Looks really good!
Looks awesome!
I love this! I was looking at this suit myself and you inspired me to take the leap (plus the discounts help) I am so excited for the rest of this series
How did it come out?
have you done it?
Love the bat grimace
Looks crazy awesome.......👏👏👏, great work Jess
"If you are justice! Please do not lie"
Awesome!
You should use black elastic strips for the neck piece to keep it secure
Truly remarkable. Thanks for sharing your work.
Use neodym magnet on the inside to close the seam
Has there been anything ever created that has brought more joy to the nerds than 3D printing? Maybe Big Bang Theory?
Watching u get excited about chin and neck piece and then redoing in purple made me want to get into this so badly now!
If you rough up the tpu, you can apply creature cast as a base. Creature cast is a Neoprene material used for masks and cosplay. I use it on foam allot and the beauty os that you can sand it down and use any acrylic paint to dress it up.
Can't wait for more videos in this series, for the TPU pieces you might be able to fill and clean up the print with a 3D Printing pen.
Ohhh great call! Will add that to my list. Will for sure be putting out a video testing out TPU cleanup options.
Now that’s a perfect size scale
Try some magnets to connect the cowl and neck piece, that way they stay in place but won't break if you move around too much
Looks amazing when you finishing the cosplay
This will be interesting. I have wondered about how painting the flexibles would go.
gotta try printing it with flexible resin!! dope vid
you use the flexible resin to create molds, to pour the flexible resin
That looks incredible! Although I do suggest that you soften the cheekbone area. It sticks out a bit to much so when you put it on you kind of look like an alien. It still looks amazing and it’s better than anything I could ever do.
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!! THANKS MAN!!
The man himself!
Terrific collaboration!
ive been wondering how feasible printing a batman neck piece in tpu would be but couldnt find any videos or posts on it, this video came at the perfect time
never finishes a series. Really wanted to see the rest
This is going to be so cool!
Thanks man!!
The Pattinson Batman is starting to become one of my favorite Batman designs. So badass.
I need part 2!
uncle jessy finish the series!!!
You do good vids. I've tinkered with tpu a little bit, here's what I've done with clean up. After removing the big stuff I did some scraping to help it get rid of any lumps/jagged spots, then hit it with some heat. For the back where you sliced it, maybe some rivets and elastic strips might sufficient to keep it in place as well as for ease of taking it on and off. Looking forward to the next parts. Thanks for the content!
for the TPU i think you could try liquid latex on the defects and a couple of coats of plasti dip on top.
Yeppers full video on TPU cleanup testing coming soon
Excellent look, he's Beardman! I look forward to the complete look.
NICE!
So cool! I am going to make on for me and 2 for my boys, thanks!
Man I love your laugh and passion. Your laugh after making the neck piece 😂😂
One word.... AWESOME!!!
One thing about Nikko's files... they are built by someone with printing experience. He keeps orientation in mind. You should see this Battinson file I have. My gosh orientation is next to impossible. Looking at Nikko's file, printing this would be soooo much easier.
Jessy, you always remind me that it is ok to be a full grown kid...LOL
Looking great
Thanks for sharing :-)
nice bat suit... love it
Woah dude! Lookin NICE!
What? No "I'm Batman!"
I love the enthusiasm. Good stuff!
That would be awesome if you made a mold and casted the helmet! I think that would be a great video, I’ve been wanting to print a full cowl batman mask and make a mold but lack the knowledge
Thanks for sharing your passion with the world keep it going
If you really wanted to go crazy you can print all of the flexible parts in PLA. Finish them with paint and then mold and cast them with latex
Damn this is new
So awesome, so much patience haha
Looks dope 👍
Paint some stitching lines along the nose, eyes n ears section
I would say to try put at least a few super magnets to the cowl to connect it to the helmet?? I know velco wouldn't be as good, but it's worth a shot
Try velcro with elastic straps or buttons to fasten it down
We need a drinking game for every time @uncle jessy says "run off."
Nikko is a great guy and that cowl is A.W.E.S.O.M.E!
I know you went and showed your kids, I’d love to see that video and there reaction. Lol I ordered the Jupiter on kickstarter and I’m def going to do this.
uncle, you're the best, you bring out the kid in me....
You can use maybe magnets to connect the pieces together
Epic
Lol how funny. Here I was on Reddit trying to tell you how to finish your prints with bondo. Had no idea it was you 😂
No worries mate 🤘🤣
Dude, I was super hesitant when I saw it was Robert Pattenson. I am warming up to the idea, but DC has played with my heart one too many times when it comes to the bat.
Anywho, it is a great costume and I am super psyched about this!!
I would consider coating the tpu in black plastidip to cover the layer issues.
Looks like a very cool neck brace 🤣
3D Printing looks so easy but you don't realize the problems that happen and it gets exhausting. I would make it all in PLA and or Resin and then cast it in a flexible material.
great vid. Every time you put the helm on you you do the Batman voice just because its Baman
Awesome! Could please share the settings you used when printing this out with TPU?
Hey Jessey. That's a very great big project you got there! You might want to add some magnets here and there to hold some pieces together while still being able to take them off separately.
I only have a Ender 3. Do you think I can still make a project this big?
Are you printing all the pieces with the 0.6 nozzle but at 0.2 layer height? It all looks amazing.
Will there be a part 2?!
May want to leave some of those imperfections to give it a more natural look.
I was thinking the same thing. I’m not a big fan of “clean” “perfect” costumes.
Even more so for Batman
Yeah. Batman isn't concerned with aesthetics, only function. He wouldn't let his suit get too damaged to be functional (in normal circumstances), but he'd absolutely keep wearing one with some scuffs and battle damage.
@@UncleJessy could smooth some of those problem areas down with a plastic welder (ie a plastic soldering iron)
le quedo bien pro don 😎
You should use thin magnetic tape to connect the parts
You gained a new sub man
Thanks man. New video coming soon
Broooooooooo let me spend my Christmas savings
You should cast that neck piece (the cowl) in hard or medium silicone, for better mobility. I think those black 3d printed parts might prevent you from turning your head around. Otherwise beautiful work!
nice
Fantastic video. The prints turned out great. I ordered the new Creality CR6 MAX (my first 3D printer), and I was wondering if you would share any advice on good filament to purchase? I am living in Europe (Germany), so anything available over here would be appreciated. Looking forward to the next video.
u can put belt or somewhat an elastic material
Out of the 3d printers you had used in the video. Which one would be a good printer to start out with as a beginner?
damn man i admire that you actually used tpu with supports x.x
Haha I saw people saying it wasn’t a good idea but 🤷♂️💪💪 and they came off haha
@@UncleJessy u tha real mvp
looks amazing!! ill follow your work till the end of times! cheers!
Did a part 2 of this ever come out? I cant find it anywhere
Any update on the build? I’m starting to work on a suit of armor as well! Keep up the fantastic videos. I’m a huge fan!
How has it turned out?
3:35 get some adruino in there and get some servo assistance !
even your test print look like you could fill it with some 'glass and resin and bondo lol
I just want to let you know....because
of this video I just grabbed me some silk black grey pla and I'm going to finish my magneto helmet...lol....thank you!
i think if u went .5 percent thinner on the neck u might be able to move your neck? idk never used flexible filament that big lol
Do you think you'll keep the neck piece the same or are you gonna try and modify it so you can move your head around more?
Still up in the air on that. I was debating on reprinting it with maybe 1 wall and zero infill to see how much more flexible it might be
Batman that looks like Daredevil.
I've been wanting to get into cosplay and wanted to find a good and affordable printer. Could you give me some advice?
100usd and then have to spent like almost the same on filament and month of print insane 😂
