They've had this DLC on the PC version for a while glad it's finally coming to switch
it just came out of early access which is why it came to consoles as well

Can't say I expected a DLC for Crypt of the NecroDancer.
It is a game form 2015 after all (Granted, I never had heard of Cadence and the others before the release on Switch but that wasn't exactly yesterday either.)
Also a surprise as Rift is slated for "sometime" this year.
But a nice surprise for sure. ^^
The DLC has been in early access on Steam for over 18 months. They worked quite closely with the community, especially the competitive racing scene. Head to head races are where the game is still most active today.

I bought the game idek how long ago but recently really got into it after beating side order for the first time and did my first full run of necrodancer shortly thereafter. This is a welcome surprise to me

Wow.never would've thought the original would get dlc..not now. It's been what, 5 1/5,6 years?
This is actually the second dlc. The first one, Amplified, added Nocturna, area 5, and some other things like balance changes for some reason, but it's always packaged in with the switch version instead of being a separate thing

Yayyyyyy 🤘 I have the physical version of Necrodancer. I have 135 hours clocked in and I haven't gotten the final character Coda. I probably won't ever unlock him though. It's too hard

@derek3512 It is definitely nice to have a major modern game release complete at launch, but there definitely was some missed potential in not doing any DLC for the game.

Splatoon 3 made me buy the game due to side order dlc. Glad you get better guns later on and poison, with being able to jump to it very quickly (like dbz kakarot that did well with goku's next journey, though $40 SP2 is overpriced if you bought before similar priced legendary edition). That level 4 bs for online was tedious let alone stuck with bad guns vs a cruel lobby, with no bots/local multiplayer to train, though there is another single player campaign (but you're not fighting vs enemies with guns).
It is sad that the bundle is as lame as smash bros fighter passes (which they still don't bundle with game, piranha plant nor outfits).
But yeah most of the time dlc is tedious fighting game characters more expensive than older games they're in (nice when stuff goes on sale like kof xv or samurai shodown to be reasonably under $3 per character, though mk11, soul calibur 6 and injustice 2 are dirt cheap to include everything).
Then of course the post game bs (horizon, stranger of paradise) that I'm better off spending the money on a new game like promenade (klonoa clone but no idea why it is $5 off for playstation but not nintendo) or upcoming Nintendo stuff.
I bought the physical version of the game which contained amplified but it doesn't have a page on the eShop how can I get the new dlc?
Probably just update your game.

@@suethenym To put it simply from my player experience, the physical version is considered to be a separate game which is not associated with any game on the eshop. So if you buy the dlc on the eshop you buy it not for the physical version but exclusively for the digital version, what needs to be done is like for the physical version of Isaac, it is to create an independent version on the eshop so that players can buy the dlc which will be compatible only with the physical version.
@@tiloubilou I've never tried since most of my physicals are older games but if what you're saying is true then Nintendo gotta stop sipping on the stupid juice cause it can't be that hard to program "IF game exists on console THEN make DLC work"

It's been in the works for a few years now in early access on steam, and even before then as a fan project before getting adopted

Played a lot of this on Steam but it turns out I don't really need much of a reason to play it again on Switch...
I am a bit confused. Is the Name of the DLC "SYNCHRONY" for the game "Crypt of the Necrodancer" or is it a DLC for a game called "Crypt of the Necrodancer: SYNCHONY"?
Game titles could be a bit more easy.
It's the former. Though basically it affects the original game too so it's more like DLC that upgrades you to a new edition of the game.

Can't blame them, they ran out of inspiration long ago. Heck the last game was just a compilation of the mini-games from other RH games. Unless they actually put in some effort I can't say I care about it ever returning. The first few games were fun but they just quickly ran out of creative steam.

A bit dissapointed about this update, i feel like i waste money and waited so long for just some characters and some improvements... No new ost or huge exciting content
